Cozy 2BR Cabin on 450 acre Fisher Lake: Bear Bottom Hideaway!

Located on sparsely populated 450-acre Fisher Lake in Mercer, Wisconsin, Bear Bottom Hideaway (search bearbottomhideaway to find our website) is situated on five private wooded acres. The cabin was built in 1988 and recently has been updated with new furnishings, flooring and other upgrades. It sleeps six, with a queen bed and in each bedroom along with one set of bunk beds in one of the bedrooms. Your dog is welcome at Bear Bottom Hideaway(For an extra fee).

Fisher Lake is excellent for fishing, boating, waterskiing, tubing, canoeing/kayaking and all sorts of water adventures. At Bear Bottom Hideaway, you'll enjoy 200 feet of sandy bottom lake frontage. The pier is available for docking your boat, with a depth at the end of about six feet which allows for both fishing and swimming. A swim raft, row boat, and paddle boat are waiting for you to enjoy and explore. The cottage faces east, so early risers will enjoy spectacular sunrises.

Vacation 2023

The cabin was excellent. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the shower/bathroom was nice. The deck and fire pit were used often ( when it wasn’t raining). The dock worked really well with our boat. The fishing wasn’t the best the week we were there ( up and down temps and some rain almost every day) but we still raised a couple muskys and caught some small northerns and bass. Overall I’d have to say this was one of our favorite cabins that we’ve rented. The wildlife around the cabin was amazing too. Dean P.

Nice cabin on a nice lake

Very nice cabin, updated and clean. We found that everything we need was there. The lake and pier were very nice and relaxing. The fishing was good.

Relaxing

This was just what we wanted -- quiet and remote. We loved the lake view and the sound of the loons. Joe was so helpful and patient when we got lost! An enjoyable experience.

Great week

We stay in the Northwoods every year, trying different hiking and biking trails as well as visiting old favorites. This is one of the few places, that if we were to stay in this area again, we would look for this specific property.. The host/owner was really easy to work with.

North Woods get away.

This property was just what we needed. A very quiet place on a quiet lake. The House was well furnished and met our requirements. It is about a 10 to 15 minute drive to town. Unfortunately, the resort at the end of the road was closed the week we visited so not much between the house and town. I was hoping to rent a boat and have a meal or two there. Just bad timing on my part.

Get away in northern Wisconsin

A cabin basically set in a fishing loacatiin. After you arrive you read the manager instructions (you do not see these before) and you are told no cooking fish in the cabin. Told you are porivided a "proppsine fryer" to be used outside. There was none. There was an extremely dirty electric skillet found in the garage, but not wwhere they said it would be. Stovetop was bkack around all burners. And the water was disgusting, horrible odor. We were looking foward to use of a paddle boat but upon inpection when we arrived we found one whole paddle was broken making it completly unusable. Several dishes/glasswear were chipped. Upon using the broken toaster (4 burner, only two work) we blew a fuse but there were not notations as to where the breaker box was, thankfully we located it in the garage. Always wondered where other cameras may have been placed, gave us an uneasy feeling. This was our first expetience with a vrob and likely will ve the last.

Quiet lake

Loved the peace and quiet and there was a lot of nature to be seen. There wasn’t much traffic on the lake during the week but did pick up a little on the weekend .I’m not sure if that’s normal for this lake but again we liked the fact that it was not busy. Host was quick with responses. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your place!
