SoCal Daze, a Cozy Bungalow + Parking, Patio, BBQ

SoCal Daze is located in the historic district of Pasadena with charming bungalows. It is one of the 3 units on the lot, accessible through private back alley and comes with ONE dedicated and gated parking.
Equipped with latest technology including wireless charging pads, bluetooth radio, smart speaker and smart TV with over 100 channels and Netflix.
If this unit is not available for your date, check out my other property on the same lot called Elmo Hideout.

My unit was built with the thought of comfort and luxury at the same time. Full kitchen is completed with energy star appliances and have a cozy dining area. Living room has 50` flat screen TV. Hardwood flooring throughout the house and it is thoughtfully decorated with ocean and beach theme, even painted the beach and sky mural on the fence. Seating area outside is shared between 3 houses. The patio has a nice chairs, table with bonfire for cozy evenings, and stainless-steel BBQ grill for your enjoyment.

Very easy to park and easy to commute location.

Guests have access to entire house. Patio and BBQ grill is shared between 3 houses on the lot.

I can usually be reached by phone for specific questions.

Situated in the heart of historical neighborhood called Washington Heights district. Most houses in the neighborhood are historical and preserve nicely.

Gold Line train station that goes to DTLA and across San Gabriel Valley is a mile away. Downtown Los Angeles is 20-30 minutes drive from home.

I have a security camera at the gate and a camera for the backyard

Over 100 years old city with a lot of history. Many houses are built in the early 1900 and preserved nicely.

Comfortable Cottage

This was an excellent location for our stay. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and had a lot of character. Has nice amenities — onsite laundry and courtyard area with a grill. Larry was very responsive to my texts.

We had a great one-week stay at SoCalDaze. We love the property and particularly like the complete kitchen, including a well-stocked spice rack, coffee options, welcome snack package, and on-site laundry. Larry is a great host, communicator and very friendly. We will be back.

Writing Retreat

I booked this vrbo for a writing retreat and it was perfect. It is well equipped for preparing basic meals and everything was very clean and comfortable. Larry was always helpful when I had a question and the location is quite walk-able to shops and restaurants on Lake St. I would certainly stay here again!

First of all, Larry was super thorough as far as letting us know the details to get us started, ie, key codes, location, etc. When we got there, our impression was that it looked like a small charming village. When we stepped into the unit, we were even more delighted as it was super clean with all the amenities that we needed to spend a week there. Absolutely loved our stay.

Rose Bowl stay at SoCal Daze

Had a fantastic 4 days here. Location for us was perfect; loved walking around the neighborhood and to local businesses, as well as Rose Bowl events and game. Great space and location!

Very pleased with my stay here. The host was most gracious and helpful. This bungalow is well-kept and had every amenity I needed--even ironing board and iron. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Pasadena!

Loved our VRBO. Larry was an excellent host and the house was in the perfect location. Centrally located near everything in Pasadena. Well appointed, Cute, Warm Environment

This is a well-appointed little house that is great for one or perhaps two people. It has everything you need, as well as nice touches like a fully decked out spice rack. There was also a nice welcome basket as snacks waiting for us. The decorations give the house a welcoming environment. The location is great. It's in a secure area but still fairly close to the Carnegie Observatories. I recommend this property.

Cutest place ever!

In addition to being spotless, comfortable, in a great location, thoughtfully (and completely!) equipped, etc., Larry has imbued the cottage with a wonderful sense of whimsy and fun. Pictures alone can’t convey how much fun it is to stay here! Can’t wait to go back. The only downside was we didn’t see enough of Tito, Larry’s adorable dog.

I loved the. Decorations. The house was clean and friendly. Yes a house can feel friendly! Warm and inviting. My own home was getting a termite tent and my dog & cat and had to leave. But this place and the hosts kind answers helped me feel secure. So instead of worrying for three days. I relaxed! How nice it was!

Lovely, Well Stocked Little House

The owner of this great property is a pro at taking care of his guests. The property was very well maintained, clean and very nicely decorated. Two small houses and a smaller laundry house were great. The weather around New Years Day was cold and rainy we were there for a full week and were happy with our accommodations. Our host gave very specific directions on how to find the property as it was at the end of an alley with a locked gate. We had trouble as there were two sections of the alley by the same name and blocks apart. It was our lack of ability to navigate but we eventually with the help of VRBO got in direct contact with Larry and found our way. Again, not his fault as he had sent a text before our check in time and my husband didn’t see it. This host and the tiny house village he has created was great, secure and has parking. He was very responsive to our needs and clearly takes great care of his guests. He is also a really nice guy. We would stay there again.

Wonderful Little Bungalow

My husband and I arrived at the bungalow after 11 hours on the road. We were so happy to find that Larry's home was clean, comfortable and contained all of the little things that we had forgotten to bring. Larry kindly checked in with us to make sure that we had everything we needed and was also available to help with directions, places to eat etc. He truly goes the extra mile.

A perfect retreat!

My husband and I stayed here at SoCalDaze for a weekend dance event. Let me be 100% honest...this spot was BETTER than the pictures, and the pictures are awesome! Larry was excellent with his communication, instructions were detailed and clear. We arrived and walked in to a clean, cozy, comfortable little retreat. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and bedding were immaculate and had a fresh, clean smell. The bathroom was spotless. Not even a stray hair in the bathtub!! The kitchen had everything a person would need to cook at home or enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. (We didn't use the kitchen much, as we were out most of the days) Add to all this some nice snacks, the ability to watch Netflix without needing to login to our own accounts, and listen to music, and this was 100% the perfect spot for us this weekend. If we come back to the Pasadena area, we will absolutely book in here again. Thank you so much to Larry for such a comfortable place to rest and relax!

Location! Details! Location!

The location was perfect for the festival we attended at the Rose Bowl; easy to get to the venue and downtown Pasadena! The cottage had everything we needed plus things we didnt know we might need. Larry was quick to respond to the few questions I had and his check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. I'll be looking for reasons to come back for another stay.

SoCal Daze Hidden Gem!!!

Let me start with Larry the host was very pleasant and easy to deal with and his listing is so much more than what you see on VRBO. The neighborhoods are all lined with trees and so beautiful and quiet. You can see the mountains but yet walk about 30 mins or so and be in downtown Pasadena which has the greatest architecture to look at on all the buildings. There are so many great places to eat and listen to live music, the vibe is great. And after you have enjoyed your day out and about you get to come back to the cutest most comfortable, peaceful spot. You really only ned to bring yourself and your clothes, Larry has made sure everything else is taken care of. It was the perfect size for myself and spouse and the bed was super comfy. The outside seating area was very spacious and a few steps away is a on site laundry. If you are looking for spacious, cozy, quiet and relaxing this is your spot. And I would suggest walking into town since there are so many great things to see. Don't pass up the chance to stay at SoCal Daze!!!!!! We will definitely be back, we go to events in Burbank and it was the perfect spot for a mini getaway. our stay was April 22nd-24th 2022

Excellent stay

The property was very welcoming. Patio area was so cute with a mural of the ocean and beach theme decor. Inside had wonderful attention to detail. Larry provides everything you might need.

Great spot, can’t wait to stay again!

We really enjoyed our time here. The place is in a great location but feels comfy and secluded! The house was the perfect size for 2 of us and worked great to work from home. The outside area is also really nice for working, eating, or hanging out. We’ll definitely be booking here next time we’re in town!
