30 second walk to the sand!!! Come stay at the Purple Pelican! From the front deck, you'll have a view of the bay on one side and the ocean on the other. 3rd row, on a quiet dead end street, you will be steps away from the sand with a board walk right to the beach. Linens, towels, beach toys, chairs and umbrellas provided. Bring plenty of ice and bottled water as the city water is not consumable. With all the amenities of home, you'll be sure to have a relaxing stay at our home away from home!

Great Beach House!

This house is very clean, comfortable & close to the beach (just a couple houses from the beach front). Our family of four with two teenagers enjoyed our getaway immensely! This was our first time trying Surfside, and we liked the laidback feel of the area.

Great place to stay

The purple pelican is a great place to stay! The house was clean and comfortable and has everything you need. Short, quick walk to the beach. Communication with owners was great. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again.

Great house and location

House was great, beds were comfortable, and the location was perfect. The sulfur smell during showers was not pleasant, but not sure what could be done about that.

Weekend Getaway

The house was nicely furnished and very clean. The host had thought of “all the things” we could possibly need while away from home. Location in the neighborhood was perfect. It was just a short walk to the beach.

Everything about the listing was so true! We would definitely stay here again. They had everything we needed and my family loved it as well! Very clean and well stocked with all amenities! Host was very quick to respond when needed! Loved that it had cable as well!

Amazing Beach House

This was an extremely clean and beautiful home. We traveled from out of state so it was great to have the beach chairs and towels provided. The mosquitos were pretty bad but there was a fogger the night before we left.

Best Beach House Ever

Everything was wonderful! From booking online to checking out…..everything in between was truly the best! After we checked-in with ease, we unloaded and headed straight to the beautiful ocean/beach. The Purple Pelican has everything you need and more….they have truly thought what we might need why we are away from home. So accommodating and everything works that they have….wi-fi, oven, microwave, TVs, A/C…etc. They provide tons of beach toys, a wagon and more. We all enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back soon. The owner was very kind and communicated promptly. We throughly enjoyed our visit to Surfside and the Purple Pelican made it that much better. That is why my kids said “this is the best beach house ever”!

Amazing stay!!!

This is our second time to stay at the Purple Pelican! We LOVE the cleanliness, comfortable beds, and great location! The kitchen is well stocked and the closet is packed with whatever you may need on the beach! The Hicks family is most hospitable!! We will continue to stay here as long as we can - our family is growing so we may need a bigger house soon! Thank you, Purple Pelican!! Best vacation ever!!! (For the second time!)

Best home away from home

Wow is an understatement! The Purple Pelican is by far the best host we have experienced with VRBO. The house is clean, cozy, and has everything you need. If you have any questions, they respond quickly. We aren't beach people, and prefer the mountains, but the Purple Pelican has us looking at future dates to return!! Thank you to Purple Pelican for providing a home away from home.

Peaceful Perfection

The owners are amazing, they were very informative on everything about the home. The home was set up with everything you need. Spotless, clean, beds were comfortable. Plenty of things to do, easy access to the beach and so peaceful and laid back. We will definitely visit again! The owners were AMAZING!!!! Do not miss a chance to visit this place, it is everything you imagined and more! The views were amazing and it literally is a VERY short walk to the beach and you can have views from all sides! Purple Pelican Rocks and would recommend to those who are looking for a perfect getaway!

The house was a great price, with 3 bedrooms, a very short walk to the beach, and a good location. Beach toys, games, super comfortable beds and couches.

Everything you need!

My friends and I were especially impressed by this property. Literally everything you might need for a beach trip was provided, from a beach canopy to beach chairs and towels, a grill, toiletries and a hair dryer... And the dishes and cookware in the kitchen were of very good quality and plentiful! It is not one of those places where they only give you their leftover junk to use. The house was decorated so cute and you are literally steps from the bridge to the beach. Don't forget your mosquito spray because they are plentiful, although we never had an issue on the terrace, only on the ground floor. This would be a great place for two families with children or just a group of adults like we were. We plan to return!

Essentially on the beach, great place

The house is a 15sec walk to the bridge to the beach. The house is bright, clean, and nicely laid out. Great find, highly recommend this location.
