Gaston Lake House

We had a very relaxing and fun stay! The house was perfect for our family and had everything we needed. We had a great time kayaking, paddle boarding and biking. Thank you!

Perfect house for a group of 7 adults. Lots of comfy seating inside and out on the deck and dock. Well stocked with oil, spices, etc. Master bed was very comfortable. Other beds were OK. Dock area is small and not deep water. That didn't matter to us since we went in September. Wifi was very slow but we had 5 people trying to work so more our fault than the house. Overall, an excellent Lake Gaston rental.

Wonderful!! This property was fantastic! We started our days with coffee on the boat house sun deck and ended our days in the same spot. We kayaked with the supplied kayaks twice a day. We grilled and chilled. And we had a bon fire in the evenings! We were a little leery of being at the end of the cove but the views of the water were absolutely wonderful and it was so peaceful. We listened to the sounds of nature all day. The home itself was exceptional. Very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend.

Great house on the lake

Had a great two night stay. House was clean inside and plenty of space for 5 adults. Only negative is the outside of the house and outdoor furniture was all covered heavily in spider webs and ants. Otherwise highly recommend this house.

Perfect weekend getaway!

We had a wonderful time here! It was perfect for our two families and dog with ample space. The home and lake absolutely beautiful! We rented the pontoon and throughly enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, and catching tons of fish! The stars from top deck at the pier were sight I will not forget! Host was amazing and responsive! Our stay with 11/10! Will stay again!

Nice rental at the lake

Great location near the marina with all the amenities we needed for a short family vacation. Only gave it four stars because we couldn’t bring our boat due to the depth of the water but we were able to bring our wave runners.

Family Fun

Lyons Creek is a beautiful property. It was clean, neat and as described. It was perfect for my quick family getaway. The only feedback I have would be to replace the outdoor grill. It needed some attention and was not operational. Otherwise, I would definitely rent this property again.

Memorial Day at the lake

Our family of 4, as well as two other families (including kids ranging from 1 year to 6 years old), spent 3 days at the property. Despite the very rainy weekend, we had a wonderful time at Lake Gaston. The house was clean, well-stocked, and in a prime location. We even got some fishing and basketball in between storms. The property manager was quick to respond with any questions. Hopefully we can go back soon when the sun is out!

felt like goldilocks with my family

When checking in none of beds were made and house clearly had not been cleaned. Contacted property manager and he contacted cleaning crew. Check in was 4 but couldn't unpack until after 630pm. Felt like the whole process could have bene handled better. Never the way want to start a family vacation. lake gaston is beautiful place and will look for another location in the future.

Really nice stay

We had a really nice long weekend here, and I would definitely stay again. The house was clean and had a well appointed kitchen (this is a big thing for me, especially since there aren’t a lot of restaurants nearby). The rooms were spacious and the linens were nice. My only feedback on the home itself was that it was pretty dark inside; some can lights would help brighten up the place, especially in the kitchen. The outside was a little disheveled and could have used some tidying up, also, but again, it was lovely. We did use the dock for our StarCraft Starstep E I/O, but it was a tight fit given the forward prop. If you have a wake boat, I would be weary of the water depth when you go; it could cause a problem for you. If the lake is low, especially, that area may not be deep enough. We had a difficult time getting in the door at first, so better instructions would help. We also couldn’t get in touch with the owner for a bit, so we were left outside while we figured out the lock. We would definitely stay here again; I gave 4/5 stars just because of the panic attack we had getting in the house and the dock depth situation. It would be helpful if those things were laid out better in the listing. The owner was pretty responsive once we got in touch!

Great for a short stay

We had a great time during our short stay over for Thanksgiving! Plenty of space for all of us (6 adults, 2 children). Needs some updating/repairs but would definitely stay again!

Quaint, peaceful family retreat

Our family of 6 (plus a friend) enjoyed this early fall visit. The house was very quiet, clean and provided several amenities. We enjoyed the paddle board, kayak, and option to rent the boat. There were several appreciated amenities indoors such as linens, paper products, 2 fridges, hooks to hang wet towels, fire pit, basketball court, seating options and a bar. To name a few! WiFi a little spotty but that made the kids do something else! Shopping and gas stations are 12-15 minutes away so stock up. Especially if it’s not the prime summer months as we learned this the hard way when trying to get gas for the boat. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay at Andrew’s place was great. All was as described in the listing.

The house was new newly remodeled and very nice. Air conditioning and water pressure were good. Beds were comfortable. Communication was great. The neighborhood and cove are quiet and the neighbors were friendly. We rented the pontoon boat and had a great time on the lake. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Wonderful Quiet Retreat

We totally enjoyed our stay. Property was on a nice quiet cove away from all the boats and jet skis. The adults enjoyed quiet nights on the back deck. (Love the reclining deck chairs!) The kids loved their loft area. Everything looked just like the pictures. Only downside was kitchen not open to the rest of house.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time at this lake house. The dock, kayaks, paddle board, and basketball court were much used. The home was comfortable, and clean. The grocery is a bit of a drive, so it’s good to pack some food.

Lyon’s creek

We had a great time. Interior House was comfy and clean. Great parking for 4-5 vehicles. Tight with boat trailer turns. Large dining table allowed our family of 10 to eat together. Kid space with tv in loft area was well appreciated . 2 fridges was a help with food storage and less grocery runs. Washer and dryer worked great. Paddle board and kayaks were fun. Dock accommodated our boats for fishing. (Big plus for us___ no jet ski traffic in this creek which made for safe boat tie up) shaded yard helped on very hot days.. interior AC great. Exterior of kitchen windows needed cleaning - Lots of cobweb build up. Kitchen area needs spray for ants and centipedes . Kitchen was well stocked except there were no kitchen dish towels. We used hand towels - this may have been just an oversight of the laundry service. Over all a great week!! Thanks for an enjoyable time!

Great place to stay!

Our family had a great time staying at this house! It was actually better than described which is always exciting. :) We had a slow drain in one of the tubs and the owner had someone come out to fix it the same day. We can’t wait to come back!!
