Bridge-view at Cataract Falls Lodge

The Bridge-view suite is an end unit with views to the nearly 200 year old covered bridge at the entrance to the Cataract Falls State Recreation Area. This Suite is one of three Suites in the lodge that can be rented individually or combined. The suite sleeps up to 4 people in a luxurious setting with a kitchenette to rival the best a fancy hotel suite has to offer. In addition to a comfortable interior this suite like every suite in the lodge has its own personal outdoor accommodations with pavilion, fire pit and gas grill. Sit outside and gaze over rolling hill at the parks entrance and listen to the falls in the background.

Just what I needed

I needed a quiet place to stay for work, that was also fragrance free. I was very happy to hear the owner understood and made it easy to find the location. I enjoyed the waterfalls and hiking trails close by. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area if possible.Thank you so much for the hospitality!

Very nice, clean and well-maintained property and lodging. Super close to Cataract Falls park. You can see the historic covered bridge and hear the falls from the rental space. Will definitely be back when we are in town visiting family.

Cozy Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! It was amazing and right next door to the Cataract Falls Park. It was beautiful, in fact we got to see it snowing before we left, and it really made us want to stay and sip on some hot chocolate while taking in the beautiful scenery! Unfortunately, Mondays have to come along and ruin all of the fun….

Great weekend getaway

The property, location and unit were all perfect!. We chose the location as it was between 2 destinations so we could stay at one place. This was a great find! Clean, updated and next to falls/hiking!

Fabulous Second Stay!

This is our second time staying at this exact location. Just like last year, the communication and details were very organized and straight forward. The property is clean, quiet and comfortable. Would definitely recommend it to others needing a place in the area!

Quiet, clean comfortable stay!

Checking in and out was super easy. The lodging was clean, comfortable and quiet. We didn't get to utilize the outdoor fire pit like I had hoped, but it was a perfect spot for a quick stay in the area. Definitely recommend!

We stayed during the week. It was quiet and sufficient. Others may want to know that there is an electric skillet and hot plate in addition to the outdoor grill. We couldn't find the owners phone number as there might be a leak in front of the kitchen sink. Also the sheets did not look clean.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. We went to see the beautiful Cataract Falls

Just wanted to get away from the stress of life. This was the perfect place to relax, reflect and rejuvenate. The property was clean & beautiful and the owners where very nice. We’re planning on a return trip very soon when the weather warms up.

Home away from home

Beautiful Area and Cozy Accommadations

My wife and I were visiting as we are moving to the area and wanted to look around to see where we wanted to relocate to. My wife found this little gem during our search and simply put, it was quite nice. This little space packs a lot of utility in. Couldn't be happier with the way it was set up and actually got some ideas that we plan to take with us to utilize in some projects. This was well kept, the owner was communicative regarding the icy drive, and the nearby waterfall makes this a nice little place to stay and could easily have a small get together with friends and family with the outdoor patios. Will definitely stay again.

Perfect Long Weekend

The owners have really gone above and beyond with their extensive renovations. We felt entirely at home during our stay. Every detail has been considered and we didn't have to bring anything besides our luggage and steaks & veggies for the grill. The location was great--peace and quiet with all the lovely nature at your doorstep, and any restaurants or entertainment you could want within a 30 min. scenic drive.

Hi! I am Bill your host. I go by Captain Bill here around the lake. I moved here to Indianapolis shortly after participating in the 1987 Pan American Games playing Team Handball. I purchased this property with the sole purpose of making it what it is today. A vacation get-a-way for families and groups wanting to explore the amazing Cataract Falls State Recreation area. Becky, my girlfriend who goes by First Mate Becky, is my partner in this adventure and the both of us welcome you to experience all this area has to offer.

If you enjoy the outdoors, nature and adventure but equally enjoy the comforts of a fine hotel the Bridge-View Suite is the place for you. It's not a property designed for long stays but for a few days it is ideal for tranquility and rest or adventure into the Park. This Bridge-View Suite has its own outdoor area to include a patio and deck and along with private pavilion. Sit out, relax and listen to the falls in the background.
