'Eagle Watch' Relaxing Lakefront Cottage with Sandy Beach.

“Eagle Watch”

Lovely lakefront cottage with breathtaking views of Meredith Bay from the glass filled family room and master bedroom. Full length upstairs deck provides serene and private family time for meals or to enjoy your morning coffee.

There is a bathroom with shower on the main floor along with the well- equipped kitchen and dining room combo. The upstairs has a ½ bath, with 3 bedrooms that will easily accommodate a family of 6. July and August only: minimum 7 day stay.

Flower filled patio provides access to the stairs leading directly to the sandy beach. Plenty of outdoor seating allows you to make the most of your beach time. Swing set, play area, and basketball hoop are part of the common area and available to all guests.

Swim, fish from the dock, watch for eagles, and listen for the beautiful call of the loons!

Weekly bookings (Sat - Sat) required July and August.

We loved our stay at Eagle Watch. My family instantly felt at home surrounded by all of the family artwork/photos on the walls and comfy touches. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Location was fantastic, close to restaurants and activities, but still peaceful & relaxing on the water! Would love to stay here again.

Absolutely perfect location. Exactly what we wanted. Steps to the sandy beach. Water was perfect; much warmer than we feared it would be (late August.) deck was shady and serene. House is nothing fancy, but was very comfortable. It had every gadget you could want. Even found pen and paper and rubber bands in the “junk drawer.” They must stay here when they don’t rent it as it has their personal stuff.

Weekend getaway

Enjoyed the space. Very clean and accommodating. Loved the location. Centrally located! Didn't use lake access as it was October but could imagine it being perfect in the summer.

Close to town and lake

We loved the house! Walking distance to stores and restaurants in Meredith were a big plus. Easy distance to other lakes region attractions. Beautiful beach for swimming just down the stairs

Wonderful!

The house was adorable and immaculate. The upper deck was perfect for hanging out and enjoying morning coffee. The sandy beach was beautiful. Joe the owner was amazing and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Beautiful Spot

This is a wonderful spot right on the water in Meredith Bay. Outstanding views from most of the house and a really cute little area. Highly recommended.

Very nice place on the lake, quiet area, hot tub was a nice added feature and the dock usage was great rented a boat at Meredith Marina just across the bay. Joe was very easy to deal with...only suggestion us older folks need directions how to use the tv remotes I got it on day 2 with the help of my kids LOL...great spot , loved the location

Amazing location, confortable

Pics do not do justice to the location. We had an amazing time walking down to swim and fish at the lake. Love that you can see the water from the upstairs main bedroom. Home is comfortable, loved in. Host was responsive - thank you!

Meredith Home on the Lake

This is an ideal spot. Very close to shopping and restaurants, yet on a quiet street with a small beach area to watch the wildlife and the boaters. Communications with the owner, Joe, was fantastic. He was very helpful with our questions. One of our favorite Vrbo's. We hope to return again.

Beautiful cottage so close to downtown

What a beautiful, quiet location. Plenty of room for 5 adults, although there was only two of us. Gorgeous sunrise views. Very responsive owner and they leave plenty of spices and items for use. More than I’ve seen in any place I’ve stayed! Love it here and will definitely be back. The dock as a major bonus!

Perfect lake house stay

We had a great stay. The location was great. Short, about 3/4 mile walk to everything to do in Meredith. Walked to the restaurants, shops and ice cream! Great beach which is across from the docks. Was able to rent jet ski, kayak and SUP and come right across the Harbour to a dock we could use. Would come back. Only advice is you do have to be able to negotiate stairs but this is no issue for us.

Wholeheartedly Recommend!

Our group had a wonderful stay at “Eagle’s Watch”. The location was ideal for us - close to groceries, restaurants and steps from the Lake. The property was well stocked with a plethora of choices for cooking, sleep and relaxation. Joe was very responsive. He made the booking and rental experience easy peasy from start to finish. We were very appreciative of all the thoughtful gestures the host made with guests in mind. We will rebook if we return to the area!

Great Week, Great Location

My father and I stayed a week in this lovely home. The house is located in a small shared community which is a 15 minute walk from downtown Meredith. The owner was accommodating and some essentials were already provided. The highlight of the house for me is the beautiful view from the second floor deck. You can see the mountains and all the way down the bay. The deck is wonderfully shaded by oak trees in the afternoon and is a welcome respite from the heat. We were able to dock our 18' boat with ample space. The draft at the end of the dock is about waist deep, which is adequate with the prop down.

Relaxing Getaway

Spent a week in this well-cared for home on the lake with my husband and two 18+ children. The check-in process was smooth, and the house was very clean and comfortable. The house has beautiful views of the lake and is very quiet and relaxing, while still being within walking distance to downtown Meredith. We had an issue with the WiFi, and the owner quickly tried his best to fix it. Being that it was a holiday week, he was unable to get the router repaired, but reimbursed us a portion of our rental fee for the inconvenience, which we very much appreciated. The only thing I disliked about the home was the large number of steps that need to be navigated to get down to the beach. This wasn’t a problem for us, but could be difficult for young children or older adults. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful Vacation Spot

My family had a wonderful time at this property, which is right on Meredith Bay. My five-year-old son enjoyed the playground and fun games at the house. The easy access just downstairs to the sandy beach was perfect. We fished off the dock and enjoyed some lazy days catching minnows and swimming in the lake. The house itself was great—the living room and master bedroom have a terrific view of the lake, the area was quiet at night, and the house had all the basics on hand, including linens and towels. We also appreciated that the house was a quick drive and even walk to downtown Meredith, where there is a Hannafords grocery store. The owner is friendly and communication was quick and easy. We had such a great time that when we got home and asked him what he thought, he said that he wants “to go there every day.” :) We highly recommend this property.

Mostly good but some not so good

First of all, I have to say that the property owner was great. I feel bad saying anything negative because of that fact but I was caught off guard by a few things and feel other renters should be aware. First, I didn’t realize that this property was part of a small association and that the lakefront and dock were common property. Secondly, although the inside of the property was clean and comfortable, the outside wasn’t. The area down by the lake was covered in weeds and some discarded items and the dock covered in spider webs. The deck off the upstairs was covered in debris (branches, etc) and the glider rocker wasn’t in the best condition. It looked as if it hadn’t been swept off in quite some time. The grill was filthy. Inside, there were lots of personal items (including in the refrigerator) left by the owners. I felt like I was visiting a relatives’ home instead of a rental property. Some of the bedroom furniture is in need of updating but the mattresses were comfortable. Although there was only one air conditioner in the house (in the smallest bedroom), it was enough to cool down the entire upstairs. The bathrooms were relatively modern as was the kitchen. The kitchen was also well-equipped. The living room was cozy and the dining area easily accommodated 6 people. We didn’t eat outdoors because the outdoor table was off the upstairs (bedrooms) deck and not near the kitchen (same with the grill). The property itself was on a busy road but there was plenty of off-street parking. Overall, it was a comfortable stay but could use some improvements.
