FERNWOOD BY THE SEA is only a few minute walk to North Chesterman Beach. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, private deck with hot tub, outdoor shower, surf racks and all the amenities you'd wish for in your vacation home!
Located in a prime location, this home is a quick stroll to the famous Chesterman Beach and walking distance to Tacofino, Wildside Grill, coffee shops & more!
Fernwood by the Sea sleeps 6 guests comfortably. The master bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite bathroom. The other 2 bedrooms have queen size beds with a shared bathroom complete with a tub and shower. There is a large living room area, dining table, fully equipped kitchen and BBQ for all your cooking needs. Out back you can relax in the private hot tub surrounded by many alder and old growth trees or enjoy the outdoor shower after a day of surfing!

For those who wish to dive into Tofino's world-renown surfing, enjoy the luxury of the outdoor heated shower, hot tub and surfboard racks.
Fernwood by the Sea is the perfect Tofino home base!

Host Rules

Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.

Age min: must be 23 years or older to book.

Guest Limit: As per Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of 6 guests (including babies and children) are allowed. If a reservation exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to ask the guests to leave.

During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.

3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays

We offer discounted rates on month long stay ONLY during our low season (Dec-Feb)

Pet friendly after owner approval, 2 dog max. Sorry no cats allowed!

Please note: A long-term tenant lives on-site in a separate caretaker suite as per Tofino Bylaws

Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals!

Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy. If you provide us with the 30 days required notice you will receive a full refund. If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.

Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.
Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behaviour. It is strictly intended for unintentional mishaps that may happen while you're staying in the home.

Property was quiet and great layout for family time . Hot tub was really clean. Kitchen was well stocked for meal prep. Easy walk to the beach - only a couple of minutes. Set in the trees and Bamboo filtered light everywhere. Very Tofino Vibe !

Tofino at its best

This was our second stay at this house and it was absolutely perfect. The location is fantastic - It’s a quick 5 minute walk to Chesterman Beach and the house is set up great for families. It even has boot dryers for those wet west coast days. The hot tub is a total bonus after a long day of hiking or to just relax in the rain.

2nd stay at Fernwood

This property is amazing and Tofino Vr is great to deal with, close enough to walk or bike to town and only a short walk to the beach. The property is clean and perfect for family with kids or just for two. The hot tub is a bonus! 10/10 Thanks again and we look forward to our next trip!

Tofino vacay

We rented Fernwood by the Sea as a family getaway. It was well furnished and any issues we had were immediately addressed. Loved the location. Walked to the Wikininnish Inn for lattes, walked to the beach with the kids, walked to Tofino chocolate for ice cream. Thanks for having us. Would definitely rent this place again.

Fabulous, beach so close!

A beautifully appointed home. Kitchen had everything we needed plus more. Bedding & bathrooms very adequate for the 6 of us. Hot tub was perfect. I was very impressed with the Communication with Daniel. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful spot with everything we needed

Fernwood was perfect for our stay, housing 3 couples very confortably. The fully equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking for our large group, the hot tube was great and the living room was cozy. You can walk to the beach in 5 minutes through a quiet neighborhood and drive into Tofino in less than 10 minutes. I would absolutely stay here again.

Weekend getaway

We had a wonderful stay. The property is spacious, private, quiet, clean, and has all the comforts of home. Best of all, it is a quick walk to Chesterman Beach. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great property

This is a great property. The only recommendation I would have is to have a railing for the outside steps. They are slippery when wet and my husband who is 77;fell. Also a grab bat in shower would be helpful. Otherwise this is excellent… It is hard to find accessible property here and my husband has Parkinson’s yet we still like to travel. I like how private the bedroom areas feel

The comforts of Tofino

Fernwood by the Sea was everything plus more. It was convenient with a short accessible stroll to the beach, as well as to the Village. Very nice location, and house is beautiful, very spacious, and in a nice quiet neighborhood. A good Tofino find. Thank you.

Awesome house

This property was perfect for our family. It’s a short 5 min walk to Chestermna beach and close to all the amnesties that Tofino has to offer. The property managers were very easy to communicate and checked in lots. We have already rebooked for next year.

Wonderful Tofino Stay!

We had a 2 night stay with 2 adults and 3 teens. The home was comfortably furnished and had all of the amenities we needed and more! We lived the 3 bedrooms and the beds and linens were very comfy! Having 2 bathrooms is a must with teens and they were very nice. The hot tub was an added bonus, especially after a day of surfing. The proximity to Chesterman Beach and a few restaurants and stores was also a big bonus! Would love to stay here again!

Nice property, honestly described, plenty of space for our family. Everything in the property was in good working order, all the appliances are modern and the hot tub was wonderful after venturing on the island. Would definitely stay again.
