Everything was good, however the mattresses wrapped in plastic was very difficult to sleep on. It was noisy and hot. You should invest in good mattress covers and get rid of the plastic. The view was great from the balcony. We really enjoyed being able to bring our dog.

It’s okay if you’re never at your hotel — I came here mainly to bring my dog to see the beach, and I was glad it was pet-friendly. The location is great with an easy walk to the beach, not a ton of traffic, and it was peaceful since we visited the weekend after Labor Day when most tourists were gone. That said, the property was not cleaned well at all, which was disappointing. The drains didn’t work properly, there was a sock and some pennies under the bed when we arrived along with hair balls, the bathroom door was falling apart and long black hairs stuck under it would drag across the floor when it was closed (everyone staying with us was blonde, so these weren’t ours), the floors were sandy, and the sheets had a blood spot on them so I couldn’t use them. The supplied toilet paper roll was extremely thin, and while it was disclosed that only one roll would be provided, it ran out quickly (thankfully I brought my own). The pool hose used to rinse off sand was rusted and broken when we got there, so we had to wait an hour outside covered in sand until maintenance was able to fix it. If you plan on cooking heavily, I wouldn’t recommend relying on the kitchen here, and even though the property is labeled non-smoking it smelled like cigarette smoke mixed with air freshener, with a noticeable odor of weed as well. Overall, the convenience and location were the best parts, but between the cleaning issues and maintenance delays, the stay did not meet expectations.

The view and easy access to the beach were amazing. The room and balcony were very clean, and the kitchen was a great feature. Two of the neighboring properties are abandoned which was somewhat concerning. But the other guests in the building were all very nice and I felt safe the whole time. We only had one issue with the keypad to enter the room. But the maintenance man was very nice and helpful.

This was the perfect vacation get-away! I was pleasantly surprised with the property!! It was neat, clean and had everything we needed, including dishes, cookware and a coffee pot! The property is obviously an older property, but it was very tidy, comfortable and also quiet. We stayed for 6 days, with pets, and had zero complaints. The only minor thing was that the beds (mattresses) were a bit uncomfortable. However, that wasn't enough of an issue for me to lower my rating. The view is amazing and with a nicely sized balcony, complete with chairs and a table that are perfect for watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee. Beach access is right out front, 30 seconds away!We are very happy that we found this little spot and will definitely be returning here soon!!

Location was beautiful. Views were perfect. There were a few things I think may help others prior to booking or staying:1. There are only 2 extremely flat pillows per bed. They are so flat that together they equal about 1/2 of a normal pillow. No big deal, but bring your own pillow.2. The place has a very musty/stinky smell. At first we didn't know what it was, but we then realized it was related to the air conditioner. Every time we turned the AC on the room filled with the smell of garbage. Hoping the host will have this fixed for the next guests.3. If you have a dog they collect the pet fee outisde of VRBO. I was sketched out by this and reached out to VRBO about it, and it is completely on the up and up. VRBO considers them a trusted partner and it is allowed. That said, the company was a bit rude when I asked about it. They acted like I was trying to get out of paying, which I was not. I think their communication could be better.Overall- it was a good place to stay for cheap. Views were gorgeous and our dog was able to stay. The negatives were outweighed by the positives.

The window air conditioner they had in the unit leaked on the porch which in turn was tracked trough the unit...pictures of the place were deceiving...and the web site needs update...all in all...it didnt destroy our trip but it made me spend more time cleaning than relaxing

Not happy with this stay. The room and linens were dirty and stained. The bathtub barely drained any water. The outdoor furniture was broken.

The online room pictures are not accurate. The room / building has a damp musty smell. The room should have been cleaned better and the entire place needs better up keep.

Needed updating

Very outdated unit, throwback to 1960. There was also a constant smell of marijuana in the hallways and on the deck. Unit is in a very good location.

Every thing was CLEAN, which I really appreciate. The Ocean is “RIGHT THERE”, so super easy to get to the beach which is WHY I go to MB. Bathroom was recently “retrofitted” with a nice clean new tub. Towels and linens are new and fresh. Could stand to have a few more kitchen items (spatulas, tongs, more bowls and dishes, pots and skillets,). The cabinets should probably be updated/replaced as they are a bit musty, but I get it, it’s on the ocean and there is always sea air to deal with. Patio was nice to sit outside on. The building itself (no ding on this condo) is a bit dated and the entrance door seems like entry through a back door, dirty hallways and it just seems like it needs a bit of a refresh. Overall, for the price I paid it is a good value.

Damp room on arrival

When we arrived at 7 p.m. noticed the floor was damp like it was just mopped. We did not touch the A/C unit because the room temperature felt fine. We put our luggage in the room and went to beach. At 9:30 p.m. we went back to the room to settle in and go to bed. When we got back into room is was twice as wet and water dripping from the ceiling. I called and the person told me to turn A/C on below 70 degrees and keep all doors shut. They also sent a maintenance person thay helped us towel dry the entire room, got us new pillow cases, and towels. The room dried out finally after a few hours. We had no idea about the A/C to bet set below 70 or the dampness comes. It was already set to 73 when I arrived and was comfortable. Signs, text message, or email about the 70 degree limit and keep doors closed should be posted to inform guests.

Once inside the unit, we were pleasantly surprised. It was clean and the view was the selling point. The beds were adequate we slept well. The air conditioner tan cold!! Yay! However it was noisy which was helpful only in that it drowned out my son’s snoring. The kitchenette had dishes and silverware and basic cleaning supplies. It had pots and a pan but no cooking utensils. Outside, the building felt bland and dated. The unit was clean and we would go again. Suggestions would be to fully explain codes to enter the building and unit. Also, if you include pots and pans it useful to have tools.

The smell of smoke hit you in the face as soon as you open the door of the main building and the room. However, there were no smoking signs posted everywhere. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided for four days, which was not enough for a family. The listing was very accurate with how it looked and what was off. My son had to put his stuffed animals in bags so they would not hold the smoke smell. The listing was very clean. I would stay here again despite the smell because it was close to the beach and other locations. It seemed safe. The tenants that lived in the building and that were staying in building seemed friendly.

We had a great weekend getaway at the beach! The property was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained — perfect for a relaxing stay. The location was excellent with easy access to the beach and nearby spots. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience, and we’d definitely consider coming back!
