Ubicado al comienzo de una cala con una playa de arena, Sandy Shores ofrece una excelente vista del lago principal. Esta casa recientemente renovada (junio de 2016) ofrece dos niveles, un patio, terraza, muelle y nuevos jardines. El nivel principal tiene un plano de planta abierto con cocina, comedor y gran sala con un televisor inteligente de 55 "y reproductor de DVD. Hay 3 dormitorios y 2 baños. Las tres habitaciones dan al lago y acceden a la nueva cubierta.

La sala de estar tiene un sofá en forma de L, un nuevo sofá cama Queen (2018) y un pequeño sillón y silla de amor.

El nivel inferior tiene una sala abierta con una cocina de A. M. (fregadero, refrigerador, microondas) y un
Desayunador con taburetes. Hay una sala de estar con TV inteligente de 55 ", mesa de billar, medio baño y diván con cama nido. Un sofá también se convierte en un futón doble como cama, y tenemos un colchón inflable disponible para su uso.

Puede acceder al lago, la cubierta y el muelle desde este primer piso. Parte de la costa tiene una playa de arena natural para que todos puedan acceder al agua. Puede usar el muelle y el deslizamiento. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama King y un sofá cama / silla extraíble, y los otros dos dormitorios tienen camas Queen. Internet de alta velocidad. El muelle tiene un elevador de botes (capacidad de 6,000 lb) y un elevador de jet ski que puede usarse bajo su propio riesgo. También hay dos kayaks más pequeños para usar.

The house was beautiful and the lake views were gorgeous. Everything in the description of this property was accurate. The beds were comfortable, the house was spacious, and the kids and adults loved the basement games and activities. It was a relaxing winter weekend celebrating Christmas with the people closest to us. I highly recommend this place. The owners were friendly and helpful. The house was clean and comfortable. It had a wide variety of kitchen items so we could cook while we were there. Check in and out instructions were clear and easy to follow. This may be an insignificant detail, but I loved the nice thick towels and the extra blankets.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. This home has beautiful lake views, and we enjoyed two truly lovely sunsets during our stay. The house is spacious and well appointed, and the setting is peaceful and scenic. I especially enjoyed sitting out on the dock.However, given all the five-star reviews, I was surprised to find several dead roaches upon arrival. More concerning was seeing a live roach in the kitchen just as I was beginning to cook Thanksgiving dinner, and later noticing a few more in the basement. I live in South Carolina and am familiar with the occasional bug, but this level of activity was unexpected and disappointing.The home could also benefit from a deeper cleaning, some fresh paint in a few rooms (there is peeling paint on some ceilings), and a bit of yard cleanup and maintenance, as well as new caulking around the sliding doors. It also seemed like the property hadn’t been checked in a while, as we found Adirondack chairs in the lake and boats/kayaks scattered around the yard.With some attention to these areas, the property has the potential to be worthy again of a 5 star review.

The house itself was nice. However, we were notified there was a problem with the HVAC and a part was ordered 1-2 days prior to the trip. However, it was never stated the AC unit was off completely. When we arrived it felt like 80 degrees in the home. We did bring fans to use along with theirs which helped a little bit. The house was musky from no AC, but the host had some air fresheners delivered to the home. Although, nothing else was done to help accommodate for the whole HVAC system to not be on. I do not know if this a custom practice but we did have to put sheets on the twin beds ourselves and the towels smelled a little funny which could be from the lack of airflow. A few of the lights going down the path to the water did not work either. Tried to use the dishwasher, but the two times we ran it, the pod did not get used from its holder. Overall the property was fine and is probably great with AC. We did receive less than 30% back in a refund since we were told 1-2 days prior there was a problem with the HVAC. Would possibly return if AC was 100% guarantee. Just glad it was a weekend with cooler evenings and the river water was cooler during the day.

A Great Place

Emily and Alex were incredible hosts. We had a rough start with some unfortunate weather but they were calm, helpful, and kind through it all. The house was in a great location with a secluded yard. We were able to enjoy boating and fishing. The pool table, pac man and shuffleboard were great fun in the evening and when the weather wasn’t nice. A great time was had by all! Thank you Emily and Alex for being so easy to work with!

Family Getaway at the Lake

We loved our week away at the lake. The house was perfect for us! The beds are very comfortable, the view of the lake from the bedrooms and main living area is wonderful, the neighborhood is very nice and friendly. We spent our time fishing, swimming with the dog and enjoyed sitting by the campfire too! We loved itant wait to return!

Great Spring Break experience!

We had a great time! My grandsons (3 & 4) loved it! They were able to walk into the water, play in the sand, and fish off the dock. There were many games and toys to keep them occupied. The house is clean and well stocked, just as described. Easy communication with host.

Wanted for nothing!

My family and I stayed here over Christmas week. The property was so cozy and THEE best, well stocked property I have ever stayed at. Enough kitchen supplies including spices, oils, dish soaps and sponges (the list goes on and on!) And the lake views were incredible! My pup Rosie loved all the land and we ALL loved the firepit. My nieces and nephews utilized the kayaks and enjoyed hours of fishing! There was a slight misunderstanding with the dog policy (I feel VRBO responsible for this, not the host) but our host was beyond gracious, took the time to call me and it was all worked out. In the end I feel the VRBO app should be redesigned regarding the pet policy. The property has been in the hosts family for a very long time and I love the stories behind it! I will look forward to future stays here for sure! Book your stay, you won't regret it!

Weekend Family Getaway

The property was clean and well stocked with everything. There were kayaks which was an added surprise. We spent a lot of time down at the dock fishing and the kids enjoyed the variety of games. We had a small fire in the firepit and we went into Littleton, Roanoke Rapids, and Weldon for a variety of things. The Cryptozoology and Paranormal Museum was dissapointing. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Fabulous host

We stayed here for just over a week. Unfortunately it started to rain and was going to rain for days so we decided to leave early. But for the week + that we were there I have to say it was wonderful. It has to be the most well appointed house we have ever rented for vacation. If we needed it, it was there. Emily was very responsive and when we could not find the highchair she had one shipped in right away. (highchair is necessary for a one year old) There were plenty of toys to keep the three year old busy and the adults enjoyed swimming in the lake from the beach (as did the kids) and fishing from the dock. We will rent again.

End of Summer Excursion

It was wonderful! The host was very helpful and informative. The house was outstanding, accommodating and comfortable. It was perfectly positioned on the lake. The sunsets were beautiful. I highly recommend this house!

Wonderful and peaceful location with amazing views!

Even though hurricane Debby put a damper on a few of the days, it was still a great trip. The house was gorgeous and super spacious. The kids loved the game room and the pool table. The bedrooms were so nice and comfortable and the master bedroom was perfect with a king size bed! Each bedroom had a wonderful view of the lake and the gorgeous scenery of the back yard. The house was fully stocked with everything you could need from trash bags, to cookware, and Tupperware. Emily the owner was very nice and quick to respond for any questions I had. Would totally recommend this house and will stay again!!

Beautiful views of the lake

We have been vacationing at Lake Gaston every year for the past 10 years and this home was, by far, the best overall house/location we have ever stayed! The house had beautiful views of the lake from every room. It had plenty of supplies, dishes, dinnerware, etc. Pretty much everything you will need, besides the food, is provided! Emily was very responsive to messages and very accommodating.. She even rents 3 paddle boards for a fraction of the cost it would cost you to rent at other places! We plan on renting this again in upcoming years!

We loved this property! Emily was great and very accommodating!! She was very quick to address any questions/concerns we had. The house was awesome - very spacious and open with great views of the lake. We also enjoyed the game room downstairs. We loved how the cove was right off the main lake.
