Treetops Cottage is located in the private community of Riverbend in beautiful Lake Lure NC. Set in the foot hills of the blue ridge mountains, the cottage is nestled on a three acre lot of hardwood forest with most trees surpassing 60 feet tall. You will see plenty of maples, oaks, poplars, sour wood, cedars, pines and Mountain Laurel (a wild bush that burst into flowers during spring time). The wrap around deck has gates at all exits which is a great safety feature for small children and inquisitive pets.

Located in Riverbend, a gated community, you will have access to a private beach where you can enjoy swimming, canoeing or a have a picnic next to the beach. There also picnic areas next to the Broad River, waterfall, swimming hole and nature trails.

The casual atmosphere is ideal for family vacations or a romantic retreat. Sit on the covered porch and enjoy the beautiful sunsets or in front of the stone fireplace by a cozy wood burning fire. The great room with its high ceiling and many windows allows you to enjoy the outdoor views. The wrap around deck provides seating areas on all sides of the house where you can see a herd of deer that cross the property almost every morning and evening.

We just finished a 5-night stay here with my wife and our dog, and it was honestly one of the best VRBO experiences we’ve had. The place was spotless when we arrived, clearly well cared for, and exactly as described. The home was comfortable, thoughtfully laid out, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It felt welcoming right away, not sterile or bare like some rentals can feel. You can tell the hosts put real effort into making guests feel at home.Traveling with a dog can sometimes be stressful, but this place was truly pet-friendly and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable for us. That alone made a huge difference.Communication with the host was smooth, clear, and timely, which we really appreciated. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. If you’re considering booking this place, don’t hesitate. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and stress-free getaway.

I can't say enough about the accommodations that we rented for the week of Christmas. The neighborhood was quiet and Serene and the family who rents it was accessible to answer questions. Peaceful retreat

The property was serene and quiet. A great place to get away. The cottage was clean and well kept. Daniel, our host, was very attentive and there if we needed anything at all. The family had a great time! The cottage will be at the top of the list for our next visit.

Perfection You won’t be Disappointed!

We spent three nights at Treetops right after Christmas and would highly recommend this vacation rental in the Lake Lure area. We needed an opportunity to relax and unwind after the hustle and bustle of the holidays, and Treetops definitely fit the bill! Daniel was only a text message away to assist us when we needed him. The kitchen was well stocked and supplied with lots of pots, pans, and cooking tools! The beds were super comfy, and the bathrooms had wonderful towels! The gated wrap around deck was certainly a plus for our two dogs! Our favorite part was the stone fireplace in the living area where we enjoyed having a fire each day/night! Lots of information regarding the cottage as well as the surrounding area was provided! Plenty of games available for a rainy day! And even a bottle of wine! Thank you, Daniel, for a wonderful stay!

Relaxing, lake vacation

This is a wonderful vacation rental. The home is very well stocked, very clean and quite cozy. The wrap around porch is so relaxing, and it was nice to know our dogs were safe and secure hanging on the porch. The host was very responsive and provided very clear, detailed instructions. Our family of 4 had a great time!

Best vacation home ever visited

For our family reunion, we rented this home and another larger and more expensive one just around the corner and within walking distance. No comparison this cottage was far superior in all ways; cleaner, better layout, nicer accommodations, 100% on contact with host. Until we saw both homes, we assumed most of our times would be spent in the larger of the two. We ended up at this cottage exclusively except for sleeping. Everyone wants to return again!

Would stay again!!

First, the property owner was very responsive throughout the process!! Thank you so much :) Beds and living room were comfortable, plenty of room to spread out or take a few minutes to yourself - depending on who you are staying with....haha! LOVED the wrap around, fully enclosed deck. Part of the deck is covered with a tin roof and was lovely to sit under during the rain. We didn't get to use the fire pit area because we were in height of summer but it looks very inviting. Roughly 15-20 mins from Lake Lure/grocery store/Chimney Rock which we didn't mind at all. We also used the private beach inside River Bend. It was clean and easy to access - BTW, you get to the beach from entrace where you dispose trash. Threre are plenty of linens, blankets, pillows, etc. Definitely recommend!

Home away from home

We had a great stay at Treetops cottage. We found all the necessities for a family, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, games and great outdoor spaces. The condo's lake and river access are a great daily activity, bring your paddleboard or canoe! Enjoy your stay in the NC mountains at this great family cabin.

Lovely family getaway

The house was spotless and comfortable for our family of 6. We especially loved how dog-friendly it was for our two labs. We cooked daily and used the grill, and we appreciated the extras in the kitchen that we didn’t have to buy, like olive oil and salt and pepper. The kitchen is small but I loved that it was central to the house. The property is in a gated neighborhood that is quiet and peaceful, and the wraparound porch allows you to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature (including several deer every day). The hosts were very communicative and quick to respond to questions. No complaints! Side note (not a complaint against the host, just a heads up for future renters)- the shampoo and conditioner that are provided are hotel-size, so if you’ll be staying for several days or have a family, bring some of your own. Also, there is only one dishwasher pod provided, so bring some of those too! These may have been specified in the listing, but I missed it. We would definitely come back to Treetops Cottage!

Paradise Retreat

This home Provides Peace and Serenity. The home was clean and cozy. All the essentials were provided plus the complimentary coffee and teas were a splendid surprise. We saw many deer around the home. We enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and way nicer than any expensive hotel or luxury resort. The neighborhood was quiet and very safe, there’s so many things to do close by and the best part is there’s no commercialization big box stores or fast food only small businesses the backbone of America. An AMAZING Little Cabin:)

We absolutely loved this property. It is minutes away from everything Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and the area have to offer and was an amazing place to work remote! Peaceful, Clean and just had everything you could need. We loved this property and as we build our own in the same amazing community of Riverbend, we hope to be able to stay again soon!!! Very grateful for the amazing host who was also very communicative and friendly!! and for someone with no pets...you could never tell there were pets there! Super Super clean! 5 stars

I enjoyed my stay. The fact that you responded so quickly to any correspondence was so appreciated. Some utensils can be updated to new, filter replacement on refrigerator, and offer of fire starter with the fire wood would be helpful. Toilet paper was the worst. Very thin and scratchy. 😉 Great place to relax during the Winter months!! Thank you!!

Very nice property

I really appreciate when a property delivers on what is stated in the listing. It was clean, easy to get to and what our family needed. We spent time going between Lake Lure, Asheville and Hendersonville and the roads offered several ways to get there. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal or bring back take out. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries as if you were at a hotel. We didn’t use the fire pits but did enjoy cornhole and the grill. YouTube tv worked well. The only thing I would change is to have a king in the master.

We are a family of four that has vacationed in Lake Lure for years and finally decided to buy a home of our own in one of our favorite towns. We came across this little gem of a home and the rest is history.

Lake Lure is a great family oriented and fun town that blossoms during the spring and summer. There are many family fun activities to do on and around the lake including boating, skiing, fishing, hiking, Chimney Rock and so much more. For the couples retreat there are several wineries and creameries not too far from town that can be enjoyed as well. The fall months are a kaleidoscope of autumn colors that create a picturesque view for everyone to enjoy.

This property is perfectly located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is close to all of what Lake Lure has to offer, and is a great home for a family vacation or romantic getaway.
