The Porch House sits on the edge of 40 wooded acres ready to be explored. Rocking chairs on the wraparound porch provide a great view of the woods while sipping morning coffee. The open floor plan and expansive windows bring the outdoors indoors while cooking, dining, and relaxing. Three living areas offer comfortable spaces for chilling with friends. Two bedrooms with king beds and one bedroom with twins, two full baths, and two half baths, offer accommodations for at least six.

Sondra thought of everything and made us feel very welcome. It is a beautifully decorated home with a great kitchen. The porches and the secluded view are so peaceful. It was perfect for our needs!

Hosts Sondra and Jim were extremely friendly and accommodating. The house is beautiful with plenty of space, very clean with comfortable rooms. We were met with homemade breads and preserves!! It was quiet and the large windows looked out over woodsy property where you can take a relaxing walk. It was great from start to finish.

The Porch House is fabulous! It's been our home away from home the last four years, ever since we found it during our son's first year at MSU. Everything is excellent. And, it's an easy 30 minute drive to MSU campus. Sondra is super nice and so easy to work with. Give it a try, and I don't think you will ever stay anywhere else.

Wedding weekend

This was a beautiful quiet place in a perfect location for our weekend. I highly recommend The Porch House and the homemade bread and strawberry fig jam was amazing.

We had a very quiet and comfortable stay. Great view fromthe back of the home. Wooded area had deer and other wide life. Very nice kitchen and open area with the view.We enjoyed the bread and preserves provided by the host.

The Porch House

We loved the Porch House. It retained the vintage charm that is a part of Columbus history along with being a thoroughly updated modern home. Although just minutes from downtown Columbus, the home was in a peaceful wooded setting, easily enjoyed by the many windows and porches overlooking the views. The home was beautifully furnished, with every comfort provided and spotlessly clean. My husband found the place “wonderful” and my daughter said that the rental photos did not adequately reflect how lovely the home was. Top review marks from our family!

Great get away spot!!!

Owners are close by and they made sure our stay was absolutely the best. House is amazing and set up perfect. Even had things supplied that we always forget to pack. We will be back.
