Brand new refresh! Comfy & fabulous views! Near Asheville and Weaverville.

Bask in the afternoon sun, while relaxing in your rocking chair, sipping your favorite beverage and looking at the mountains in front of you. There are so many things to do within a 20 minute or less drive, from this private home. Visit historic areas of Asheville and enjoy the Biltmore Estate, River Arts District or award winning Breweries, float down the French Broad river, hike or bike numerous easy to access trails.

This neat and clean, one-level floor plan offers a large Master bedroom with Sleep Number Queen bed and freshly updated Master bath with new tile shower, rain shower head and roomy soaking tub. The second bedroom boasts a new Serta Sleep Queen mattress and separate full bath. Both bedrooms have quality 100% cotton linens, cozy duvet comforters, a place to sit, closet and dresser space with mountain views.

Enjoy your mug of steamy coffee or tea (already stocked for you!), while gazing at the mountains from any room. Relax on the comfy L-shaped sofa, in the dining area and/or front porch. The kitchen and laundry areas are open and well appointed with pots/pans/detergents etc., for you to make yourself at home. (A 3rd bedroom is locked for the owner when the home is NOT occupied.)

Wireless internet/streaming is available from a large 50 inch TV. (There is no cable service.) A romantic gas fireplace with on/off remote is available during winter months (exchange tank at your expense). The home has comfortable heating and air throughout, with ceiling fans in all rooms.

AVL regional airport is @ 45 minutes. I40 and I26 are @ 10 - 20 minutes.

Beautiful view. Saw a family a deer behind the house. Lots of birds too. Close to a lot of great places. House was perfect for our needs. Wifi worked well which my hisband needed for work. Hated to leave. Driveway is steep and needed a running start for my husbands classic to make it up the hill.

Memorial Day 2021

Property was as advertised, a wonderful location in the mountainside with all the amenities we needed. Great views of the surrounding countryside and close enough to downtown Asheville for easy daytrips. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful Views

I’m already missing drinking my morning coffee on the porch taking in the beautiful view. We even saw a couple of guinea hens. Property was clean and cozy. Location was very quiet. Had all the amenities needed and more. Convenient location. We enjoyed our stay and hope one day to return.

Terrific property to get away

I stayed in Marcy’s house for about 2 weeks during a cross-country relocation. It was everything I needed: fast internet and total quiet. Views from the front porch were a great way to end the day and the location is 20 mins from anything you could need like grocery, Walmart, downtown Asheville, etc. Highly recommend.

Country quiet

We wanted to be in the country for the quiet. This was just right. Glad we had GPS... needed it to travel country roads into Asheville and home -especially at night. I locked us out first night and called Host. She was out of town AND had a hidden key. Perfect and fast solution!!! Thanks.

Excellent-quiet and scenic

This was a wonderful place to stay, very quiet and nice views of the surrounding hills. The owner (Marcy) was very nice and had everything that we needed on the property. I would definitely rent from her again and I will tell all of my friends where they can stay if they are heading to Asheville.

Lovely home away from home!

Great getaway close to Asheville. We enjoyed staying in Marcy's lovely home while we away for a quick weekend. The house is close to Asheville but far enough out that you're in the country with nice views of the mountains. The kitchen is very well equipped -- we typically travel with a separate suitcase with all our kitchen needs and didn't really need anything. The beds are very comfortable -- as are all the seating areas. We're looking forward to our return trip when the Garlic Festival is rescheduled!

Nice and Quiet

If you are looking for peace and quiet, away from hussle/bussle this is the place. Marcy has everything you need. About 10 min drive into busy parts of Asheville. Furniture, beds are all comfortable and all the amenities are there for you. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for couple reasons. The 1/4 or so mile to the driveway is gravel with some ruts/rough spots. The driveway itself is short and very steep. I have an AWD and my tires have alot of tread and I spun going up it but tires did grab to get SUV up it. Bald tires may struggle. The garden tub, while it looks so inviting specially after a long day of hiking, is too deep to adequately fill up with enough water before hot water runs out. I didn't get enough in there to even cover my legs entirely. I really enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the covered front porch looking at scenery and enjoying the quiet. After 3 nights in Nashville prior to arriving here it is exactly what I needed!! :)

Beautiful mountain retreat

Marcy’s home was a great place to relax after our days hiking and exploring. The porch has a lovely view and it was so relaxing listening to the birdsong. The house is clean, comfortable, well-equipped and well-supplied. We appreciated all the Mrs. Meyers products. The soaking tub and Epsom salts were very welcome too! The kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils and necessities. Beds were comfortable Sleep Number beds. 😊 It’s a bit of a drive to Weaverville and Asheville (about 20 minutes), much of which is along twisty mountain roads. But you also get to see deer, rabbits, groundhogs, wild Turkey and hawks in your mountain neighborhood. Overall, loved our stay and Marcy was super-responsive.
