Este hermoso 3 dormitorios está perfectamente ubicado, lo suficientemente cerca como para caminar a la playa y al pueblo, pero lo suficientemente lejos como para disfrutar de la paz y la tranquilidad, rodeado de bosques y exuberante vegetación.
La villa ha sido amueblada con cuidado y la atención al detalle ha creado un ambiente especial. Los muebles son de primera clase y, aunque la casa es moderna, tiene un toque mexicano distintivo creado por los colores de las paredes y las obras de arte.

La singularidad de esta propiedad es su ubicación. Se encuentra en una comunidad cerrada y es una de las 16 casas que se encuentran separadas entre sí. Esta casa es la propiedad de la esquina rodeada de bosques, se extiende hacia el campo de golf y el Santuario de Aves, lo que hace que la vista desde el patio sea extremadamente tranquila y hermosa. vida.

Excellent séjour dans une villa très confortable et agréablement décorée, avec terrasse privative visitée par la "vie sauvage" (biche, iguanes, coatis, agoutis... ( piscine commune aux 16 lots) et parfaitement calme (au contraire du centre d'activités de Playa del Carmen dont le niveau sonore devient assourdissant à la tombée de la nuit.

Very nice home for your family vacation

Well stocked, safe, location is 15 min walk to the beach, and behind a gated community. The pool area is very nice and well kept. Breakfast outback daily with visitors: iguanas, deer, agoutis, white-nosed coatis, and many different birds. Definitely recommend.

What a great time!

This property is as advertised! An easy walk to the beach and to all the action on 5th Ave while also being super safe and quiet! The restaurant recommendations were amazing. La Brioche is a must for breakfast and is in the gated area of Playacar. For $300MX/adult we enjoyed the bird sanctuary just a block away. We took our host’s recommendation and booked round trip transport to/from the airport with Canada Travel 10/10 would recommend! They were so great we added a booking with them for a private trip to Tulum and Casa Tortugas. The pool was perfect for kids and the little backyard was almost like having a zoo! Host Nina was AMAZING and even helped us get on WhatsApp and plugged into the local taxi service. A perfect blend of being able to live like a local or a tourist depending on our mood!

AMAZING

We had a wonderful stay and absolutely recommend. The house is in a beautiful, walkable neighborhood, and backs to a pretty jungle. On the back patio we saw agouti, parrots, coati, and deer, and iguanas while walking around. Easy access to the busier parts of PDC. We felt so safe walking around Playacar. Loved the pool, it was cool and shady and had a perfect shallow area for our 4 year old. We went to the beach and walked to 5th avenue, drove to Tulum and cenotes and went snorkeling at Puerto Morales. The house was so well equipped! Loved having beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers!

Spectacular experience!

I enthusiastically recommend Gillian’s wonderful condo, as well as Gillian herself! This was as close to an ideal travel experience as I’ve ever had. Everything - the communication preparing for our arrival, the great suggestions of activities, restaurants, etc., the excellent instructions pertaining to the beautifully appointed and maintained condo and the wonderful attentiveness of caretakers Nina and Chris next door, not to mention the ideal location, quiet and within walking distance to beach and town - was clearly and cheerfully communicated. 6 stars!!!

Everything We Wanted

Lovely property. Very private and quiet, and always felt safe walking anywhere in this gated community. Comfortable beds and lots of space up and downstairs for us, our grandchildren, and their parents. Everyone enjoyed the pool and almost always had it to ourselves. It seems much of the travel delay is related to baggage issues and lineups, so we really appreciated the huge washer/dryer which enabled carryon luggage for family coming from the UK. Kitchen is very well equipped with quality dishware, glasses , utensils ,pots and pans, small and large appliances. There is an amazing choice of TV channels (like 9,500 according to the guide) The guys really enjoyed all the sports which they rarely get to see together- plenty of room for 6 on the sofas. Hot water was plentiful for all of us showering. On site managers were readily available and very helpful on the rare occasions needed. The owner was amazingly prompt responding to any enqueries before and during the booking process. Her detailed directions certainly were invaluable in our comfort level and positive anticipation of our vacation over xmas with family. PS Thanks for the Christmas tree!

Great location, great home, great stay

In my opinion, this condo is the absolute best value in Playacar. It is very safe. Walking at night was safe, even for my teenager. It was walking distance to the Ferry to Cozumel and PDC (about 15 minutes). We rented a car, which made the trip even better. It is easy to get out of PDC via car. Note that if you rent a car, look on the map for Acesso Playacar. This is the gate. GPS wants to take you to the residence only entrance. The home was really nice and clean. Everything that you need is there, including the drinking water. Rooms are large and nice. The condo is very well decorated. We really enjoyed staying here and will do so the next time that we go

Fantastic Week in Perfect Location

My family just spent an amazing week at this lovely condo in Playacar, and we loved every minute of it! The condo itself is super clean, roomy, comfortable, absolutely beautifully furnished and decorated, and perfectly situated near the town and beach. My 2 teenagers had their own rooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. I loved sitting on the back patio each morning watching the animals in the little jungle that borders the property. We were within easy walking distance to town and spent each night wandering up and down 5th Avenue. Talking to people on the street, shopping at the little stores and stands, and trying local food was our favorite nightly activity! The beach is an easy 5- minute walk and although we had to battle seaweed on some days, we made it work. The pool at the condo was great too -- very quiet and clean. Mamita's beach club is a short taxi ride and a fun way to see more local families and enjoy another local beach - you can rent chairs, an umbrella and buy drinks delivered to you on the beach! We also took day trips to the water park Xel Ha (the local ADO bus is cheap, clean and compfortable), Tulum and some cenotes nearby, and we took the ferry across to Cozumel for snorkeling. Getting around via local transport or taxi was so easy! Finally, Playacar is a beautiful gated community - it felt very safe. I can't recommend this condo enough - it was just perfect!

Incredible place

Just finished a week stay with 5 adults and 3 kids. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Was just a short walk up to 5th Avenue. The small pool was perfect for our 1.5 and 3.5 year old daughters. It was nice and peaceful and quiet. Would defn stay again Gillian was always very quick to respond to any messages as well Thank you so much!

A wonderful 2 weeks in Playa

I stayed here for two weeks in January 2020. It was my first time in Playa Del Carmen, and I felt very fortunate to have reserved such a lovely and delightful home, with the perfect location to access everything in Playa, plus have quiet in natural surroundings. The house, including the kitchen, was equiped with everything possible needed for a comfortable feel-at-home stay. Beautiful artwork throughout, quality furnishings, very comfortable beds, great wifi, etc. The property manager was very helpful and responsive, and Gillian genuinely wanted to make sure we had a fantastic stay. I am hoping to stay here again next year.

Our stay couldn’t have been better!

Villa was beautiful, with lots of lovely Mexican folk art and comfortable furnishings, equipped with everything my family of 5 needed. The location was perfect for us, in quiet, safe, gated community just a short walk from the beach, and Avenida Qinta. Gillian was a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful. We loved it here!

Perfection

This place is everything you could want for your vacation. Gilly’s home is beautiful, well kept, clean, and very spacious indeed. Believe it or not, the photos don’t do this place justice! You're provided with everything you need, from beach chairs, to a washer/dryer! The complex itself is very attractive, and feels secluded but safe and welcoming- and you even have access to a lovely pool. The location is excellent: the beach is a 5/10 minute walk away max. and there is a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops also within walking distance. You can also get to Tulum, a number of cenotes, and other popular attractions within a very short space of time. The hosts are incredible! They answer all queries promptly, and ensure you have everything you need for your stay. I could not recommend this house highly enough!

Best Family Vacation!!

My husband and I, our 2 young children, my mum and my cousin all stayed at Gill and John’s house for 10 days earlier this month. We had such an amazing time, it would be remiss of me not write a glowing review. In order for us to feel comfortable while travelling, we need space, a good location, and access to amenities. Let me start with the space. Beautiful, bright and clean. My husband, kids and I all had the master room, equipped with our own bathroom. My mum and cousin had their own rooms too with ensuites. We never felt cramped and had enough room to relax and read a book, enjoy coffee and all eat dinner at the table. My kids were able to run around freely in and around the house with enough space to get away from each other when they had enough. Priceless. The location could not have been better. As a family, we value quiet nights away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. Gill and John’s house was less than a 5 minute walk from 2 main streets (depending on which exit you take). We were literally 5 minutes away from fabulous shopping (the Plaza mall and various souvenir and silver shops), restaurants, bars and night spots. And once you leave the streets and enter the gate at Playacar, you are right back to the peace and quiet. Which is something we really valued on this trip. “Our beach”, was a 5 minute walk away (or less, if you don’t have kids to lift up). It is so stunning with turquoise water and the whitest sand. We were sad to say goodbye to it. Another appreciated part of the location was its proximity to Cancun, Xel Ha, Xpu Ha, and Tulum and everything in between. We managed to stumble upon the most gorgeous Cenote, maintained and protected by the Mayan people. Stunning. All within a 20 minute drive. Lastly, we had full access to the washer/dryer, pool, drinking water, beach accoutrements, wifi among so many other things. Having all of our usual necessities at our disposal while we were away from home was so important in us being able to relax-especially with the kids. It was a home away from home. Gill and John, thank you both for opening your beautiful casa to us! We plan on going back for the same time next year and the year after that!

7 relaxing days

7 of us (2 couples with 3 children, ages 8, 6 and 2), stayed here for 7 full days. We enjoyed having the room to spread out (3 bedrooms and 3 full baths) in a quiet, private condo, where you can see animals from the back patio. We never saw our neighbors! Each condo is a 2-story unit that is completely separate from the next one. The beach was a 10 minute stroll down a tree-lined street. The kids loved to play in the waves of an ocean with the most turquoise water (nice, slightly rough after the rain). The beach was not crowded, and the sand did not get hot! The kids loved the quiet pool which we pretty much had to ourselves. We loved how central the place was, central to: Cancun, Tulum, different eco parks, and Cozumel. The pier to catch boats to Cozumel is just a short walk from the beach access. It rained for 3 days, but we still made use of it by exploring. Chris, the property manager, met us at the condo, and he had arranged transportation to and from the airport (which I highly recommend) and also to our excursions (including Xel-ha eco park, which is just amazing - you can spend an entire day here with different water activities for all, food and alcohol included). Chris was very helpful! The Walmart and another grocery store are about a 25-30 minute walk or a taxi ride away. The area felt safe to walk, day or night. The main shopping and restaurant area is along 5th Avenue, a street along the beach about 10-15 minute leisurely walk from the condo. The srreet is closed to cars. Shops run from high end stores, to Old Navy, Starbucks, to big souvenir stores to small shops in which you can bargain from jewelry to clothes, leather to hats. There are hotels and restaurants, some of which are only accessible along the beach. On the last day, we discovered Inti, a restaurant/holistic center which has great food, a very relaxing setting, yoga in the mornings and awesome smoothies. We had massages there for an amazing price and service was great! We also walked to El Fogon for their big platter of meats to share (so good), the Japanese restaurant nearby, and the little street place on the way to 5th Ave for a snack of coconut ice cream or mango smoothie. But we loved being able to eat breakfast at home and even lunch if we wanted to. The beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer were well appreciated. Everything was clean. Drinking water was provided. We had everything we needed, from beach chairs to plates and pots! We had a great stay!

We loved Gilly's place, the house was just perfect, well situated and just a little walk from the beach, we enjoy the 10 days a lot and hope to come back again! Tranquil oasis within minutes of fun and exitement !

We had the fabulous opportunity to spend a month celebrating my Mums 80th birthday in Playa and were fortunate to have picked Gilly and John's place. It was absolutely perfect for everyone who came down to join our celebration. A few minutes walk to the warm blue waters, soft white sand, shops, nightlife, wildlife and more ! Yet every time we came back to Gilly's casa we felt like we had our own quiet and secluded hide-away . Our mornings were filled with the delightful sounds of the happy chirping birds and visits from our little jungle friends who entertained us with their sweet curiosity . Our nights were filled with strolls on the plaza, unbelievable restaurants, dancing the night away or simply hanging out in the comfy lounge. Gilly left us with a great guide to everything we needed, Chris the property manger was amazing in attending to our every need and Damas, the cleaning lady had the place sparking upon our arrival. The worst part is that after a month of bliss, we did not want to leave !!

Mom/daughter getaway

There are not enough words to even get close to saying how WONDERFUL this vacation home is! We were greeted by Gilly personally, where she proceeded to give us fantastic information on places to eat,, sightseeing, and taxi info. She and her husband were so welcoming and considerate we couldn't have asked for anything more personal. The home itself is immaculate, roomy, private but still a part of the community. The walk to the beach and town is short and easy. I would got back every year if given the chance!

Romantic, Family Friendly, This Place Has It All

We traveled to Playa del Carmen as a family of six, grandparents in our sixties, children in their thirties and grandchildren seven and three. Gillian's beautiful condo accommodated us all perfectly. The condo is visually stunning, three large bedrooms, one on the first floor and two on the second and three full bathrooms. The layout meant that we could be together and still have privacy when we wanted a little alone time. The kitchen had everything we needed and although we loved going out to sample the wonderful food we also enjoyed shopping at the Mega, a short cab ride away, and making our own feasts. The dining room fit us all easily and there were plenty of dishes. There was a blender so we could make frozen drinks which we then took out to the amazing patio that faces a private, bird watchers paradise. Each day we identified new birds and our grandchildren also loved watching for the coatis, small furry animals, that passed through several times a day. The pool was clean and large enough to swim in or just to lay on a tube and soak up the sun. A short walk from the condo brought us to a white sand beach that was perfect for walking, sitting or splashing in the waves. The condo came with beach chairs, umbrella and cooler - everything we could want to enjoy the spectacular view. It was also a short walk into Playa which we did frequently. Gillian was so helpful in answering all our questions before we left and Chris, the condo manager, was helpful while we were in Mexico. Playa itself was a lovely place to visit. It felt very safe, it was easy to get around both on foot and using taxis - we never felt the need for a car. The food was excellent from the cheap and tasty tacos directly across the street from the Mega grocery store to the more upscale options along 5th Avenue, a pedestrian shopping and eating area closed to vehicles for many, many blocks. We've been to a number of places in Mexico but this was our first time in Playa. We will be back.

beautiful, 3 bedroom home away from home in Playa del Carmen - short walk to the beach

Gillian and John's vacation home in Playacar is a perfect getaway vacation home in Mexico. It is located just minutes from 5th Avenue (La Quinta) which is the main pedestrian shopping and restaurant street in the heart of Playa del Carmen. This home has everything a family or a group of friends would need...a perfect BBQ, plenty of hot water for showers, a big kitchen perfect for group dinners, outdoor back private deck for outdoor dining. The TV is great and Netflix is available for those nights you want to stay in. This home is well managed, clean, and very organized. The beds are comfortable and the showers are hot. A perfect vacation getaway!

We love to travel and enjoy all that it brings to enhance our lives. We brought all our family on a vacation in 2008 and decided that Playa Del carmen had everything we could want in a holiday resort, and decided right there that we wanted to own a house in the area. We are social people and find it very easy to make friends in Playa. We also enjoy quiet times to kick back with our feet up with a good book. We are thrilled with our choice of home and look forward to many fun times there.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We chose this house for its location. It is perfectly situated.close enough to be able to walk to the beach and the town and yet it is very quiet at night with no traffic noise. It is actually only 50 mtrs. through to the golf course but is seperated by dense jungle which creates a special ambiance of being away from it all. The bird Avery is a few mtrs away and we get to watch an abundance of beautiful birds whilst sitting on the patio.

The location is unique. It sit alone and from the patio the view is only the luscious green jungle, offering sightings of beautiful tropical birds and local wildlife. ( all very safe) No other houses are over looking this property.
