Truly the best of the mountains and the lake, this brand new custom Mountaineer log home, built by Joe Dixon, is a luxurious home away from home and is ready for your next Deep Creek vacation! Located in the prestigious, gated Deep Creek Highlands community, Off the Deep End is a private retreat just minutes from lake access (with a dock slip), golf, Adventure Sports Center International (ASCI) and WISP resort. The spacious main level features cathedral ceilings, professional decorating and a wall of windows with scenic mountain-top views. The great room includes a stone gas fireplace, 75" smart tv with sound bar and a large custom wet bar to unwind after a busy day of activity. There is ample seating for everyone, with a game table, kitchen breakfast bar and oversized dining room table. The open floor plan is ideal for entertaining and the fully equipped chefs kitchen is beautifully finished with granite counters, large island, extra large sink, two Bosch dishwashers, two full sized refrigerators and large pantry. Off of the kitchen with its own access to outside is a large mud room and laundry room, with heated tile floor and plenty of storage for jackets, boots, gloves and hats. The covered porch off of the mud room includes space to store your skis. Sliding doors off of the great room open to a large covered patio with hot tub, rocking chairs, gas grill and table and chairs, perfect for outdoor dining. Throughout all four seasons, you'll have total privacy to enjoy nature and its pristine surroundings! Sliding doors off of the dining room open to a large covered porch, with stone wood burning fireplace and lounge seating. Another large covered porch is located at the front of the house. The professionally landscaped property includes a hard surface driveway with parking for six vehicles and a fast, universal Electric Vehicle charger, with free access to renters. Step out from the main floor to the flat, wooded yard with a wood burning fire-pit, perfect for enjoying your coffee in the morning, wine at sunset, star gazing and S'Mores anytime! Off the Deep End features six bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 14 adults. On the main level, the owners suite includes a king bed, walk-in closet, smart tv, large bath with walk-in shower, bubbler tub and heated tile floor. Attached to the owners suite is an office with separate access to the patio and great room. Three of the four second floor bedrooms feature king beds, ensuite bathrooms and smart tv's. The fourth bedroom on the second floor is a bunk room with an ensuite bathroom and smart tv. The bunk room includes a queen bed with XL bunk above and two additional XL bunks. The oversized second floor loft functions as a second office, activity space and library. Adults can work and kids can play around a large table with six stools. Two comfy chairs with ottomans and bookcase provide the ideal spot for reading a good book or taking that much deserved afternoon nap! Located in the prestigious Deep Creek Highlands community, you will have access to a tennis court, playground and picnic pavilion ~-all within walking distance of this house. Outside of the gates, the top of WISP mountain is minutes away ~-take your first run of the day without having to wait for a ski lift. In addition to skiing, WISP is known for its year-round recreation ~-ziplines, snow tubing, golf and the mountain coaster are just a few of the options. In the summer months, your community lake access area can be reached via a hiking trail or short car ride and features dock, as well as picnic areas and bathrooms. Be sure to visit Deep Creek Lake State Park. They have a sandy beach with lifeguards, picnic areas, playgrounds and canoe and kayak rentals. You can also take kids to the Discovery Center that is home to hands-on exhibits about the local, natural environment. Park staff often have great activities like guided hikes and tours of the aviary. Marinas with boat rentals, restaurants, shops, mini golf and more are all within ten-minutes or less. The central location of this house puts you in the middle of everything, but removed from the traffic and congestion, in your own private oasis! Off the Deep End is the perfect place for your next trip to Deep Creek Lake, and looking forward to fun and relaxation with friends and family!
