Pet Friendly | Ocean Views | Across the Road from the Beach | The Round House

The Round House is a unique Amelia Island vacation home located at 1043 South Fletcher just across the street from the ocean's edge! This property can accommodate up to 12 guests with four bedrooms and three full bathrooms plus two Queen sleeper sofas. Guests will also appreciate having two kitchens and two living rooms. And who wouldn't love to have front row seats on the large balcony to enjoy beautiful sunrises over the ocean?

Three bedrooms and one bathroom are located at ground level along with the smaller kitchen and living area. The master suite, main living area, kitchen and another full bathroom are upstairs on the second level.

This home has been recently upgraded with new flooring, interior and exterior paint, an outdoor shower and wall mounted TVs throughout. Beach Access #10-S is conveniently located across from the street (See Photos). Our Gopher Tortoise, Terri, resides onsite in the front yard. Please do not touch!

Please Note:
This property is NOT equipped with beach items such as chairs, toys, coolers, wagons, or umbrellas. We do supply beach towels and often times beach items do get left on the property from previous guests. We cannot ensure how many items will be available during your stay, as this is always subject to change.

We had an amazing stay! The communication with the host from pre-reservation through checkout was fantastic! The main kitchen is vey well stocked! The beds are comfortable, plenty of parking, and easy drive to downtown.

Lovely views, we loved being so close to the beach! The bedrooms all very nice size! Allowed for privacy of each couple. The living rooms: such great comfortable areas to gather, jig saw puzzle and play Cards!! Great place to meet up!! Gramma 87yo came in from Jersey, Daughter and spouse Dunedin, son and my spouse/self came in from Parrish, Fl! We will be back!!

We thoroughly enjoyed out time at The Round House. There was an issue with the oven upstairs and the rental management company attempted to fix it before we left. Thankfully there was another oven downstairs we could use. That made cooking slightly inconvenient, but we made it work. Communication with the rental management company could not have been better the entire time we were there. They contacted us when we arrived to make sure everything was satisfactory (this was before the oven issue) and checked in with us periodically as the issue was being worked on.The house was perfect for our family and access to the beach could not have been better.

Great beach vacation home!

We had our annual family vacation at the Round House. What an awesome time! Across the street from the beach path, so easy to get on the beach, back for lunch, then back out again. So much room to spread out and relax, perfect spot for games during the occasional rain. I highly recommend this home if you’re staying on Amelia Island.

Great New Year

The house is very nice, clean, roomy and very well stocked. Plenty of cooking items, which means a lot to us. We do a lot of cooking. The views and proximity to the beach and downtown are great.

10 of us for a Big Birthday gathering.

We were all happy with the accomodations. All queen or king beds. 4 bedrooms and 2 sofa beds. Perfect for our group. The location right across from a beach access and the house were just right!

Excellent home across from beach!

We rented the round house for our annual girl’s weekend with my mom, sister, and best friends. We were looking for a place close to the beach but with a balcony and walking distance to restaurants. This place was in a great location, the bedrooms were comfortable and decorated tastefully, and the balcony gave us spectacular views of the moonrise. We walked the mile to Sliders and had dinner 2 nights and also drive to downtown Fernandina for shopping and a boat tour of Cumberland Island. Highly recommend the round house!

This house is tired

The pictures looked great, but the house is outdated and is falling apart. I'm shocked at the price compared to the value. The location is great, the house was clean (save some dirty doors/walls), and the property management company communicated very well. It's just the house itself- there are maintenance issues, the front porch feels like it's about to collapse, the kitchen is way outdated as is everything in it, the hot water has issues when more than one shower is being used, the master toilet is super low and there were problems with the chain while flushing. We visit Amelia Island once a year- we will not be coming back to this house.

Great house across the street from beach

Clean and more spacious than it looks.Layout of house was great for us. Older parents upstairs while the younger adults had the downstairs and we didn’t hear a thing. Beach was very quiet and beach access was one house down which was also nice. Good quiet location but still close to everything. Walked a mile in both directions to restaurants. We will be back.

Good location. The unit was very clean. Appliances relatively new. Nice view of ocean across the street. Lots of beach equipment available. Unit is quite dated and outside needs updated. (Painting, decks are dated, etc) Overall was a good place to stay
