Some hiccups

It’s a beautiful pool house but only rent if you can rent both the main house as well. There was a guys golf trip booked into the main house while my family of 3 college aged daughters stayed in the pool house. Very awkward arrangement. The location is fine….. quiet and near the nature trail. Enjoyed all the restaurants and activities on property.

A few days in a tropical oasis

Our vacation coincided with a frigid weather snap at home and we felt so lucky. We enjoyed our time at the property. The host personally took us on a tour, answered all questions in a timely fashion and even facilitated a wonderful day at the gorgeous beach club. The community is safe and has a gated entrance. Golf carts are available for your use. The pool and hot tub at the property are beautiful and always available for your use.

Amazing property and host

The hosts are amazingly accommodating. For a family of 5 who wishes to enjoy everything that Dorado Beach has to offer, in addition to a pool and hottub steps outside your home, this is the place to consider.

Nice Property

The host Yajia was very nice and communicative. The Dorado Beach resort property is a beautiful resort with numerous restaurants, activities and beaches/pools to enjoy. Yajia’s guest house is well appointed with all the amenities. A great spot to enjoy stay and still enjoy the resort.

A Hidden Gem

This property is beautiful and the host is kind and generous. The home you are renting is the host’s guest house and it is clear that they take great pride in their home and in accommodating their guests. The hosts provide you with 3 golf carts for you to travel the community which you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to, On the property there are beaches, pools, there is a water park, restaurants, workout facilities, tennis, golf, and a spa that looks like it came out of a fairytale. If you do want to leave the community, I would suggest renting a car so that you can take advantage of activities that are about 45 min - 1 hour away from the property. There is Jet Skiing (Ocean Pro Adventures is THE BEST HANDS DOWN), ATV driving, the bioluminescent night tour and Old San Juan. About 10 minutes away from the property, you will find Dorado Beach, and if you’re up to dining with locals, there you will find some of the best mofongo and red snapper the island has to offer. This home is a hidden gem, and we would happily return, if only to share a glass of wine with our hosts!

We had a fantastic time. The property is great and very clean. Yajia and her husband are super nice folks who were very nice and accomodating. I would highly recommend using the Ritz ammenities!!! Would definitely come back!!!!!

Amazing!

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. We booked it last minute, and Yajia was incredibly proactive with the communication from the start. The home is clean, spacious and had great energy. Yajia is on top of it all and genuinely wants you to enjoy your stay. She took us for a tour of the entire Ritz Carlton (which is huge) the moment we got there. And after we got lost a few times she was happy to do it a second time. Don’t think twice, book your stay, you will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to go back.

Almost 5 Stars

This is a nicely designed modern two story guest house at the far back of a main house backyard with an expansive pool in between. Located at the prime community of Dorado Beach East, this dwelling belongs in a 5 star category. The A/Cs are silent and potent and the beds supremely comfortable perfect for a great night sleep. The common areas are roomy and the kitchen well equipped with a 48” refrigerator and even a wine fridge. The pool is expansive, supreme and a truly unique feature. The owner was easy to get a hold off, responsive, and kindly extended the courtesy of an early checkin and a welcome cava. However, we could not award 5 stars because of one major caveat and several missing amenities one would expect from a Dorado property at this price point. First, access to the guest house is through a ~20 meter grassy area between the driveway and the pooldeck. The problem is not just walking over grass and have to hand carry and not roll the luggage, but that with a little rain you must walk through puddles. And at night with little illumination, we were not thrilled about getting our shoes and feet muddy on our way to Coa. Heavy rain would make access in and out simply dismal. This property and its guests deserve a proper entryway. We also disliked that defective master bedroom blinds affected privacy and that the stairway to the second floor lacked handrails. Finally, guest-centric amenities we expected and missed at this level of property include wine glasses, pool safe drink-ware/flatware, a safe working grill, and cable or satellite TV. Overall, this is a great place to stay in Dorado and with attention to the above observations would become a truly 5 star alternative within a 5 star resort community.

Great Family Vacation

We stayed here for our spring break (April 2023). Two adults and our kids (19, 17, 12). The house was great and the location is nice. It's on the quieter side of the neighborhood. It was an easy golf cart ride over to the pool, Encanto beach club and the Ritz. Our host was kind enough to book us a dinner reservation at one of the Ritz restaurants (reservations are hard to come by during spring break week). We also enjoyed sitting out by the pool and the hot tub at the house. It was very relaxing. The process to get the membership for the amenities was very easy as well. The hosts were easy to work with and communicated throughout our stay. They also provided recommendations for a driver (we didn't need it) and someone to assist with grocery shopping and cleaning the house (mid-stay cleaning).

Misleading Communication, Construction Zone, problematic Water pressure, Ants & unclean.

Unfortunately our stay did not turn out to be the Honeymoon we were looking for. To begin with, this pool is not private, it will be shared with the main house, we’re told after asking in previous messages. The most important thing for us however, besides cleanliness, was a quiet, no construction, relaxing time in paradise. Paradise is right, the surroundings are beautiful, the house looks like in the picture and is spacious and nice. That’s where it all ends. Right next door is a massive construction zone, owner was previously asked but didn’t own up to it just commenting that their main house construction has been finished which might be true yet the property right next door is a mayor new development on an olde property making the word “quiet” impossible. We didn’t notice it at first and after asking the owner they would not own up to trying to gaslight by letting us know we got a good deal and that they usually rent for higher prices. Next problem water pressure. Both Bathrooms on top floor (where all the bedrooms are) were basically not usable. Low to almost no water pressure, one sink the water came out piping hot.. Again, owner said water pressure was fixed but didn’t seem like it. Next thing cleanliness: The dishes were filthy, dead ants on plates, stains, hair & more ants in silverware drawers stains on bed. Booked 5 nights, moved out after 1! Best thing, we got a full refund! Promised Club access was a scam, we’re not let into ritz property. Stay away!

Amazing pool!

We rented this place for our in-laws and they loved it! The place was stocked with the basic essentials. The pool is huge and beautiful! The location was perfect, being right in dorado beach east. The golfcarts were older but all worked fine. Would definitely book again!

This is a guest house in back of a main house under construction

Pleasant stay, nice new guest house, clean etc. Three bedrooms are all upstairs and only one room on the main level. Enjoyed the hot tub and modern pool as well as the use of two golf carts. The membership to the Ritz facilities make this an ideal property. The only issue we had was with the living room furniture Consisted of two daybeds and an extremely worn out massage chair.

Amazing Time in Dorado

The house was very spacious with everything we needed. The amazing views of greenery was all around and the private pool was a big hit. The Dorado community's grounds are stunning and one of the best perks was using the golf carts to go to the beach, the pools, the restaurants and spa. We did pay the community fee. We just wish our trip was longer so we can use everything Dorado had to offer because it's pretty amazing. You will have a great relaxing time at this property.

This property was great for a quick trip to Dorado. Three golf carts were great for our group to be able to split up and get around. The pool was so fun!

Beautiful Spot for Family Fun

The property was lovely despite the construction going on in the main house up front. We were apprehensive when we booked, but when they did work it was quiet and no issue. There were a few hiccups during the trip, but Yaija, the owner was very responsive. There was a persistent issue with the water pressure, but it was difficult to tell if it was just the property or due to the construction. The pool was amazing and the whole family enjoyed it. If you haven't been to Dorado Beach you should know that you definitely need to join the club for your stay ($350 per person additional), which Yaija arranges for you before your arrival. The club though gives you access to all the amenities (fitness center, tennis, golf, beach club and water park) and is a must. The development is beautiful and lovely to walk or run through. Overall, it was one of our favorite family trips as there was something for everyone and we'll definitely be back.

Wonderful property

We had an incredible time. The home is located in the Dorado Beach East. We had full access to resort amenities by paying the resort guest fee and having multiple golf carts available to us really made it convenient for our family. The house and pool are visually stunning and wonderful for pictures. Highly recommend!
