My family stayed in Alpena for a funeral in Hillman.

We had a great stay. Very clean and nice house. Went for a morning run by the water. Ate dinner outside by the water at Pompeyos.

Wedding Weekend

This was our 1st VRBO experience. We came to town for our daughter’s wedding; We needed lodging to accommodate 4 adults and 2 young children. This home was perfect for us, clean and cozy, well stocked. The 2 young children (ok, the adults too) enjoyed the toaster to make waffles by morning and the fire pit to make s’mores by night. We’ll likely return if our daughter continues to live in Alpena!

Family Visit

We had a great stay at the property it was clean and well stocked! We traveled with an infant and no details were missed a crib, extra crib sheets, tissues, toys! The trip was a success and we will be returning to this house again!

Beautiful property

This home was beautiful! There were six of us women that stayed here for our VFW State pool tournament. So much room for us all and two bathrooms was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet Neighborhood Close to Everything

Charming updated two story house in a quiet neighborhood less than 3 minutes to restaurants, shopping, shipwreck tour boat, museums, and more. House was spotless, beds are comfy, couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to explore Alpena and surrounds. Would recommend!!

Beautiful Home

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The hosts were very easy to work with and quick to respond. The home is beautifully decorated and very clean. The location to the beach is great and it was just a 25 minute drive to visit the Rockport State Recreation Area for fossil hunting. A great stay.

Weekend Trip to Alpena

The property was very clean and the location was great with a short walk to downtown and the beach/parks. I traveled with my 11 month son so it was great to have a crib in one of the rooms!

Jennie's property was just as described. We used it as a home base for traveling to several State parks in the area and it worked out great!

Hi! We're Jennie and Josh, owners of Handrich Properties. We've been married for 20 years and have made our home here in Alpena. We love going on adventures with our 3 kids, like biking, camping, and travelling the US.

I (Jennie) owned my own custom cake business for 13 years, and love meeting new people! I now work at our awesome local gym, and love running . I'll be running my third marathon this summer.

Josh is a real estate agent and loves basketball and playing hobby board games. One of his current favorites is Terraforming Mars. He has a vast collection of games, and is always happy to loan them out if you're staying with us and looking for a new game to try.

Our properties have been beautifully renovated and are just minutes from the beach. You will have the entire home to yourself. We live very close by and are happy to help with anything you might need during your stay, providing we are not out of town at the time.
