We celebrated a 50th birthday party with lots of family and some friends at this lake house. There is a fabulous commercial kitchen and lots of rooms. There are stunning lake views and a kayak for use. We absolutely loved our stay here.

5 Stars – Perfect Spot for Our Team Retreat!

We stayed at The Cove for our high school volleyball team camp, and it was absolutely perfect for our group! The property had plenty of room for all 17 players and chaperones to spread out comfortably, with great common areas for team bonding and downtime.One of the highlights was the lake access—it was in a quiet cove, well away from boat traffic, which made it the ideal spot for the girls to swim, float, and relax safely. We felt like we had our own private slice of the lake.The property itself was very clean, and the host was super responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the entire booking and stay. There was also plenty of parking, which made arrival and unloading hassle-free.All in all, The Cove gave our team a memorable and relaxing retreat. We couldn’t have asked for a better space to kick off our season!

36th Annual Family Reunion

We had 31 people in this home. There is plenty of room for everyone!!! The kitchen was a dream kitchen to use and the eating area for everyone was amazing. We also played a card game with 18 people and the long tables worked out great. At first, we thought the configuration of the rooms was interesting. They seemed like individual "hotel" rooms but it worked out great for each of the families. You do access them from outside but it is all covered so not a problem. A cover for the dock would be nice, but the dock is really well built and the stairs into the water were perfect for everyone!!! Best we have seen in our 36 years of our family reunion. It also has a beautiful view. Thanks for sharing with us.

Fabulous family time

We had a total of 16 people. There was a fourth generation get together and everyone was happy with the space that all the different age groups that was there. This place met all of our needs thank you.

Perfect For Church Retreat

The lake house was perfect for our stay. We took 27 people on a 3 day church retreat, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The lake house was very clean and comfortable. the views from the lake house to the water are amazing. We loved the large kitchen with industrial size appliances! There are two bedrooms on the main floor with two bathrooms just outside of those rooms. The large living room, large dining room, and large kitchen are also on the main floor. All other rooms are downstairs on the lower level, which are only accessed by outside stairway. There was plenty of parking space for our 8 vehicles. Renters should keep in mind that there are lots of stairs to walk to go down to the water, and about 18 steps to get to the downstairs bedrooms, for anyone who can't do stairs should know this ahead of time. Also, the closest Walmart is about 15 to 20 minutes away, which was not a problem. All in all, the place is just awesome and the owners were very easy to work with. We will rent this place again in the near future! We highly recommend!

Perfect for our group!

We held a marriage retreat here, and the gathering spaces were absolutely perfect with a huge industrial kitchen and extremely spacious dining area. The living area was perfect for our group sessions. We also enjoyed having a session outside around the fire pit. All our needs were met, beds were comfy, perfect location. Instructions and descriptions were fantastic, and the host was very responsive and kind. We would most definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay

It was perfect our family of 9 adults and 16 children. Great spot on the water. We rented boats locally and enjoyed tubing, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming off the dock. There are a lot of stairs so keep that in mind if you have anyone with mobility impairments in your party. Enjoyed the large kitchen and living spaces!

Family vacation

The property is great. Such a nice and relaxing place. Enough room to accommodate my family. We had 7 children and 18 adults and there was plenty of space for all of us. We loved it being right on the lake.

Family Reunion

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. We had a large group and the separate individual rooms/bathrooms were nice because we all had more privacy and felt it helped with noise too. The large kitchen was fabulous and the dock was amazing! Great water off dock that you could fully enjoy. Would stay here again.

All-In-One Event Property on the Lake

This place was perfect for my now wife & I to get married with a small family audience. Plenty of room for everyone, kitchen & dining room were amazing. The views from the back (upper and lower) porches were so satisfying from sunrise to sunset. We had multiple family couples that had their own Suites which really made it feel like a super nice hotel. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an all-in-one getaway for events ext.

Lake Martin is my happy place. My Gran and Poppa took me and my brother every summer. When my brother had kids, we picked the tradition back up and I've been search for property for the last 3 years. Then we found this place! We fully rehabbed it in 2021.

During our hunt for the perfect intimate wedding venue, we found Burke Cove. When the owner told me it was listed for sale, it took all my fiancé could do to keep me from going into shock. We drove up the next day and put in an offer. I wanted somewhere we could vacation each year, make memories and slow down the pace of life. This is it. We renamed it The Cove and did a complete remodel.

Guests can enjoy the beautiful cove, which boasts a fantastic dock perfect for boating, swimming, or simply relaxing on the water. The newly constructed retaining walls have created a spacious 20x40 paver area, ideal for lakeside weddings or any social event.
