Freshly Updated 5th-Floor Oceanfront 1-Bedroom Condo!

Welcome to our 5th-floor, updated oceanfront condo, where happiness comes in waves! 244 Sandcastles is located in the beautiful Amelia Island Plantation (AIP), a world-class gated community where visitors will find 3.5 miles of quiet beaches, 6 miles of biking and walking trails, as well as the possibility of golf, tennis lessons and spa treatments.

Our one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo is the perfect romantic getaway or a luxurious single's retreat. It boasts a fully equipped kitchen, large windows with beautiful views throughout, a modernized bathroom, and a completely private, spacious balcony facing the Atlantic Ocean. The Sandcastles complex also has an oceanside pool and a direct path out to the sand.

Guests can easily walk next door to the Omni Amelia Island Resort, located within the AIP. Dining, shopping, and spa services are offered through the Omni, both at the hotel and at a nearby shopping village. Altogether, the AIP sprawls across 1,340 acres and is truly a paradise of maritime forests, tidal salt marshes and pristine, sandy beaches.

High-speed wireless internet is provided for the modern traveller's convenience. There are also two flat screen televisions in the unit as well, one in the living room and the other in the bedroom. Note that the community laundry rooms are located on the 2nd and 6th floors (this condo is on the 5th floor.)

As part of this rental, a custom digital guidebook is provided with thorough property information and our local area guide sharing favorite restaurants, attractions, and more! Excitingly, our guests are also eligible to receive a 15% discount on beach gear rentals.

244 Sandcastles will be awaiting your visit, and we will gladly answer any questions about area activities and our amenities!

*Please be advised this private property is not a rental through the Omni Amelia Island Resort and does not give you access to "resort privileges or amenities” (i.e. the main Omni hotel pool, fitness center or shuttle service), and Racquet Park is limited only to club members and their guests. However, all three Beach Wood complex pools and the resort dining, shopping, bike rentals, spa services, and parks are accessible with this stay. We will gladly answer any questions about area activities and our amenities!

Great place and fantastic view!

This was a great place overall! easy to check in, was clean and the view of the beach was awesome! Only thing would be to get a pizza cutter :-). Will definitely be back!

better than advertised.. comfortable clean and felt very safe. beautiful grounds/resort area. nice small town with a few good restaurants. not too busy in mid-october.. will definitely recommend this week and this location.

Wonderful

Super clean cozy condo. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Easy walk to the beach nice pool and a short drive to a historic downtown full of restaurants. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean and nice. We had a problem with coffee maker and someone came right up and replaced it. It was very relaxing and quiet. We will be back!!

Quiet and Secure

The property is private and nestled in a well maintained location. Property Representatives were super helpful in assisting with suite entry instructions as we arrived later than expected. The suite was very pleasant. We also enjoyed the basket of treats provided by the Resort.

Shout out to the property group (Destination Amelia). When there was an issue, they promptly resolved it with ongoing communication until it was fixed. The condo is very nice with a great location close to OMNI restaurants and shops.

Wonderful Beach Property

The listing photos although accurate do not live up to how nice this place is in real life. My wife and I were celebrating our birthdays and wanted to be right on the beach with a beautiful balcony view. This condo checked those boxes and many more. The property management was excellent and the communication was detailed and spot on. What a great vacation spot in the beautiful gated oak tree lined Omni grounds. The property had everything we needed and was a short walk to the beach. We are already discussing a return trip in 2026. We have been to Amelia Island several times and this was by far our favorite property. Book with confidence, the property is a 5 star.

View of ocean, nice balcony, comfy furniture and bed. Well stocked kitchen and smoke towels. Only suggestion is to provide trial size shampoo and conditioner and shower soap which were not provided.

Gorgeous view, almost a private beach

My wife and I wanted to get away to the beach for a few days and this was the perfect place. The condo was clean and well equipped with a wonderful ocean view. We sat in our chairs on the beach and stared at the waves and the beautiful sunrises. Long walks in the surf picking up interesting shells as we went. We stayed for three full days and the most people we saw on the beach in front of the condo (besides us) was 8 with four of these just passing by.

Beautiful corner unit

We enjoyed our stay. We were surprised that there was no coffee or tea in the unit and that the washer/dryer we had expected was public and not in the unit. We would have liked more bath towels given the length of our stay. Otherwise the condo was great.

Great condo. Great location. Great view.

My wife and I had a great vacation and a great stay in this condo. The view was simply amazing. Loved the area too. The beach was wonderful and not at all crowded. The pool was really nice. Even though it was Spring Break time, neither the beach or the pool were ever crowded. There are also a good number of great restaurants close to the condo. The only small knock that I can think of is that I wish it was a little closer to Fernandina Beach, where there are many more restaurants and activities, but then you have more crowds, sooooo.....I'll take the nice quiet, relaxing beach and pool every time.

A good get-away

The condo was clean, well-equipped and comfortable. The only negative was the lack of information regarding what channels were available on the tv and how to access them. Otherwise, everything was fine. Fortunately we had no reason to contact the prooperty manager.
