Studio style Cabana on the river


Cozy studio style cabana on the Mermentau River, sleeps up to 4 adults. This cabana offers gorgeous views of the Mermentau River as well as scenic swamp views. Relax on the large deck over the water while you enjoy the sunrise and/or sunset. Deck has plenty of seating as well as a grill area. Private boat launch on site, plenty of parking available to our renters. This studio style apartment is very private, offers guests a full kitchen, full size bathroom, queen bed, sofa in sitting area, breakfast table and stools, outdoor screened in patio with seating and grill. Outside of the cabana we offer a fire pit with plenty of chairs as well as a picnic table to enjoy your meals outside while taking in the beautiful view! No laundry room accessible.
We do offer kayak rental add on! Kayaks are $25 per day per kayak and includes life jacket and paddle.

Really peaceful getaway spot. Cabin was small but perfect for the two of us. Property and cabin were well kept and the location was about as peaceful as it can get. Caught a couple of fish and the dock was well equipped for cleaning and scaling them on the spot. Communication with the host was great as well (I probably bugged them more than necessay). Will definitely look to stay here again for a weekend getaway in the future! Highly recommend.

The property was very clean, cute and conveniently located close to everything. View of river was good and it was a nice get away. The dock over the water is 2nd to none. Local restaurants were fantastic and went to see a play at the Strand. The only negative that I can say it that when sitting in the screen patio, the AC of the unit drowns out the peacefulness, then again, this is South Louisiana.

What a great little hidden gem. This little waterfront getaway is perfect, whether your looking for a quiet getaway or a place to stay for local events. The cabin is perfectly decorated and has all of the amenities of home. This will definitely be our go to when we are staying in the area.

Beautiful, relaxing retreat

Our family stayed here over Easter weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful and the house charming. The kids loved the dock and the adults loved sitting in the screened-in porch watching the barges go by. We will be back!

Would recommend!

Took a small get away with my husband and our two dogs. The dog apartment with the dog run allowed us to know our dogs were safe while we went out and about. The house has every thing we needed and was comfortable. Communication was great!

Great getaway

With the busy city of Austin, my partner and I wanted to get away for a little. What a great stay. Very small town but we brought everything we needed for a nice fire and to grill. The deck is great for morning coffee and late night fishing. Perfect little place for relaxing and even bird watching. Would love to go back! Only small complaint was the water was a little too hot in the shower but nothing that ruined the 5 star review or our stay.

Mardi Gras weekend in Lake Arthur

The stay started off a little rocky, had not water when we showed up. I had to contact the owner for assistance and notify him of the issue. Water had been turned off due to freezing weather so there was not a problem with the lines it was just isolated for freeze protection. The owner was super nice and explained to me the location of the water meter and I turned it on, and all was good from then on! The stay was great, and it was a very nice please. I hope to go back during the summer just to hang out at the cabin and enjoy the scenery
