Welcome to one of the best locations in Kihei, Kamaole Sands 6-104. Start your Maui getaway here. This 1-bedroom/2-bath unit is perfect for small families or couples.

Kamaole Sands offers amenities for the whole family with a large pool, small children's wading pool, adult and family hot tubs, tennis courts, BBQs, picnic areas, and a fitness center. Directly across from one of the best beaches on Maui, Kamaole III Beach.

As you enter, you are greeted by the spacious feel of this ground floor unit. The kitchen is equipped with plate ware and utensils as well as all of the cooking items any chef would need. There is a perfect dining area for four to enjoy a quick bite or a full meal.

The living area is spacious and inviting, complete with a flat-screen TV along with 2 murphy beds for additional sleeping options.

The spacious lanai offers a great place to lounge or dine alfresco and take in the beautiful garden setting.

The guest bath has been nicely updated and offers a glass-enclosed shower and vanity space.

A stackable washer and dryer allow for lighter packing.

The primary bedroom is decorated nicely with the feel of the island and offers a King bed, ceiling fan, flat-screen TV, and a gorgeous ensuite bathroom with vanity and shower/tub combo.

While we strive to keep all photos up to date, there may be new and updated pieces of furniture or décor that are different than in the original pictures. The functionality, available seating, and sleeping space will remain the same or may improve.

Best condo complex in Kihei

Condo well maintained and very clean. Kamaole Sands property is beautiful and location is in close proximity to all my favorite south Maui beaches. Great variety of dining options.

Great Hawaii Sunsets

Love the location of the property and the way it feels. I have come here several times and it's still well maintained. A great family atmosphere. Plenty of places to just be outside near nature. The condo was well stocked and clean. They had beach chairs, coolers and the location is quiet. Will definitely be returning.

Nice place, needs some upgrades

Overall the condo is nice and the location is very convenient and close to beaches, restaurants, etc.. Some things in the unit need to be updated. Th kitchen chairs all have holes in them and the couch needs to be replaced as it leans so much you can't really sit on it.

Another enjoyable stay at Kamaole Sands

We’ve stayed at Kamaole Sands and many other condominium resorts in Kihei. We like Kamaole Sands for its location, landscaping, BBQ stations, exercise room, pool and especially its people, the employees. This ground floor unit was similar to other ground floor units we’ve stayed in previously. This particular unit is managed by Caldwell-Banker Island Vacations. This was our first experience with CBIV and we were pleasantly surprised. The unit was clean when we arrived, the property manager was communicative and responsive. This location is great if you enjoy going to the Kamaole Beach Parks 1, 2 and 3; walking or driving, and relaxing at the pool. The lanai was very comfortable. No complaints.

Dirty with roaches

Checked in, toilet was full of mildew and mold. Saw several roaches during our stay as well as dead roaches in silverware drawer. AC only in main living area. Wouldn’t cool the bedroom. WiFi only works in main living area. Also wouldn’t reach bedroom. Overall very disappointed in this property. Could be great. Location is great and condo is very nice but not well managed or clean.

Rundown Condo

Visible black mold next to my head in the bedroom. Unpatched holes throughout condo, partially broken dishwasher, insect casings in the corners of walls. You need to supply all your own toilet paper, paper towels, cooking oils, spices etc. Decor is outdated with very dirty, old smelly throw pillows on the couch. We won't be staying here again. Our friends paid the same price for a different condo in the same complex that was decorated very nicely and very clean! It was a night and day difference between the 2 for the same price.

Expected more- old furniture, a lot of dirt under the beds, no internet first day

For what we paid, we expected much more, cleaner unit with more updates. All the furniture had spots and needed just go to dumpster. We had issues with internet, Tv and AC that did not work when we arrived. Under one bed we saw several cord extensions were plugged in each other that can’t be done due to the hazard. We stayed before in the same complex and had a lot of staff for the beach. This unit only had chairs. We will not recommend to stay in this unit and will not do it for sure.

Room not cleaned upon arrival

We arrived to find bed linens hanging in the living room, dirty linens piled on the unmade bed, and linens in the laundry. We had to make up our own beds and do laundry upon arrival. We were not left adequate toilet paper or dishwasher detergent for the duration of the stay. Fortunately, we were refunded the cleaning fee, and were brought more toilet paper, detergent, towels and linens as requested. The response of the management company was appreciated. Overall, the unit is tired - sofa was broken so seat leaned downward/forward and was awkward to sit on. The unit could use updating and a fresh coat of paint, although was functional as is.

First time here

We chose this property because many friends have stayed here multiple times and we were excited about our stay. The communication with the property was good before we arrived. When we arrived the check in was good but it was unclear which gate to come in. We thought we could go directly to our property but we had to check in first. Our unit was usable but very dated and worn...definitely not how pictures show...that was disappointing. The first night our smoke alarm went off 3 times for no reason. We contacted managment and I think it was fixed as it never happened again. The living room couch is breaking and slanting forward so you really can't sit on it at all. Screws actually fell out . We contacted the management but we had try them 4 times before we got a response. Then sent someone to fix it but they put the screws back in but it didnt fix the problem, you still couldn't sit on it. The dining chairs are so uncomfortable and there is only one other seat. The shelving that has the murphy beds has the drawers breaking and falling off. The living room was basically unusable we tried to watch a movie in the bedroom but that TV wouldnt turn on....tried everything. Didnt bother to contact management. We loved the location of the property and the location in the property but definitely would look for another unit to stay in. Very unfortunate but unless things are repaired it is disappointing.

Location is everything!

The only complaint is that check out is 10am and check in is 4pm. It should not take six hours to clean the unit! Furthermore, they hadn’t really swept and moped the floors in quite sometime. Not only lots of sand but also dirt! After waiting so long to check in only to have my socks and then feet filthy black from walking in the unit just 5 minutes later! I contacted management and they sent someone to clean the floors the next day. Made a difference. Suggest new cleaning service

Check in isnt easy . We had to wait long time at front desk. Vrbo we had in kona was better because we could check in by ourselves with the codes. We had an issue with air con and Wi-Fi the first day but we send a text to the owner and a tech came the next day to fix it. To see the ocean and the kamaole sands I think it is better to have another building and be higher... But we had a great time, nice place, very clean !

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed there for two weeks this summer.Location: it's close to the pool, ground floor so you can walk around from the patio. Patio big enough to have breakfast. Patio faces NNW so it's shaded most of the day which is a big plus.The building is quiet, we could not hear neighbors that much.Amenities: the pool is big enough for the kids, there are chairs and most of the time we could find one in the shade. The exercise room is small but it's useful. They have grills in common areas which is a nice touch. Note on the grills: they are slow to heat so it will take longer to cook food. Still useful. Inside:Furniture is a bit old and dated, but clean and functional. Except for the murphy beds, which are new. We have two kids and the murphy beds were life savers. They also have a pull out couch but we didn't need it for sleeping.Kitchen is really well stocked with almost anything you might need if you have to cook. There are pots, pands, utensils, etc. They do not have any oils or condiments left over from previous guests except for salt & pepper. Probably Covid protocols.They didn't give us enough soap, shampoo and garbage bags to last for the two weeks, would have been nice but whatever. I think the only thing that is really needed there is a better working AC in the living. This one was cooling but not enough unless it's working all the time. The bedroom just doesn't have one and due to the design of the condo wasn't getting cool from the living AC.The house also has lots of beach chairs, coolers, beach towels. Another plus: two bathrooms. They are small but have all that's needed.Would we return? Absolutely yes in the winter. In the summer yes if the price is right, but the AC situation made sleeping hard because it was too hot. I think in winter time it will be a bit cooler so this isn't so much of a problem.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: CBV was terrific to deal with, and the condo with 2 twin murphy beds in LR was perfect for our teenagers! Very impressive was the complete lack of bugs, which I was worried about, being on ground level. Very clean and pest free! The only issue was very poor wi-fi at the front of the condo – unfortunately, it didn’t reach the BR! Given the high cellular costs of a family of 4 roaming for 14 days, 3 of us relied on wi-fi connection, and it was a HUGE adjustment not being able to connect from bedroom. The issue wasn’t limited to wi-fi, cellular data was often weak in the bedroom as well – was like the twilight zone?! A couple of steps into the hallway and bam – connection restored! Not sure if a new router would solve the issue, or perhaps a wi-fi extender? Other recommendations for improvement: Allow previous guest leave-behinds to remain in unit. We had 3 condos in total rented at Kamaole Sands, and the other 2 condos had all kinds of things like tin foil, spices, oil, sugar, tea, syrup, pancake mix, misc dry pantry items, condiments, popcorn, sunscreen, etc. In comparison, was disappointing there was absolutely nothing in this condo, other than salt/pepper, plastic wrap, coffee filters, and a snack basket with coffee starter pack. Another suggestion would be to stock the condo with more than just ‘a couple’ dishwasher/washer tablets – one for each night stay would be ideal. Again, I am just comparing this condo to others, all of which provided sufficient cleaning products. To Note: No umbrella/boogie boards (against their policy), no sands toys. Just 4 chairs and coolers. We did leave behind 2 new pool noodles which I hope the cleaners left for the next guests to enjoy.All in all, excellent overall, would rent this unit again and would not hesitate, ever, to rent from Coldwell Banker Vacations, they were great!

Well located close to beaches and restaurants and shopping

Property was very well-maintained all units in great shape had one issue with dishwasher and carburetter and problems resolved within an hour great service. Pool area with multiple hot tubs maintain and in great working order and a staff member around the pool at all times, Not as a lifeguard but to maintain and reinsure proper pool etiquette.

Great Condo!

Our family of four stayed at this rental in February of 2022. The condo was well equipped with beach towels and beach chairs and well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location in the condo complex of this unit was great as it was a 30 second walk to the pool area, which worked well for quick swims in the big pool or dips into one of the two hot tubs. The unit was clean, the TV, Internet and AC seemed to work great and the kitchen was well stocked. The unit has a nice lanai, which was great for enjoying the beautiful weather. The grounds of this condo complex were extremely well kept with BBQ’s, tennis courts, big grassy areas and as mentioned earlier, a nice pool area. This condo complex is directly across from Kamaole 3 beach where you can swim, snorkel, play on the huge grassy area and watch the sunset. It's an easy walk to shopping, coffee and restaurants down the road in Kihei and also close to several amazing beaches in Kihei and Wailea. When we come back to Maui, this would be a top option to stay at again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed a Kamaole Sands several times, and this condo was one of the nicest. 1st Floor was convenient and grass area by the lanai is private and pretty. THe condo was well maintained. When we had a couple minor requests/issues, the management company quickly responded and handled them to our satisfaction.

Property nice unit needs some tlc

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was not happy with the cleanliness of the unit. There was makeup stains for the couch pillows, dished in cabinets did not look or feel clean. We got cleaning supplies to make sure we had a sanitized room. Bugs in lights in the bedroom bath, etc Location of the property is great and the grounds are beautiful

CBIP called and checked to make sure everything was good when we got there. Would stay there again.
