Wonderful Willows Stay

My contact person was very friendly and sent information requested about location. Our arrival began with a lovely welcome basket in the bright cheery kitchen. The Willows was all that we needed. Beautiful, shaded courtyard in a quiet neighbourhood. We needed walking distance to Old Pasadena/Convention Centre and it was a lovely 20 minute walk.We would definitely book at The Willows again for the friendly service, pleasantlocation and clean inviting accommodation.

8 weeks at The Willows

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented the Willows during an 8-week temporary work assignment. It was exactly as described and fit my needs perfectly. I brought my small dog and the neighborhood was very nice to walk around - felt safe even late at night. The off street parking is very convenient to have.(I have a very small car so the tandem parkers next to the assigned spot didn't bother me, but I can see that it would be difficult for some. Not really something the management has any control over though.) Washer/dryer, internet, cable, and kitchen appliances all worked without any problems. The kitchen is stocked like a typical short-term rental (plenty of corkscrews and wine glasses but not enough measuring cups or pans.) It's definitely workable. Don't count on sleeping someone on the pull out sofa, very very uncomfortable. You're better off with a blow up mattress. However, the bed is very comfortable and there are plenty of linens, pillows, etc. The management team always stayed in touch and were very prompt with any communications. I didn't have any problems during my stay, but I'm sure they would have responded to anything very quickly.

This rental was perfect for my needs. Very clean, comfortable bed, cute place convenient to central Pasadena and very short walking distance to a grocery store. Also the company that manages the rental was very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

The Willows

Stayed at The Willows for a month before moving into our new home. Positives are: handy location, quiet street, comfortable bed and air conditioning, reliable internet connection. Some fixtures and appliances are a bit dated and worn, but functional: clothes dryer, dishwasher, bathtub. No real workspace and dining table and chairs are very small, so computer work is a bit awkward. Couch (futon) is very hard (uncomfortable).

We appreciate you sharing your review. We are so glad that the location worked out for you and also feel badly that the bedding wasn't sufficient. When we had checked the home and we believed there was enough bedding for your extra guests. Unfortunately, the extra bedding was for a twin size bed and not the full size pull out. We did come over within an hour of your call and provide fresh new linens for the extra guests. We completely understand this was an inconvenience to you and worked to fix as soon as you let us know! We are sorry this tarnished your view of the bungalow. We are glad that you got to enjoy a great time so close to the Rose Bowl and parade and have made sure we double check bedding sizes and ensure that the bungalow is extra clean! We welcome you back should your team come again!!

The apartment is in a very centralized location, is spotlessly maintained, and is close to everything we wanted to do in Pasadena. The amenities are exactly as advertised. I would definitely recommend this property to any friends or relatives. The managers could not have been nicer and more helpful. They responded to all questions immediately and thoroughly. Our favorite attractions in Pasadena are the Norton Simon Museum and the Huntington library and gardens. I would definitely recommend staying at the Willows if you are ever in Pasadena.

The Willows on Ashtabula

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property worked great for us. It is very clean and well equipped on the inside. The outside shared area could be cleaned up. The management company is great to work with. It was nice to have a parking spot but it was very hard to access because the spot before they tandem park 2 large cars. The location is OK, really not far from everywhere you want to visit in Pasadena but definitely not an area you would want to walk around in.

Pasadena Pad

Reviewer Comments: The condo looks like it was remodeled in the past few years, which is nice. The place is compact, but well laid out to not feel cramped. I stayed a week in July, when the weather was 100 degrees each day. The AC unit is in the bedroom with no direct cooling in the living/kitchen area. I wish there was a standing fan available to pull air from the bedroom to the living room because there was a dramatic temperature difference between the two. Although the living room was warmer than I would have preferred, it was still significantly better than the outside heat. The kitchen is well organized and everything (microwave, oven, coffee pot, fridge) worked well and was easy to operate. The only negative was there was a bit of a sugar ant problem in the kitchen. Fortunately, they seemed confined to the kitchen as I didn't see them anywhere else. I used a bit of the bleach cleaner (provided under the sink) to kill many of them. For the most part, they weren't an issue and I didn't have any problem with them invading my food. The washer & dryer are outside on the patio. Being from Oregon, this was unimaginable to me. The units are nice and worked very well when I did a load of laundry. The condo is located in a nice are within walking distance of Winchell's, a local burger place, and a small grocery store. It's also just a five minute drive from Paseo Colorado. Overall, I would recommend this place and would stay there again in the future.

My daughter-in-law slept on the futon and she said it was comfortable, as was my bed. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The bathroom makes great use of limited space. I have stayed in another bungalow in the same complex 3 times, and wanted to see The Willows. Both are unique, comfortable and well stocked.The location is fantastic for our family, but anyone would appreciate the ease on/off the freeways and major streets. Grocery shopping at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods covers all you need. Paseo Colorado has a wonderful theatre and superb dining. We went to The Huntington Library/Gardens twice - I'd go every day if I could! For a special treat, the Sunday Brunch at the Langham is a must do!I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Nice place, but smaller than it looks

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a nice place. They make great use of space - it is kind of like an Ikea mini-house show room inside. The living/room kitchen is about the size of a small garage that could fit a pair of priuses without too much room to get around them. I didn't really mind that except the pictures made it look much bigger to me. This I provide just for information, not a complaint.My only complaint is the choice of living room sofa/sleeper. That thing is impossible to get comfortable on as a couch. You can't really sit back and watch TV the way it is intended. And it is only passable as a bed. I would replace that thing with a real futon couch and add an end table so you can relax with a drink. We ended up standing around to take our toast and coffee in the morning because that was better than trying to get comfortable on the "couch".
