Quaint and cozy garage studio with living room/kitchen area and full bath located in a safe, country neighborhood next to the Pride of the North Shore, the Kahuku Red Raiders. King sized bed and air mattress sleeps 4 guests! Minutes away from North Shore attractions: Polynesian Cultural Center, Famous Giovanni's Shrimp Truck, Keana Climbworks Zipline, Turtle Bay Hilton, Laie Hawaii Temple and miles of beachline ( Malaekahana, Pounders, Hukilau and Kekela's).
Experience the local living, not the usual tourist trap. Safe neighborhood. Laid back away from the hustle and bustle city life. Country style of living. Rooster walking around and crowing. The only part of the Island that I would want to raise my children. Close to Kahuku Hospital and Kahuku Elementary and High School.
We also have a small 8 lbs. dog named Snuggles in our home but not in the unit. So if you’re allergic, please let me know in advance.

It was a fabulous, authentic, friendly experience. Our host was lovely. She offered unique experiences to enhance our Hawaiian holiday, while also affording us privacy. This is a great find! Close to beaches and food trucks.

Hawaii Vacation Pearl Harbor / North Shore

Great location ! Sunset beach was our favorite beach and it was just a short drive away! Lots of access to dining from Studio Apartment! Dining was excellent! Our host was so accommodating, and even informed us of the Iam Tongi (American Idol) performance, which we were able to get tickets for! Quiet studio and great location to everything ! North Shore is so much quieter than Honolulu/Waikiki. It was everything we were looking for! We will return!

Great stay

Overall experience was amazing! Gen was a great host! We enjoyed our stay in both Northshore & Waikiki place hosted by Gen. we will definitely come back again and refer family and friends. Thank you for your warm hospitality with our family!

Not recommended

Interior garage door rusted, dishes were dirty, kitchen appliances were dirty and rusted. Step between front room and kitchen was approximately one foot high and between kitchen and bathroom three inches (unsafe).

North Shore, Oahu

We had exactly what we were looking for, rest and relaxation. Was a great location to be anywhere wanted. There are stores, food trucks, and restaurants close. Seven Brothers Burgers is a must.

Had a great stay!

We had a great stay, it was clean, and had plenty of room for me and my husband. AC works well, and bed was comfortable. The only thing we didn't really like a whole lot was the location, but ONLY because there were not many restaurants close to the house that stayed open later, most things close around 8pm or earlier. So nothing wrong with the property, but if you plan to be out late and eating dinner late, then you'll need to plan accordingly.

Cute apartment for two.

The garage apartment was great for our three days exploring the north shore of Oahu. Our host Genevieve was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was convenient to the Polynesian Cultural Center and Kualoa Ranch.

Quiet getaway

This was our home base as we traveled all over the island. This is a simple room and very comfortable for longer stays! Hospitality couldn’t have been better, like staying at a friends house. Very quiet neighborhood by school and close to main roads!

Wonderful experience

Genevieve Wasson is an incredible host! A beautiful local family who enriched our stay with cultural experiences. I had the pleasure of meeting Gen and Snuggles and making a lei with her and my boyfriend and I had a beautiful morning walk with her along the beach. What a wonderful person and a darling studio we got to stay in, equipped with a tv, king size bed, bathroom, and mini kitchen! Very clean space! Can’t say enough good things about this experience:) Thank you Gen!

Best Experience

Genevieve was awesome! We had the most wholesome experience staying with Genevieve and her Husband. They treated us as if we were part of their family. The location of the property is perfect for people wanting to stay away from the busy parts of the island. Very local and not touristy vibes. I would recommend anyone and everyone to stay with Genevieve.

Hosts give an amazing local experience

We loved our stay! The room had everything we needed and the bed was so comfortable. And the room is charming. Genevieve and Henny were the perfect hosts! We went to yoga on the beach and morning walks on the beach. They have surf equipment we rented which was so convenient. And the beach they recommended ended up being the best spot to surf. Staying here gave us a feel of the culture we could not have experienced at a resort.

We thought the apartment in the garage could be a good idea. So we give it a chance because it had very nice reviews. But we have to say it was one of the worst stays we ever had. I can't imagine that no body expect us has something to complain. Everything in the garage is old, we tried to clean up but it still was terrible. It's ok for private use but never for a renting. They have a dog and he goes in the accommodation an absolute no-go for allergy sufferers. I'm sorry to write such a bad review because the host and her husband were really very friendly. But we have to leave the accommodation after one night.

Low Key Cozy Studio Garage

Conveniently located. Don’t expect a luxury stay, but it was perfect for our needs. We didn’t spend much of our time in the VRBO, mainly came back to sleep & wind down after dark. My only complaint would be the lack of privacy, you can let curtains down but the garage is surrounded with open glass Louver windows. They can be closed but do not allow for much privacy with sound, you hear the neighbors & they hear you. But if you don’t mind that it definitely adds to the beach vibes. The Vrbo was well stocked and the host was fabulous! She had great local recommendations. We also rented a car from her, which went super well! I’d describe this stay as low key, exactly what we were looking for and a great price!

Great stay

We were in Oahu visiting family for only a few nights and stayed here. The hostess is very friendly and did a great job of checking in to make sure you we were doing well. The place has ample space for a small family/couple. The location is conveniently located to all the great North Shore amenities/attractions. Hostess has thoughtfully puts space together for visitors. This is a good place to relax after a busy day of adventures!

We had a wonderful stay. The area was very family friendly. We were comfortable and happy to be in a quieter area for our vacation. The accommodations were just right for us with a small kitchen and nice living area. Small details like an eating tray, clothing rack, and local, cultural decor really added to our stay. We were treated so kindly and offered local bananas and homemade banana bread, which was amazing! It was also so helpful to have the use of a washer and dryer. The location is close to some of our favorite places and food trucks of our stay. I can not recommend this place enough. We loved it!

Very cute!

My husband and I stayed a couple nights after our wedding and it was delightful. Everything looked exactly liked the pictures, it even seemed bigger in person! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The host, Genevieve, was communicative and friendly! We would definitely stay here again :)

Kahuku Trip

It was amazing! The property manager was very nice, and just wanted us to have a great time and personal touch with us. Great place to stay, very spacious but also had a small homey feel.

Amazing stay on the north shore!!

This bachelor unit was the perfect place to stay on during our trip to the north shore Oahu. It had everything we needed, was super cool and comfortable and Genevieve was an incredible and lovely host :) We will definitely return!
