If you're for nice quiet place to stay with the family then look no further! The neighborhood is very laid back with lots of room between houses. This house is set at the back of its lot which gives you a giant front yard to play in. There are two small decks perfect for morning coffee. The inside of the house has a comfortable, welcoming feel. Overall, nice country type charm.

This home was impeccable! Anything you would need was ready and waiting. The hosts were easy to talk with and did everything they could possibly do to accommodate our needs!! I would happily stay there again on my next trip!!

Quiet, clean, well-stocked kitchen.

Very clean home on a large lot with plenty of privacy from neighbors. We stayed five nights and did an ATV tour, fished the Knik River with a guide. (no fish caught in early July) Drove to Talkeetna for an airplane tour over Mt Denali. And then ventured down to Seward for two nights. Layout of the home was different than what we expected. No master bath; second bathroom is on opposite side of house. We had two adult boys and myself and boyfriend. Kitchen has everything you need. Comfortable beds, games available and a printer with paper!Sofa is super comfortable. I brought sleep masks for my sons, but they didn’t use them. The blinds in the bedrooms blocked most of the light. Overall, a wonderful home to stay in.

True home away from home

We had a fantastic stay in this house. Absolutely everything we could have needed was there--Alaska information galore, laundry and fans to clean up and dry out after adventures, spices for cooking. And many things beyond--beautiful flowers! Ice-cream maker! The place is immaculately kept. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

This home was absolutely beautiful inside and out. The decor was all about Alaska. All the little things were thought of and the owners left a very helpful manual which listed local cuisine and excursions. Also answered any questions that we may have had about the property.

Quiet Alaskan Retreat

We booked this home for two weeks so we could enjoy family who live nearby, fishing, and a wedding! I will definitely book here again. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, seasonings, and appliances one could ever need. We loved sitting by the window while eating breakfast and seeing all the little birds come to the feeder. It rained for most of our stay, but we still enjoyed sunny afternoons on the front deck. The beds were comfy. Cynthia, the owner, was super easy to communicate with and very helpful with local information. It was the perfect place for all five of us!

We had a great stay at Cindy’s place. The house was very comfortable and we even entertained 6 other people one night for dinner and had plenty of plates and silverware! The grounds are beautiful and loved having coffee in the am and looking out into the front yard!

Beautiful Alaskan Home

Loved the home! Beautiful Alaskan decor throughout the home made it really cozy! Beautiful flowers outside. Nice quiet neighborhood. Loved the area, close to the mountains. This host is wonderful. Great communication, provides us with ideas, places to see, good restaurants etc Provides a welcome basket! Very sweet! Would definitely stay here again! The weather was a plus - gorgeous!

We stayed here to all be together for a family wedding! It was the perfect spot for us to hang out after a day of sightseeing or visiting with a big group. We really appreciated the entire place!

Had a great stay at your property. Had plenty of room for everyone. Property was in a great location for our outings to sightsee SE Alaska without being stuck in a city. Cynthia was very helpful and easy to get in touch with. The "House book" was very helpful, with suggestions on local resturants and events. Lots of great art work and tastefully decorated. Alaska adventure with grandchildren

House was wonderfully clean, decorated, stocked, and well communicated from owner. It was a perfect location for our adventures, both north to Denali, west to glacier dog sledding, south to river fishing. We would recommend this home to anyone wanting to see Alaska.

quiet and comfortable

This house was a cozy and quiet space. We enjoyed the many kitchen appliances and cookware. The bedrooms could use some mirrors and the bathroom off of the laundry room could use an outlet for a hair dryer but other than that, it was overall a nice experience!

Everything you need is in the house. Can't think of anything we needed that was not there.The house was clean and the master bedroom was very large with a King bed. The other two bedrooms were smaller but both had Queen beds in them.Great kitchen with dish washer and all the other items you would ever need. Washer/dryer worked well. Only problem we had was a sulfur smell in the water which was caused by an unusually dry spring and summer.

Nice and cozy

Beautiful property, very well maintained. Quiet neighborhood. Prime location with easy access to surrounding tourist attractions and local activities outside of Anchorage. The host, Cynthia, was very attentive and responsive during our entire stay. Not being used to the summer time in Alaska, I texted a question at 11:30pm, and she responded right away. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Wonderful!

This house was perfect for my family and me! We had a wonderful time in Alaska and this home was a large reason why. It was so warm and comfortable to return to at the end of the day. Cynthia was awesome and so accommodating!

We are Tony and Cynthia Jacobson, a lifelong Alaskan couple who raised three beautiful girls in this home. After they grew up and flew the coop we decided to continue the good life in remote Alaska. This gave us the chance to offer our Wasilla home, filled with our extensive Alaskan art, artifact and literature collections, as a vacation rental. Tony is a private pilot and we travel back and forth from our home near Skwentna, Alaska in our Cessna 180 with our silly beloved yellow lab Dog. We love the idea of sharing our love of everything Alaska with you!

Raven's Flight, nestled in the foothills of the Talkeetna Mountains, is just minutes from a wide variety of Alaskan activities. The Skeetawk Ski Resort and the Historical Hatcher Pass Independence Mines are only a few miles up the road. You won't need to go far to get up close and personal with nature, fishing, hiking, birdwatching, wildlife viewing, flight/sightseeing, foraging, rock hounding, mountain and rock climbing and glacier viewing opportunities abound! Outdoor enthusiasts will find white water rafting groups for hire and watercraft, snowmachine and ATV rentals. The opportunities for adventure are unlimited. Working while you vacation? We offer a dedicated work space with desk, office chair and printer in a quiet hallway away from the main living area.

We chose to live in the foothills of the Talkeetna Mountains because we wanted our kids to grow up close to nature and the outdoors, yet still close to their schools and the urban amenities. We feel that makes this a great location for a vacation rental as well, a place to relax between exploration and adventures, rural and urban; we also offer a dedicated work space if you need to work while you play!
