Welcome to G.F. Wiard House! Take a step back in time as you walk through the front door of this tastefully renovated historic Cody, Wyoming home. This home is located within walking distance of Sheridan Avenue, the main street in Cody. This home was built in 1907 by George Frederick Wiard. The house has been recently renovated with modern influences including an open floor plan, while keeping the original historic charm. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern cabinetry, quartz countertops and stainless appliances resting atop the beautifully refinished original oak flooring. The dining area comfortably accommodates 10 around its handsome vintage table. The G.F. Wiard house highlights its vaulted ceilings with beautiful lighting and views to the loft from the spacious living-room.
Bedroom 1 features a king bed and a modern ensuite bathroom with step in shower.Bedroom 2 is styled in a transitional mixture of contemporary and eclectic to create a cozy and inviting space with access to the backyard. Bedroom 3 contains an upholstered trundle style bed perfect for an additional guest or children. These bedrooms share a well-suited hall bath with shower/tub combo. Bedroom 4 is unique and fun and is located up the stairs in the loft area. This space includes a book nook, in addition to a queen bed and a twin bed.
Sit back and relax in an Adirondack chair on the front porch, enjoy the occasional sighting of the town deer along one of Cody s most charming and walkable neighborhoods. This home is located within just a few blocks of historic downtown Cody where you will find local restaurants, breweries, bars, coffee houses and many unique shops! G.F. Very charming house only 2 blocks from downtown Cody. We were a party of 6…4 adults and 2 kids. The house had plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms to accommodate our needs. Kitchen was well stocked with the necessities. Plenty of parking. Great front porch to chill out on. Grocery shopping was a 5 minute drive away. Great base for visiting Yellowstone. 50 minutes from the east entrance.

Great place

We really enjoyed staying at this property. This was one of the cleanest properties we've ever stayed at. The back yard needs some attention, but overall I would stay here again.

Wedding in Cody

Home was very clean and exactly as pictured. The amenities provided the comfort of home. 5 of us stayed in the home and it was roomy and we were not on top of each other. Plenty of coat hangers to hang wedding attire. The location is absolutely wonderful. Close and convenient to all the restaurants and shops. Great area for walking a dog too.

Beautifully restored historic home

Beautifully restored historic home in downtown Cody. Only blocks from main street, gift shops restaurants, theatres, The Irma Hotel, etc. Even the Buffalo Bill Center of the West is within walking distance. We especially enjoyed relaxing at the end of the day on the front porch while watching the wildlife wander the neighborhood.

Our stay was perfect!

House was clean. Safe location. Loved the visits from the neighborhood deer that came in the yard twice during our stay. House/Yard was great for our two Newfoundland dogs; although we did cover the 2 white chairs in the living room with sheets as soon as we got there just in case.

Great house for a visit to Yellowstone

This house had everything we were looking for. Kitchen was roomy and well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Yard was perfect for our furry friends. Location was great, my husband walked to breakfast at Granny's, just 3 short blocks away. (He likes to get up early, before the rest of us, and go out for breakfast.). We would definitely stay there again.
