This Door County gem has a great location with all the amenities. Bring the entire family; this house was recently updated; as you can see from the pictures, it has a large great room, beautiful fireplace inside and out, large commercial kitchen, five-bedroom, three-bath water view home. The house is located at the Lodge of Leathem Smith property. Providing you access to the fantastic restaurant, bar, outdoor heated pool, just a few steps from your front door, plus you have access to the marina, so bring your boat and park it at the marina.

Besides the amazing location, the walking distance to downtown Sturgeon Bay is only a brisk 10-minute walk. Plus, just a short drive away from the beautiful beach at Sunset park or all the other amazing State or County parks, lighthouses, everything is very close. If you love to fish, Door County has some of the best fishing in the country.

We have onsite maintenance 24 hours a day.

There is also a seasonal TIKI bar on the property of The Lodge at Leathem Smith only a short walking distance away, with lawn games and an amazing view of the water!

The pictures in this listing look much nicer than the actual house. They are much brighter and cleaner than the house is. The carpeting is stained in several places and so dirty that the kids’ feet were filthy by the end of each day (they had shoes on while outside). We discovered that the pool was closed a few days before the start of our trip by accident when we went to the lodge web site. We should have received an email from them when they knew that the pool would be closed but being in the house and not the lodge, I think they forgot about the people renting the house. They did offer everyone a pass to the local YMCA but you had to drive to get there and that didn’t work for us. They were very responsive when people kept parking in our parking spots, they got the cars moved quickly. Overall, we were disappointed in the house and won’t stay there again.

Great place to have a family gathering! Lots of room inside and out. We loved watching the sunsets and walks an bike rides on Memorial Dr. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Perfect property for us! Bonus was the Farmer’s Market in Sturgeon Bay! Walked to it on Saturday morning (maybe a mile?) and it was a beautiful walk! Hosts were great!

Overall great

The property manager who ran the hotel near this house was BEYOND amazing We had an issue at the house and he went above to make sure things were properly taken care of (the issue was NOT in their control and could not have prepared or prevented it but how they handled it was BEYOND amazing). Would 100% recommend this for anyone wanting to do a fishing charter (marina is right across the street) with a larger group. HUGE yard for games or hanging out. We will book again

Large Sturgeon Bay home

The property has 5 bedrooms and 3 baths...nice kitchen/appliances. There are 2 separate large living room areas. Everything was as described in VRBO. Very safe area, plenty of parking, nice fire pit and grill to use! Yes, it is "dated" but would def stay here again. Can use the pool next door, and the included breakfast was good! Manager was prompt to respond to any questions! And the Tiki bar.....a perfect stop!

Large house for a big group

Was disappointed to find the pool was not open as that is what drew my group to this property. Milan was fantastic and responsive to our requests - blender for smoothies, clean towels, more toilet paper (always needed with a large group). Had a blocked sink drain in one of the bathrooms that was quickly addressed.

Felt at home

The house was perfect. So much space, lots of bedrooms and even better - plenty of bathrooms!! The value of this went up even more when we realized we had the lodge for questions, etc. we would love to stay again!

We would have loved to have stayed longer!

The house was the perfect jump-off point for our week-long adventures in Door County. The house is spacious, the staff very accommodating, everything is new and clean. In addition to the house, the grill and firepit were really nice extras. Access to the pool at The Lodge was nice; it's a pretty simple pool, but it was nice to take a dip when it was hot. It's worth noting that you can contact the staff at The Lodge for any questions before your stay. I didn't have any check-in information up until the day before we were to check in, but once I reached out to The Lodge, I learned the two properties were connected. The kids were wondering why we were leaving so quickly when it came time to depart!

Great location

Great location for fishing. Plumbing and electrical problems in the house. TV on main floor is stuck on a lousy internet only mode. House wasn’t cleaned well. Hairs in bed and all over bathroom. Did they clean? Kitchen utensils and BBQ utensils meek if nonexistent. House smells like a campfire. Front desk staff always crabby.

Lodge House

Property was renovated, but several shortcuts appear to be made. The bathroom paint drips when showering. The kitchen did not have enough cooking ware. We blew a fuse when we plugged two things in. There is a nice grill and fire pit. The second level was a bit warm. Could use a fan or better air movement. Most of the staff was friendly.
