Dear Mr. Steven, We understand your frustration regarding the sewer backup incident that occurred during your stay. While we acknowledge that this was an unpleasant experience, we believe it is important to clarify the facts and address the inaccuracies in your review. The sewer backup was caused by tree roots that had grown into the pipes outside the villa. This was an issue beyond our control and the responsibility of the condo association. Despite this, we took immediate action by contacting a professional plumbing service to address the problem. The issue was resolved promptly, and we paid the associated costs. We want to clarify that the sewage did not back up into the villa itself. The only inconvenience was the temporary inability to use the bathtub drains and toilets for a short period. We offered alternative facilities at our health club to ensure your comfort during this time. We also want to emphasize that we never blamed you for the issue or suggested that you should not use toilet paper. Such a suggestion would be entirely inappropriate and inaccurate. We understand that the sewer backup was a significant inconvenience, and we apologize for any discomfort it caused. While we understand your desire for a refund, we believe that our prompt response and the steps taken to resolve the issue demonstrate our commitment to providing excellent service. We offered additional compensation, including a free night's stay and dinner, to make up for any inconvenience caused. We regret that your experience was negative, but we believe that our response to the situation was prompt, effective, and fair. Dear Donna, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I understand that you had some concerns during your stay at our condo, and I would like to address them. Regarding the pressure washing and painting work, I would like to clarify that this was a necessary maintenance project mandated by the Association Board for the entire condo complex and was beyond our control. We got notified of their schedule right before your check-in. We went out of our way to make up for about two days' inconvenience you had. We are sorry that we were not successful in making you happy. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. As you know Donna, as soon as the issue of the door battery and GFCI were brought to our attention our team made every effort to resolve these issues promptly and effectively. Regarding the cleanliness of the unit, I would like to assure you that our team takes great care to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, however, on this occasion it was not perfectly reflected when you had checked in, and I apologize for that. As the property manager and owner of the condo, I called you personally before your arrival and during your stay to welcome you and left you my phone number to let you know that "I am a phone call away if I can be of any help" but you did not respond.
