Bank Street Bungalow

Newly renovated 1940's Bungalow located in the heart of Mayberry. We are within walking distance to downtown shopping, restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries. We are literally around the corner from Wally's Service Station where they offer rides in the squad cars. Pilot Mtn park is a 15 minute drive south on hwy 52. It has some amazing views and hiking paths. Speaking of walking paths, Mount Airy has some beautiful paths downtown, along the river.
We are in close proximity to several Yadkin Valley wineries. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a 15 minute ride north of us. It's a beautiful sight anytime of the year but Fall is amazing.
This non smoking home has 3 bedrooms (queen bed, full bed and bunk beds - 200lb limit on bunks) 2 baths (one tub / one shower) and is full of charm.
We have two porches and a deck to sit and relax on (smoking permitted there only, not inside the home) and enjoy the NC weather.
Our home has WiFi, cable TV, fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. Extra linens are available and the beds are freshly made.

We have parking to accommodate 4 cars.

We take cleaning serious! We do our best to provide you with a clean, comfortable environment.

If you are having a great time and wish to extend your stay for another day, please contact me. We might be able to accommodate you depending on our reservations.

Pets with good manners are welcome. We only ask you to please close the doors to the bedrooms you are not using. Please also know that there are gaps in the fence where a small dog can slip through. Don't forget to bring your pet's favorite bedding with you so they are comfortable.

Children should be over 5 years old. Please be aware that we have cleaning supplies within reach of small hands.

Liz is the best to work with. The house is the best if you want to stay close to everything downtown. I highly recommend staying here. The house was decorated for Christmas, made it feel just like at home.

The property is close to everything. It was just around the corner from Walley's Service Station where we took a police car tour. It was well decorated and very clean. The host was awesome! She had complementary snaks and even a "Happy Anniversary" banner!I would highly recommend this property!

This was the perfect home-away-from-home. The house was cozy and comfortable, truly felt like staying with a relative. The neighborhood was cute and quiet, and we loved being within walking distance to everything! The space had everything we needed and made our trip so easy and enjoyable.

Love love love Bank Street Bunglaow! Host knew it was my bday and had a Birthday Banner hung for me. How thoughtful. Candy jars filled with goodies for guests! Bathrooms stocked with toiletries. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. This Host thought of everything! And the proximity to town is wonderful. I will def stay here again, and highly recommend to everyone.

Bank Street Bungalow is an adorable property. Decor and amenities were great! Very clean. Enjoyed having some fall decorations around the house too. About a mile to walk to historic area of town, or less than 5 minute drive. We also visited a local winery. Elizabeth was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place!

This was our 2nd stay, in two years, visiting family. Absolutely cannot fault this property and Liz. Beds are very comfortable, showers are hot, kitchen accommodates cooking. There's lovely outside space, front and back. We're never staying anywhere else.

Fantastic location, we walked everywhere . Clean, quiet and very accommodating. We sat outside on the great patio morning and night. The beds are comfortable too.

Everything at this Bungalow is perfect! We had an amazing time during our stay. The house had everything in it to meet our needs. I would highly recommend this lodging to all that visit Mt Airy. What a Find!

We had such a great time! The accommodations were some of the best we have had. Location was awesome, it was within walking distance of Mayberry activity and one block from the Squad Car tours. Neighborhood was quiet, you could walk it anytime day or night. Host provided tons of amenities… the free candy jar was a hit. The bungalow was updated and decor was perfect. Offered three outside areas to sit, visit, and relax. It a great place to stay will recommend and also book again! Check-in was a breeze and communication with the host was quick and precise. We didn’t cook in but it was a wonderful area to hang and was fully functional with seating and a large island prep area with deep sink.
