good location.

the house was clean and had everything we needed the location was great, only a 15 minute drive to the River Walk and other places of interest. the hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Retirement ceremony

We were visiting SA to attend a friends retirement from the Army after 34 years. We have stayed all over SA during the past 45 years visiting including Ft Sam. We love Woodlawn and have always spent time there although never actually stayed in the neighbourhood. The property was spacious and well appointed. Romana had gone above and beyond by stocking the refrigerator with essential prior to our evening arrival. The house has everything we needed for a pleasant month stay. A minor mishap when one toilet cistern broke was speedily dealt with and no fuss. Romana and Jon were perfect hosts even having us over for supper to meet with their friends. I hope we can entertain them in the UK soon to repay their kindness and true Texan hospitality. I can’t say enough nice things about the property or hosts you’ll have to check it out for yourself, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Safe, convenient and nostalgic

Very much enjoyed the 50's ambience of this home! Brought back lots of great childhood memories--especially the phone nook in the hall! The location was very convenient, the neighborhood safe, and the house very clean. We appreciated the toys left for our younger grandkids, although a change in their plans and a later-than-scheduled arrival prevented much time to use them(!) Everything worked very well for our party of six.

Great Location

A charming house in a quiet neighborhood. The location was perfect and close to the Alamo and Riverwalk. The host was very accommodating and flexible with check in and check out times. There was a lovely gift basket and toys for the kids!

Great Place!

Pros: plenty of space for a family! Off street parking. Close to downtown and other San Antonio attractions, dishes and coffee in the kitchen, plenty of towels and soaps, comfy beds and pillows! Grill and outdoor seating! Cons: it got pretty hot in the house while cooking, there wasn’t quite enough fans to keep it cool. We had to buy extra toilet paper for our family, and around the kitchen area there were ants but not terrible! There is a parrot next door that likes to talk to anyone! LOL! We didn’t mind at all, it was kind of cute.

In town for a 4H competition and sight seeing

Our family of 6 had a pleasant and comfortable stay in this property. The house was spotless and had a nice welcome basket of snacks, muffins and water bottles (and cold A/C!) ready for us. We didn’t end up cooking much but the kitchen seemed well appointed. The bed linens and bath towels were in clean and fluffy! It was a really nice place to recharge after our activities and we would definitely stay here again!

Amazing home in Historic Jefferson/Monticello

We sold our home more quickly than we could buy another so I needed a home big enough to accommodate our family of 5. Romana’s place was beautiful! Well appointed with gorgeous art, cozy furniture, plenty of beds with fresh white linens, and 2 sparkling clean full baths! The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of serving dishes, new cookware and some lovey antique dishes, as well. We were able to grill and eat at the large outdoor table in the huge backyard a few nights, too. We also enjoyed taking walks and checking out the beautiful historic homes of Monticello. The Christmas lights were marvelous. The HEB is less than 4 minutes away and the Jefferson Bodega was our teen’s favorite snack spot! We loved eating breakfast at Pancake Joes, too! Lots of amenities close by. Romana made it really special by leaving a huge fruit basket and treats for my kiddos. The beds were comfortable and the house was well stocked with coffee, tea, toiletries and all the touches of home. It was definitely our home away from home. 5 STARS!!!

This property was perfect for our family vacation. 👪 Great neighborhood, kids enjoyed the bunk beds. Close to all attractions. We even extended our stay an extra day. Host was awesome and made it simple to extend our stay. Thank you for everything, we definitely recommend 👌this house. 100%

Family vacation

We had a wonderful experience renting this property. The hosts was easy to communicate with and quick to reply. The house was clean and the host left a welcome note and check in gift. We instantly felt welcomed on arrival! The neighborhood was very quiet and within 10 minutes of downtown. The beds are all very comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals for our family. Our children enjoyed playing outside in the fenced yard. It was nice to have access to the garage. We would stay here again if we are ever in the area!

I am a native resident of San Antonio and my husband is from Wisconsin. We were stationed in Charleston S. C. We then moved to San Antonio.This home is very special because it was the first home we purchased as a married couple. We were blocks away from my parents.
I have known our neighbors on Beverly for years. We have wonderful neighbors.! It is a quiet and peaceful street. This historic mid century home has original hardwood floors and original tile in bathrooms. When we were in Charleston I taught hospitality law. Jon and I are lawyers, I am a licensed real estate agent with the Phyllis Browning Co. and Jon has a private practice in town. Jon is also retired from the military. This home was very close to the downtown courthouse and Lackland AFB. I love the hospitality industry. Hope you join us as guests in our comfy home.

This property is in a lovely historic neighborhood central to Downtown San Antonio, The Pearl, The medical center, and greater San Antonio. It is located in a tranquil neighborhood with older well established neighbors. It has an expansive backyard with mature pecan trees. The backyard is fenced. A great place to enjoy the outdoors and a barbecue. The backyard is equipped with a grill and outdoor furniture. A detached garage, and a very long driveway for multiple vehicles. The interior of the home is comfortable and has a great flow. This midcentury home has gorgeous hardwood floors, the bathroom tile is original and vibrant. This property is uniquely located between the Art Deco district and The Riverwalk. Woodlawn Lake is minutes away, the perfect spot for having a picnic by the lake, jogging, playing tennis, going to the gym, swimming, or playing basketball. Local restaurants include Tip Top Cafe, The world-famous Mi Tierra's cafe, and Art Deco pizza.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We fell in love with this pink brick midcentury home with its vibrant tile bathrooms and shiny hardwood floors when we purchased it. The backyard provides a beautiful landscape of mature pecan trees and lush grass. The midcentury architecture took our breath away. The tranquility of the neighborhood and the friendly neighbors still remain our friends. It was very close to the downtown courthouse and Lackland Air Force Base where we worked.
