Welcome to Lower Firefly Cottage. A sweet renovated cottage just mins to downtown Asheville. Featuring 3 BR and 2 BA's on the main level (including 2 king bedrooms) and recently finished basement space is bedroom 4 with two trundle beds to sleep 4 more.

Enjoy our covered front and back porches. Back porch has hot tub, tv and electric fireplace for relaxing. Sit around the firepit and roast smores and look at the stars.

Enjoy our shared detached garage with game room and theater.
Absolutely no smoking of any kind. Guests Breaking this rule will be charged $150

I had trouble with the keypad, but my host was very kind and helpful, and got us inside. The whole place feels cozy, and easy to relax in. Outdoor spaces are lovely, and the theatre is pretty neat!

Great house!! We had a hard time the last night because the heat for the house was not running well. I love how easy it was to get places from the house and the ease of texting the hosts was fantastic for the one question that I did ask. Thank you!!

Check-in was easy, and the host was mostly very quick and communicative. Property was as described, but the hot tub was unsanitized and unusable upon arrival. The host did respond within a couple hours and got that fixed, however.

Fantastic stay

Our stay was amazing! The house was really nice and everything was easy to get too and all the toiletries and linens were accessible on the property! The property manager was easy to get a hold of for any and all our questions and was super nice! 10/10 would stay here again

Great location

The location was perfect for our trip to The Biltmore and to explore Asheville. The home was exactly as expected from photos and had plenty of space for our family of 4 plus our dog. Very comfortable living space and beds and well equipped kitchen.

Perfect Weekend Away

We booked this property last minute for a weekend trip. It was very easy to book and check in. The house had everything we needed. It was very comfortable to hang out at and also close enough to Asheville to get out and explore. We all especially loved how comfortable the beds were! I would definitely stay here again!

Our family visited Asheville to celebrate a birthday. This home was exactly as described. It was roomy enough for all of us. The home was clean and comfortable. The kids loved the game room, theater room, and downstairs area. Information from the host was great! We had all of the info we needed for an easy stay from check in to check out!

Great house for the family!

This is a great house for a long weekend in Asheville. The home was clean, comfortable and in the perfect location to all the Asheville activities. The owner was super responsive and incredibly helpful during our stay. Only thing to note is that the house is on a pretty busy street, not an issue but just something to keep in mind if you have kids and/or pets with you. Overall, we had an excellent time and would stay here again!

Cozy family stay for wedding

We stayed in the house as a family for my son's wedding. The house was very cozy and we loved the set up.We had from age 4 to 75. It was so nice and easier to have all under 1 roof than spread out to several hotel rooms. We love the entertaining areas outside for the children to play. We loved the house and all it had to offer for us at all ages. We had a 15 min drive to downtown Ashville. ❤️

Absolutely Perfect!!

My family loved this house so much! It was perfect for my family of six and our goldendoodle. The outside area with hot tub, fireplace, tv and comfy furniture was really fun after a long day. The inside was so pretty. Loved the kitchen and used it a ton! Lots of room to sit and hang out and super comfy beds! Now for the little things that made it special- dog treats on the counter, christmas tree in the den, word search on the wall in the bathroom(so funny!),and the map on the wall that we got to put our pin in! So many great little touches. We would highly recommend!

Not Clean

We had to contact Lisa when we got there because she never sent the check in information to us. We had no door code to get in. When we got ready to go to bed we pulled out the trundle beds downstairs and they were not clean. The sheets and the mattress were both dirty and there were no clean sheets to change them. For the amount we had to pay for one night I would expect a clean bed to sleep in.

Great location!

This property is located within a neighborhood, but on a main road. The driveway is easy to miss. Drivers on the road are going fast and we passed the driveway ups couple times. This property is very roomy. The furnishings are lovely and the beds were comfy. Inside was clean and organized. Bathrooms are small. Master is sufficient, but the second one quite hard to function in. But we survived that. Our only real disappointment was the cleanliness of the patio. Hot tub is large and functions well. Table and couch cushions were covered in pollen and dirt. The remote for the outdoor fireplace was missing, so that was unusable. All in all, we were satisfied with the property.

Had High Hopes

I was really looking forward to this stay over the new year. The property itself was fine, but the communication with the property owner was horrible. Weeks leading up to the stay, I still hadn't heard from her about an early check-in request and I tried 3 different methods of contact (which is also confusing they have so many different guidebooks and links to try and communicate). She was on vacation and said they were short staffed due to the holiday. My suggestion is if you aren't able to properly host your properties due to scheduled holiday vacations, don't rent them out. We were originally told we could have an early check-in, so I planned for that in my travel/arrival. Then I was told the early check-in wasn't possible due to short staff. Then, the property cleaner was still there, for nearly 2 hours, after our regularly scheduled check-in time. We also booked this property because of the hot tub. We were told the hot tub had to be drained due to the previous guests and we weren't able to use the hot tub during our stay- it never fully heated up past a warm bathtub temp. In addition, the house was not properly cleaned (the main bathroom was dirty), there were still dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and many of the dishes in the cabinets were also dirty. The game room power was out and it was really cold in there so we couldn't use. I asked for a discount and never heard back. Overall bad experience and I would not recommend based on my experience.

Nice 3BR house in the outskirts of Asheville

Charming old 3 BR house with lots of updated modern renovations inside. Great for hanging out with friends and family in between activities in the Asheville area. Especially enjoyed the outdoor covered area in the back with hot tub, TV for football, and fire pit.

Weekend in Asheville

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and we loved the decor. The beds were comfortable. The house was perfect for the Asheville activities we had planned. It was approximately 15 min from each location we visited.

I am the mother to three kiddos ages 18, 14 & 12. We are super active family who enjoy running, bike riding, hiking and any other outdoor play we can find. We live just "over the mountain" (3 miles by roads) from the houses so I am available to assist when necessary. I am also a Realtor in Asheville at Preferred Properties.

I bought this property due to easy access and proximity to downtown Asheville. The setting seemed ideal for a vacation rental. We own two house on this property to allow guests to book them together for larger groups.
