Great House on the River

Loved our stay here. It was a great location for our needs and a lovely home. We were very comfortable and especially enjoyed relaxing in the back enclosed sunroom overlooking the river. The hosts thought of everything and there wasn’t anything we needed that they didn’t have. Will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.

Enjoyable visit!

We enjoyed our time at the River Home and had a great stay. It's centrally located so you can quickly get to most Fox Valley areas. Nice river views from the backyard or from the relaxing 4 season room. Hawk's Nest pub/grill nearby is convenient for eating and drinks. We enjoyed our stay!

Family vacation

We enjoyed this house on the river! Beautiful house with plenty of room to relax with family. Enjoyed listening to live music from the venue next door!

Home away from Home

This home was a delight. Full of character, beautiful setting on the rivers edge, everything you need. We spent a week staying here and travelled back and forth to EaaAirventure at Oshkosh. Perfect base. Nicole and Paul were wonderful hosts. Thank you

Vacation

Nicole and Paul were really sweet introducing themselves and spending some time on places to visit. The house was good and comfy. Possibly suggest reading lamps in bedrooms but other than that it was awesome and nice to have the washer and dryer

Great for EAA Airventure in July

House was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. Lots of space for family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Comfortable back porch had a great view of the water. Location was convenient to grocery, coffee shop, and restaurants. Owner communicated very well with me. Would stay here again for Airventure. Oshkosh is a 30 min drive which was an acceptable commute to us to escape the week of 500,000+ visitors.

Wonderful property!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this home. The best part were the great hosts! Very personable w/excellent communication and offering local recommendations to ensure you had an enjoyable stay. Home is tastefully decorated and kitchen well-equipped for any cooking needs. Loved the back enclosed sunroom where you could relax w/your morning coffee and watch the river sunrise. Beds were comfortable and the huge living room sectional great for sprawling out and watching TV. A real bonus was the Hawk’s Nest Bar & Grill next door which we visited several times. It’s a quiet neighborhood place for mature patrons (no rowdiness here) with good food and great conversation w/local folks.

Work trip with my family

We really enjoyed staying at the house in Little Chute. It was centrally located to the places we wanted to go & very easy to get to. My favorite room was the back enclosed porch, I would go out there every morning & enjoy the view of the water. My family loved the large sectional, it worked perfectly for family movie nights. I was there for business, so it was nice that there was a pool nearby for my husband to take the kids. The hammock swing on the front porch was also a big hit with us! Great for afternoon naps.

Great Property - Great Owners!

A well cared for, great location property! Very clean and comfortable beds! While the reason for our visit to Appleton was not the best the property made for a wonderful retreat. We had 5 adults and the house easily accommodated all of us. The back porch was a great morning coffee spot and the table on the deck made for a great evening conversation and unwinding spot. The best part though is the owners. They obviously care about the property and their guest well being. Nicole reached out a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed. You don't see that very often in VRBO's! We will look to stay again next year!

Hidden gem along the Fox River.

We stayed for about two weeks at this perfect home along the Fox River. It’s a great location to get to Appleton and surrounding areas easily with highway access not too far away and the bar next door is a welcomed addition to a vacation with live music, food and friendly folks to chat with while enjoying a drink. Bar owner, staff and patrons are very friendly. If you prefer to be more secluded in your leisure time, the property has a finished sun porch area that is great for sitting to see the water while still inside, as well as seating on the outdoor porch, and chairs near the water and a fire pit. We took advantage of many of the home amenities including the BBQ, washer/dryer, multiple kitchen appliances (thank you), cards/cribbage board, fast internet (we were working remotely and had no issue doing so from the property) and appreciated having the small details included like trash bags, ziplocs, salt/pepper, etc. It really felt like we were at a home instead of a rental, it is clear the owners take great care of the property and look out for every detail to make folks feel comfortable. Home was VERY clean, linens were new, ample towels and pillows and the style of the home is a great mix of enjoying the history of a 100+year old home and trendy new additions (owners definitely have great decorator taste). Absolutely will be back and will recommend this hidden gem to anyone else looking for a great place to stay in the Appleton/Little Chute area. Owners were very kind and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.

Amazing stay!

The host was very responsive, friendly and accommodated to our needs. The property was very nice and clean. A nice place for family and friends to hangout. Would definitely Book again and recommend!
