We had a wonderful stay at At Lake's Edge - the property was beautiful and it had all the amenities we needed. It very comfortably fit 12 people. Would highly recommend and I'd stay here again!

Perfect house for our use.

Overall nice house. There were cuts in some of the furniture but didn't stop use from using them .

The house itself was nice, though a bit dated. Two burners on the stove were not functioning, and the gas fireplace was inoperable upon our arrival. The rental company did send someone promptly, and while the fireplace was briefly restored, it unfortunately stopped working again within an hour. Additionally, the dining table had only seven chairs, which made seating a bit challenging for our group for Thanksgiving dinner - we had to bring in a chair from outside.

Great location but some shortcomings

We loved the location and convenience to the commercial district; however there were several things about the home that were deficient or unacceptable. The fold out couch on the first floor was unusable so the occupancy of the place was 14, not 16, so two of our guests had nowhere to sleep; we could not get the gas fireplace to operate (no written instructions); the gas grill was in very poor condition; the second and third floor thermostat was in a poor location; we were told no fire pits but we saw a least four of them on the properties; the bathroom layout was poor (5 bedrooms had their own bathroom and six people had to share one bathroom).

Family Vacation

House was clean and very spacious. Furniture pieces were worn (big tear in ottoman). Our whole family came which was great. Kitchen was nice to cook in - we stayed in for dinner. We really would have loved a fire pit out back but were not permitted to use it which we were not aware of when we booked. We even had firewood ordered for delivery. There was a boat in our dock space ALL week which I called about but never received an answer that was a problem since we couldn’t leave our boat there that we rented. The location was perfect for different excursions we scheduled for day trips. Floor boards are very noisy in the upstairs bedrooms if you are trying to get babies to sleep. But all in all the place was very nice.

Family Fun!

We had a great family reunion in this home with easy access to the water. We spent most of our time on the lake. There were privacy concerns with the internet and the kitchen cookware and utensils were dismal. We finally found dining flatware stored in a bowl in the living room cabinet. Living room seating was quite worn and uncomfortable, but most beds were ok. This home definitely had a "lived in" feeling, but we had a lot of family fun there.

It's the little things

Fun but not the best house

This one appeared great and definitely had the best yard and location which we selected to enable the kids to play outside. Unfortunately, it rained a lot and that left us inside to many things in disrepair or just bad shape. Taylor Made sent someone right away to fix the cable in the main living room but the attempt was unsuccessful and the tech said the partner company would come out - they never showed up. Kitchen was not as well equipped as other homes, towel rack falling out of wall, one of the bedroom tvs came on very loudly at 5AM, pool table was really beat up which affected the play, the back door was open when we arrived leaving many hours for the house to warm up, and that part of the lake stunk (or sewage) was a very strong unpleasant smell. So, we probably would not pick this house again.

Reviewer Comments: House is a great size and layout on a magnificent lot with fabulous lake access and views, but it needs a little TLC. While the house was clean, everything was a bit worn. Family room furniture had holes in the upholstery, Teflon pots and pans were extremely scratched and peeling inside, screen doors were missing from most of the doors on the lake side of the house and the pool table was in terrible shape with the felt hanging off the bumpers on the sides. For a weekend visit we overlooked all of this, but if I was staying here for a week I would expect everything to be in much better shape for the price.

Mostly good I think...

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ten adults, 2 kids; 2nd time to Deep Creek. Most of us loved location of house - unobstructed view, heart of the lake near most shopping, restaurants, WISP, etc., generally flat yard so the little kids can run around. Very close to the other houses (like 10 feet separating!) but most were ok with that. 4 master suites and three "living areas" was awesome; nice to sit on the deck and patio; house has everything you need (including cooler & some floats). House needs a healthy does of TLC and some upgrades. A house this big needs 2 refrigerators - the refrigerator was small anyway and with all those people it was too full so it barely kept things cold. The majority of the mattresses should be replaced - all shapes and sizes of people had sore backs. Outside of house could use a spruce up but that shouldn't be a deal breaker. Other big issue was cleanliness. Mouse droppings and doritos in sleeper sofa; underneath furniture was gross (a couple of toys rolled under - yuck); cob webs. We told Taylor Made about the dirty floor under the loveseat and they did send someone right away but we weren't there and they literally cleaned just under the one love seat I mentioned - didn't check anywhere else. I'm sure they would have come back if we called again but we just cleaned up to make sure it was done right. They need better quality control. We were told we couldn't go into the house early (cleaners left at 2) b/c a manager was coming to inspect it but that never happened. And finally - these are all 1st world problems! We had a great vacation! (but not sure if we will do At Lake's Edge next year and will definitely hold Taylor Made to higher standards (we used TM last year too))

Family Reunion for 16

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved being able to be right on the water. And the lawn area was super fun for the kids. Having the dock right there on Saturday when we rented a pontoon boat was great. The kitchen had everything we needed but the toaster is half broken - I'd have it replaced. We were all surprised the deck was so small and two of the deck chairs were broken - they should be removed. The grill was super super small - we had to grill in several batches - we all wished the large grill on the neighbors deck was at our rental house. The reason I rate location as low was because some jet skiers came screaming around the curve of the water and almost hit the kids and the boat dock. There needs to be some additional bogey/flags at that corner for safety. The mattresses are getting old - I've definitely slept on much better. The water pressure on the main level and upper lever is super low. The house was very very clean so kudos to the cleaning staff. We made the best of it and all enjoyed being together. But we'd rent a different house next year.

Another Great Wisp House

But the living room furniture was very comfortable, the location couldn't be beat, and the lake proximity was nice. Plenty of spare towels in the bathrooms though we had a hot water issue with the upstairs bathrooms.

Great Rental Property; could stand some updates

The house was bice, but for a oremium property it could have used some minor updating, such as the TV's, and there needs to be more pantry space for food atorage.
