Escape To A Cabin In The Woods

Escape to the peace and quiet of woods in this unique modern cabin nestled in the trees. Relax to majestic views of the forest from every room with sunlight flooding the interior and rejuvenate your health and well being. Enjoy complete privacy as the house is set back off the main road and away from neighbors. Warm and cozy in the winter with heated concrete floors that stay cool in the summer. Cook in the well equipped kitchen in the open central great room. There’s a BBQ and hot tub on the deck and a backyard fire pit. Three season game room in barn. We are dog friendly with backyard space for off leash. (DOGS ONLY)

THE SPACE

Built in a modern design with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows, passive solar design brings in natural light and the outdoors. Polished concrete floors stay cool in the summer and cozy warm in the winter with radiant heated floors. Gas fireplace makes for romantic and cozy ambiance. Soak away your worries in the therapeutic hot tub, running year round and professionally cleaned weekly. Air conditioning.

GAME ROOM
The 3 season game room in the barn has a pool table, ping pong, dartboard, corn hole and crochet. Open up the garage doors and window and let sunlight and fresh air in and enjoy the indoor/outdoor atmosphere. NOT HEATED but available year round.

SECURITY CAMERAS
There are two security cameras facing the driveway/entry and barn exterior. No cameras in house or backyard, deck or hot tub area. Cameras are not monitored during guests stay, they are for security when properly is not in use.

LAWNCARE
Not specifically scheduled times but weekdays between 10am to 6pm

MOSQUITO TREATMENT
Every 3 weeks on weekdays between 10am and 3pm. 10 minutes. They will knock on door and ask to close windows and stay in house during treatment

HOT TUB
Cleaner will periodically check on hot tub on weekdays.

Located on 11 private acres of oak, white pine, black cherry and dogwood trees. The property adjoins the 55,000 acre Allegan State Game Area of state forest, and wildlife refuge protected lands. Wildlife viewing from inside the house and on the property and surrounding areas includes deer, turkey, geese, bald eagles, hawks, owls, squirrels and more. 20 minute drive to Lake Michigan beaches in Douglas/Saugatuck. South Haven and Holland 30m. 4 miles from Fenn Valley wineries and cideries.

Perfect home for a weekend (or longer) away

This is a beautiful, comfortable, well designed and maintained home and property which was perfect for a long weekend away from our city home. Its location strikes a great balance between being able to disconnect and also being a short and easy drive from great beaches, dining, shopping and all else you can explore in the area. Beautiful views from both inside and outside the property, great outdoor space to gather as well. Highly recommended!

Awesome!

The cabin is settled on a nice property and the cabin is beautiful. The windows are huge and brighten up the space and allow you a view of the outside area. It's quiet and is a nice escape from the city. The back deck is huge and has a grill and hot tub. It's a great place to hang out and relax. The garage area is cool and has all kinds of games including darts, pool, and table tennis. Our dog had a great time walking around the property and laying out on the deck. The cabin is a short 15-20 minute drive to Holland, Michigan which is a really cool small town. This place is awesome! My wife and I highly recommend staying here. Brian is a great host. He answered questions quickly and gave great recommendations of places to check out. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet before the chaos

My husband and I needed a quiet weekend getaway before the chaos of the holidays are upon us. We found this beautiful cabin to be the perfect choice. It is extremely well appointed with everything one could need for the perfect stay. The quality of the furnishings and fixtures was not lost on us. Our dogs enjoyed all the smells in the surrounding woods as we sat by the fire. Thank you for such a seamless, relaxing stay.

Wasn’t long enough

If you are looking for a secluded forest retreat, look no further. As soon as you turn onto the driveway you are in for a whimsical treat. This property has something for everyone. Do you like enjoying a hot tub soak in the middle of the forest? You should check out the 6 person hot tub. How about a bonfire with friends and family? Get on down to the fire pit that accommodates 10 all day and make those smores. What about ping pong, pool, and darts? Yeah, they got that to in your own pole barn so you can compete without bothering others. Do naps in nature interest you? Then you should use the hammock on the deck. Do you like to entertain loved ones and grill for them? Then the four burner grill with searing station will allow you to beat Bobby Flay. I know you like to kayak on the Kalamazoo River? Great, you will have your choice of launches within minutes of this gem.You probably enjoy access to multiple wineries and great food. Me too! You have an itch to go to the big lake? Sure you can do that too, don’t stop there check out Saugatuck, South Haven, Holland and more. From Nature trails to hiking, and biking, there is so much to do. If the weather doesn’t cooperate then you got comfortable furniture to watch your favorite show or movie on a new flat screen T.V. With amazing sonos sound bar. The interior of this home is just as beautiful as the nature it is in. The hosts were accommodating and respectful, this trip wasn’t long enough and the next one can’t come sooner.

Fennville retreat in the woods

Perfect getaway. Really enjoyed the design. Basically two master suites with a really nice kitchen /living area in the middle. We will book again.

Perfect Getaway

If you’re looking for a cozy place to get away, this place was perfect. Brian was an amazing host. We didn’t want to leave in the snow, so he allowed us to buy more wine from his cellar. He was very quick to respond if we had any questions and it was peaceful and quiet. I’m definitely looking forward to booking his modern cabin again.

Great place!

This was a great house for our family! Nicely appointed and well stocked with all that we needed and more. Beautiful setting and very private and quiet location. The game room was great for our boys. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

Great Stay

The property was as advertised and was exactly what we expected. We typically vacation in Florida, but the beaches of Michigan were a good change of pace and this property was perfect for our family of 4. The bonus game room was a gamechanger that offered us family fun at night with ping pong, pool, darts, etc. We definitely enjoyed our vacation and stay!!

The Perfect Spot

Perfect Getaway

So much privacy! We loved everything about our short stay at this property. Loved the open concept, the decor, the patio was perfect for getting some sun, and the hot tub was a perfect way to end our nights! Our dog loved exploring the yard and woods in the back. Thanks for a much needed getaway!

The property was lovely. My dog was enthralled with the view and waited in anticipation of seeing a squirrel. He was excited to see a deer munching on plants one evening (as were we). Our last night we had difficulties with the air and were alarmed when the thermostat read high carbon dioxide warnings. After several attempts to contact the host, we called for help. When the host finally called back , he was unsupportive. He raised his voice at me and was upset that we called for help. The help arrived so I had to end the call. The host never reached back out to see if we were ok or what we found out. This was very disappointing. For the price we paid and other reviews, we were really disheartened and disappointed.

It was a perfect getaway!

We had a wonderful time playing games and relaxing in the hot tub and by the fire with friends on Friday. Saturday we had music, good food, quiet romantic atmosphere. It’s exactly what we were looking for. This was a beautiful, clean place with a touch of the comforts we have become accustomed to. WiFi, great sound bar for music, coffee grinder/pot, everything we needed for a good steak in the grill. We would definitely stay again 🥰

Forest Retreat

Certainly the cleanest, most modern, and most thoughtfully set up vacation rental we have visited. This is a comfortable and sleekly designed home in a sylvan setting. Brian is helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the proximity to the lake and fun communities like Saugatuck and Holland. Kids loved the neighborhood’s many bird & amphibian species and our dog felt right at home on the spacious deck. Well-organized and outfitted kitchen, nice hot tub, fun game area. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Wonderful Secluded Getaway

We had such a beautiful time! We brought our miniature dachshund and she had a great time finding tennis balls scattered around outside! It was like an Easter egg hunt for her! :) The deck was where we spent most of our time, listening to music, enjoying the hot tub and relaxing. Thank you for being such a great host! Oh! And thanks for the s’mores! We definitely enjoyed that treat over the fire pit!!

I chose this building site for many reasons, primarily the unique location of being surrounded by a beautiful forest. The peaceful and private Michigan woods is what truly sets my mind at ease when I'm at home here.
