Excellent place in a gorgeous neighborhood

We had a wonderful trip in this charming place. Really close to beach and restaurants, but had equally good times just hanging on the deck or inside. And the neighborhood is worth the walk (or jog). Host was quick and detailed with all communications. Highly recommend.

Great place close to the University

We stayed here for a week while our kids attended a sports camp at Pepperdine. The place had good parking for two vehicles. It's a quiet neighborhood. It gets a great ocean breeze. Perfect size for a family.

Good Location

Our family of six adults was very comfortable. We stayed for a long weekend for our niece’s wedding at the Historic Adamson house in Malibu. It was convenient to stock up on provisions at the nearby Ralphs and CVS.

Family gathering for Pepperdine Graduation

Booked this property because of its excellent proximity to Pepperdine for our niece’s graduation. Property is as described, nothing fancy; the home, furnishings and linens are dated. But again, considering the area, it was affordable and conveniently located. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. Response time from our host was excellent- she came quickly with extra linens and to repair one of the showers.

The property is stunning from the surrounding Malibu mountain range, and the coastal view from the front of the driveway too the gorgeous wild flowers covering the whole house line. The location was so convenient with groceries stores and shopping center right down the road. The house was clean, and growing up on the beach myself the home had an incredible aroma of beach air throughout the house, the rooms and beds were clean and comfortable from the pillows to the sheets. There was a minor inconvenience and the property manager worked with us to set a wonderful experience in the end. 4/5 would definitely stay here again.

Awesome experience!!

We really enjoyed the property and our stay. The house was very clean and has a nice cozy atmosphere. We encountered a few minor issues during our stay which were immediately rectified by the owner and property manager, both of whom were a pleasure to deal with. The garden surrounding the property are beautiful and well maintained…and the location was perfect. A very quaint and quiet neighborhood located minutes away from most local attractions. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Malibu. Thanks to the owner and property manager for their great communication and hospitality! :)

Lovely Malibu Home

My wife and our 2 daughters spent 2 nights in this lovely Malibu home. Just a few miles away from Point Dume, the location can’t be beat! We stayed Dec 28-30, so certainly not the busy season. However, the weather cooperated and we were able to walk and hike along Point Dume State Beach. The home itself was clean and organized. The 2 main bedrooms were lovely, along with a 3rd bedroom that came equipped with a trundle bed, ideal for kids. The two full bathrooms were great for accommodating our family of 4. In addition, the back deck and grill came in handy for cooking and eating meals. Whole Foods was minutes away, making it convenient to stop by and pick up any last minute items for lunch or dinner. We even had dinner at the Malibu pier during the last night of our stay, just a quick drive from the house. We will definitely plan on staying here again the next time that we are in the area!

House has so many issues!

One of the bathroom showers flooded the hallway and a bedroom so was unusable. One of the fire alarm batteries started chirping at 4am. One of the toilets ran constantly. On Sunday morning the water heater started making loud tapping noises at 6am. The property manager was unable to deal with any of these situations. Also the bunk bedroom is a trundle bed not a bunk bed. It was fine as there were only three people staying in the house. This will be my last VRBO booking. It’s hotels from now on.

Unfortunate Experience

Initially, our stay was wonderful. The house matched the description in the listing perfectly. However, on the second day, an appliance delivery occurred without our knowledge. A repairman entered the home, removed a bedroom door (which was not reattached), and left a window open, with all our belongings in the house. Additionally, the large washer and dryer that were delivered were left in the living room, causing an obstruction. When I requested compensation for these issues, the property owner ceased responding to my messages.

Clean quaint house in quiet neighborhood

The house was clean and had everything we needed. It is very close to Pepperdine which was the main reason for us booking this house. The neighborhood is quiet and we were happy with being able to park on the street since we had 3 cars. There are 2 properties on the lot so we had to make sure not to block the path for the house behind us. Our back house neighbors were nice and friendly so all was good. We had one issue with the shower pressure and Ruby was responsive and had someone out to fix it that day. Two surprises were the step downs into 2 of the bedrooms are quite large. There are signs to remind you and we were very careful. The second surprise was the 2nd shower in the hall bathroom is quite small. We are a tall family(5'9'' to 6'8''). We all used the other shower, but we appreciated having 2 bathrooms for our other needs. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you
