Welcome to MANISTEE’S HEAVEN! This waterfront, ranch home has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and is more than a cabin or cottage... it is a real Lake Michigan paradise! Enjoy the 3 season sunroom, great Hickory Kitchen, living room with 55" Roku tv (with cable), a Master bedroom with remodeled attached bath - plus 2 other bedrooms, one with a queen and the 3rd with a queen and twin bunks. NEW in 2024, guests will be able to enjoy a NEW expanded master shower, NEW living room furniture, NEW outdoor deck, and NEW well, roof, and skylights. Best of all, you will enjoy a brand NEW PRIVATE (year-round) HOT TUB overlooking Lake Michigan! Lastly, there's no need to be concerned about ever losing power, as a whole-house generator was installed in 2023.

While at MANISTEE’S HEAVEN, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a bonfire at your private fire pit - just steps from the house. Can you think of a better ending to a day than watching the sun set or stars appear - all while roasting marshmallows over the campfire?

With 60 steps down to the beach and resting spots along the way, this brand new staircase (installed March of 2022) is a rare Lake Michigan asset! In addition to the stairs, we have a deeded walk-out private beach WITH NO STEPS that can easily be accessed by car or foot - just one driveway to the north.

Want more excitement... gear up for river trips, charter fishing, world-class golf, casino excitement, an airplane ride, or visiting the largest giant sequoia east of the Rocky Mountains (just two minutes away). With all there is to do - or not do - this will be the spot you will want to return to again and again.

In the event of winter travel, guests should drive an all-wheel or 4-wheel-drive vehicle as the driveway is steep and can be icy even after being plowed.

Additionally, the property allows up to three house-trained dogs. The cost to bring dogs along is $20/day per small dog (less than 50 lbs) or $30/day per large dog (50 lbs or more).

It was the perfect location for a family gathering with our adult kids and grandson and grandpup with comfortable room for all, easy access to long walks on the beach, and solid wifi for those that needed to work.

50th Anniversary Family Weekend

Home was clean and comfortable, with beautiful views and direct access to the beach. Kitchen had most everything you could need, including pots, pans, dishes, grilling tools, etc. Worked out perfect for our family get-together of 7.

We loved the property and the privacy it provided for our family. We definitely give the place a 5* rating. This was our first time on the Lake and in this part of the country and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the view (the sunsets were breathtaking), the private beach, the stairway to the beach with sitting areas, and the proximity to the area. It was a wonderful space for our family to gather and enjoy each other’s company.

Great Beach house

Everything is here. Pack your clothes and the food you want to eat and go. Owners very responsive. Beach nice and several other features nearby. Loved every minute.

Had a great time at a lovely property with amazing views of Lake MI. Hosts were extremely hospitable and house had everything we needed. Loved being able to sit in hot tub while looking out at Lake MI. Great weekend!

Beautiful beach and sunsets

This is a wonderful place to stay if you like the beach and sunsets! The property inside and out is maintained nicely and is equipped with everything you could possibly want in a vacation home. Even coffee! We stayed for a long weekend, 6 adults and 3 dogs and it was very comfortable and the dogs loved running on the beach and swimming. We will be back!

Beautiful place with gorgeous views!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay! We enjoyed our days there with peaceful walks on the private beach, playing at the beach with our son and dog, and beautiful views of the lake from the secluded yard. The sunsets were incredible too! The house is very clean and includes all you would need from kitchen essentials to beach toys. The host has great communication and really thought of everything when it comes to hosting a perfect stay. Thank you for sharing your special place with us!

Manistee Getaway

This property is all about the views and access to the private beach. The house is clean and comfortable. Sort of like staying at a family member or friend's house. No frills. But once you walk out to the wooden overlook or walk down the stairs with direct beach access, you will understand why so many visitors give Manistee's Heaven such excellent reviews. Would stay there again just to be able to listen to the water or watch the sunset in complete silence from that deck.

Awesome Getaway on Lake Michigan with Hot tub!

We loved this vacation! The home was very nicely updated and clean. The hot tub is new and very spacious. We loved that in the evening when the air cools down on the lake. The air conditioning in the house is top notch so we were very comfortable at night. The kids loved the sunroom to warm up after swimming and they loved having a room with bunk beds. The home has a water softener, and the water quality was great, (as we have had several lake house rentals with water quality problems in the past). The house overlooks the beach with an amazing view. There are stairs right down to your own section of beach, shared with another home. It was nice having privacy away from the public beach. We brought both of our dogs, who were allowed. They are not allowed in the bedrooms, which was not a big deal, as they are kenneled at night time. :) They had such a fun time playing in the lake. The lake water was warm this week, at about 70F. We were able to rock hunt along the shore with the kids each day. We went into town (just a few minute drive) one of the days and went to a chocolate store for ice cream and to some antique shops. We found a mini-golf place afterward. There are several grocery stores within 3 miles of the house, so it is very quick to run to town for supplies. I highly recommend this vacation house and cannot wait to return!

Family Michigan lake getaway

Overall it was a fantastic property - great location in Manistee area, great amentities (deck, hot tub and stairs to beach) and perfect house for our needs. We loved our stay and had a great time. Our dog loved it also.

When we first visited the property, it took us almost an hour to make it inside the home as we were captivated by the views, beach, and everything this home has to offer!
