Our overall experience met our expectations as we were looking for a different, authentic, local experience. We wanted to try something different from an all-inclusive for a longer term stay, and Casa de Kasbah delivered. All arrangements for transfer to and from the airport were excellent. Communication with the hosts and housekeeper were timely and very positive. We had a couple of minor technical issues that were resolved quickly and smoothly with a smile and excellent follow up from the hosts.The house is very comfortable and well equipped, and the pool was excellent. The area is a bit rustic, but we always felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for. The local people are very nice as are all of the other tourists and long term "regulars". There is a definite sense of community, which is what we were hoping to experience.There are many good local restaurants and smaller markets and stores for most things that you would need to self-cater if you wished.All-in-all, while it wasn't "perfect" (nothing is), our stay in La Cruz was exactly what we were hoping for, and we will likely return.
