Sit back & relax at our newly renovated 1930's country Cottage in a relaxing, country location located in the heart of the city. Cottage has 2 BR, 1 BA. Unwind from a busy day on outdoor covered deck w/ lights. Sit outside & enjoy nature or watch the kids play in the big backyard. Pull into the carport, there's also plenty of room to park your boat here. Energy Park Boat launch is 3 minutes away. We're 5 minutes to Oaklawn Racetrack & Casino, 8 minutes to historic downtown. 2 minutes to bi-pass.

The cottage was absolutely perfect. It was charming, clean and comfortable. They have done an excellent job of updating the home, while keeping the history of the house intact. Comfy furniture blends with antique furniture. And we felt very safe staying here. Not to mention just minutes from good food and shopping!

Cute Carlene’s Cottage

The cottage was incredibly charming, clean and cutely decorated with beautiful antiques. It was the perfect place for my husband and I to get away for our anniversary. I would recommend this spot to anyone!

Very cozy and well kept older (1930s) property that had a nice mix of modern and antique. Although just off of a main highway, you could barely hear passing traffic unless it was a large vehicle. Close to downtown and major thoroughfares

Coziest Cottage!

Karen’s property was so cozy and comfortable! All of the decor is so homey and everything was so clean and thoughtfully provided! The kitchen has everything you could need and more - she’s even stocked it with a few snacks, coffee, syrups, etc. We enjoyed our long weekend here and will book again :)

Very Comfortable

Nicely furnished with plenty of amenities such as spices and cooking items within close proximity of downtown Hot springs and the Garvan Woodland Gardens. The host was always quick to respond to any of my questions or concerns.

Communication with Karen was great--she's very attentive. The house itself is a little bit on the older side, it's hard to tell from pics that the house is off a main road, so not as much a 'cabin feel' if you want a secluded/foresty place. The backyard is great for dogs.

Sweet House

Although on very busy road, road noise not obvious at night. Comfortable bed. Fully equipped kitchen and it was really cold so nice to have tea bags to use. Really nice Entergy Park close by for hiking. Only suggestion is for owner to use non scented washing soap for sheets and towels especially for folks like us who are sensitive to scents used in cleaning products. Felt very safe here.

The perfect location in Hot Springs

Staying at the cottage was absolutely what we needed. The location is everything. Its located no further than a few miles from the dowtown area. The cottage is a lovely place. Truthfuly it felt like coming to a family home, so cozy. Its also very thoughtfully prepared by the host. The details for the guest is noticeable across the home. The kitchen is well stocked to cook. Bathrooms and bedroom provided with a graceful amount of linens and cleanliness was evident. Yes, its in a main road but you really can't hear it while inside, and it didn't seem to bother us while on the covered porch. The spacious backyard brings a lovely sense of peace. Also the sound of the nearby creek adds to the outdoor experience. Overall, relaxing 😌 definetly the place to stay in the area.

Quaint Cottage

The cottage was even more cute in person than in the pictures. Everything was very comfortable. The little stream beside the house was a bonus. The cottage was located close to everywhere we wanted to go. Karen was very helpful and responded quickly to questions we had. Really have no complaints. The only thing I will comment on is the house is on a busy road. It wasn't a problem inside the house. But if you want to enjoy the outside, there is traffic noise. We do recommend staying here and we would definitely do a return stay here.

A Most Wonderful Stay

We rented the cottage for the solar eclipse, over a year ago, and it was the perfect place to watch it. When we walked in, the first thing I noticed was that the cottage was so nice! The pictures really did not capture how nice it was. Upon entering, there was a cute mud room with a washer & dryer which leads into the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything I needed to make a meal. The pans were nice and not falling apart like you see in some rentals, as were the other cooking materials and utensils. The living room was spacious and comfortable with a large TV and comfortable furniture, and it even had a storm door to let in more light and add to the country feel. And speaking of that country feel, even though the cottage is on a kind of busy road, it is well insulated and from the inside you cannot hear any noise from the road. The bedroom off the living room has a queen-sized comfortable bed, and in that room, there is enough room to comfortably fit the roll away bed. The bedroom down the hall was also nice with another comfortable queen-sized bed and it had a desk with a monitor & keyboard that you can hook your laptop up to. The bathroom was also nice and had all the extras in case you forgot to pack something. In conclusion, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again. Even though I didn’t have to contact Karen during our stay, she was very responsive throughout the whole booking process.

Kitchen was fully equipped, including spices! Very clean! We were disappointed in how close the main highway was to the house. The online pictures looked like the house was further back. Due to traffic noise we weren't able to enjoy the outside. The spring was dry so we didn't get to enjoy it either. Overall, it's a nice place. We did enjoy Hot Springs and the weather was beautiful!

Best VRBO to Date!

This is the cutest cottage! So clean and perfect yard. Host Karen is also the best communicator. Cottage met all of our needs. This is the Best VRBO we have stayed at thus far! Close to Hot Springs and so much to do.

Perfect for grandparents & grandson within 5 miles from Catherine's Landing RV Park where son camped

Everything we needed including mixer & blender, skillet, baking sheet, & plenty of kitchen & bathroom needs. Plenty of streaming channels on TV & nice patio table on outside covered patio😊

Welcome to Carlene's Cottage, a cherished family heirloom named after my mom, that's been in our family for over 45 years. Originally belonging to my mother, we have lovingly restored this 1930's cottage to its original splendor while adding modern touches.

You'll find a convenient keyless entry system for a seamless check-in experience. The cottage features an outdoor covered deck with seating & enchanting lights, providing the perfect spot to unwind. The backyard offers ample space.

We provided a workspace for those who need to catch up on emails or work remotely. You'll also find reliable Wi-Fi in the cottage. When it's time to rest, our comfy beds beckon you to a peaceful night's sleep.

The well-equipped kitchen is stocked with all the essentials you need to prepare meals. We have provided coffee, creamer & tea, along with coffee filters, garbage bags & paper towels. In the bathroom, you'll find shampoo, cream rinse, soap, toothpaste, & toilet paper.

We offer a selection of board games for both kids & adults, as well as a few books for you while you sit back & unwind. The LG Smart TV is equipped with Xumo and Pluto TV, which provide access to various channels. You can also use your own Netflix account or other paid subscriptions for more options.

We allow you to bring your dog with you. Please note that there is a non-refundable fee per dog, a second dog must be approved prior the stay. We will provide dog bowls & doggie doo bags & we kindly ask that you pick up after your dog in the yard. Bring a leash as the yard is not fenced. Additionally, we kindly request that pets refrain from furniture & beds.
