Beach & River Retreat. Spectacular house with private sand beach and hot tub!

One of a kind house with spectacular views. 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Completely remodeled in 2019. Whole house generator, open floor plan, Crows Nest has breath taking views from 50 feet high above the shore. Perfect for those want to kick back and enjoy family/friend time. Elegant minimalist décor. Large open floor plan. Private sandy beach in a private community whose amenities include outdoor pool, tennis courts, 2 community boat launches and large community beach.
Fish and crab from the pier or play volleyball, bocci, corn hole in the yard. We have 5 bikes, 2 kayaks and 2 sups available for our guests to use. Cook on the gas grill and watch the sun set from the deck hot tub.
The space
This is a quiet community and we respect our neighbors. We are looking for families, or groups of mature friends who are seeking a getaway from the stresses of life but are not seeking a frat-house environment.
For those with boats and jet skis, There are 2 nearby boat launch sites in the community and they are always open.
We have a full size back up generator should the power go out. On demand hot water offers plenty of hot water. No cold showers! Located less than 2 hours from NoVA and 90 minutes from Richmond.
**Maximum of 18 guests allowed. Additional guests will be charged $75 per person per night. 2 Dogs are permitted max for a $150**
NOTE: This house does NOT have an elevator.

There is a lockbox on the front door.
Other things to note
Please note: Our lifts are not available for guests to use. However you are welcome to tie your boat up at the dock and we do have an anchor available for those bringing jet skis.

House was beautiful and roomy. Hot tub was great, view was amazing. The set up of the rooms was nice with included towels and everything. We will definitely want to stay here again, don't have a single negative thing to say.

We had a fantastic time at the beautiful River House. It was the perfect getaway from our busy surroundings, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed playing pool, swimming in the river, fishing, and exploring the beach for unique rocks and shells. While the nearest restaurants and grocery store are a short drive away, every meal we had at the local restaurants was absolutely delicious!

Spacious family get together

We had a great stay for an 80th birthday celebration. Clean, spacious house with large kitchen and dining area. Bikes and water toys were fun for the kids. Large deck to gather for sunset. Community pool was an added bonus for the really hot days!

Family Get Away

We enjoyed staying at the house. It is generous in size with comfy sofas and a huge, beautiful kitchen. We loved the proximity to the water and all of the water toys were well used. It was an enjoyable family vacation.

We had the best time! It is a gorgeous and spacious house, and the beach and dock were perfect. Frank was so kind and easy to work with and we would all love to stay here again- highly recommend!

Family water front vacation

The home really worked great for our family. 3 generations where easily accommodated. First floor bedrooms where a must. Unique and spacious interior. Could not ask for a better spot on the water. If we return to the area we would certainly want to stay her again

A wonderful stay

The house is beautifully decorated and on a nice lot with plenty of parking. The large well equipped kitchen was perfect for family meals. There was plenty of space and the view of the water was magnificent. Everyone had a lovely time.

Held annual family vacation, 5 couples plus kids. House was perfect and more than large enough. Location on the water could not be beat and the beach was great for younger kids, very safe. Host was very responsive. Look forward to next visit.

Everything was great, beautiful house, pickleball driveway, great screened porch. Sadly the VRBO app listed an elevator (elderly grandparents needed to get upstairs) but Frank worked with them to help get our fee back.

Wonderful house for a large group

This is a beautiful house with gorgeous views of the river and is great for a friend or family reunion! We gathered 6 families, with kids ranging from 1 to 8, and had plenty of room and so much fun! The kitchen/dining area was amazing (and huge) for prepping meals and allowing all 18 of us to eat together. It was super hot when we were there, but we were able to play on the river beach some and take the kayaks out. We spent a lot of time at the community pool, which was great for kids. The house was very clean and had everything we needed! Frank was great about answering our many questions before we arrived.

Great home for relaxing vacation

We enjoyed tremendously. Lots of activities and room to keep busy at house for entire family. Other than eating out on two occasions, we stayed at house for the week. Jellyfish kept us out of water so enjoyed the pool, hot tub and kayaks on the water. Fishing and crabbing were fun for the kids. We enjoyed the vacation tremendously!

Fun, relaxing week

This home was VERY clean, well-maintained, and spacious. Beautiful view of (and access to) the river. Great spot to unwind! We were disappointed at the amount of jellyfish in the water, but nothing to be done about that- glad we had a hot tub and access to the community pool. Also wonderful communication from host. Thanks for the stay!

Gorgeous river house

The house is even more beautiful and expansive than the photos here show. Everything looked new and was completely pristine. Debbie was very communicative and flexible on our check-out time. And getting to use the kayaks was an unexpected treat. We couldn’t have had a better stay—thank you!

We had such a wonderful family vacation! The house is beautiful - spacious and accommodating. We had a lot of fun making family meals in the amazing kitchen. We loved all of the water sports - kayaks, SUPs, floats - but the kids (and adults!) loved jumping off the dock the most. Frank was super responsive and just a nice guy. We had a great time and hope to visit again.

Beautiful house, perfect for extended family!

We rented this home for our Thanksgiving celebration. Everyone said it was perfect. Some in our family slept in another house around the corner, but all 21 gathered here during the day. Kitchen well equipped. Lots of seating room inside. Very comfortable. Great view of the river and pretty sunrises. Owner very responsive.

Virginia Family Reunion

Lovely setting in a very nice house with great view. We would have been happier without the jellyfish. Kids couldn’t swim or be in water off beach at all because of stinging jelly fish. Had great time at community pool and in years and hot tub.

A perfect house and location for a family vacation

Absolutely loved the house and the neighborhood. The house was enormous, clean and up to date. The water was clean enough to swim in and there is a small community beach a few houses down. The house had kayaks, SUPs plus bikes. Frank, the host, was responsive when we had questions. Additionally, we lost power due to a storm that came through and the house has a back up generator which worked perfectly.

The stay at the house was absolutely fantastic! It’s a beautiful home with stunning views, and watching the sunrise in the morning was truly spectacular. The house was very clean and well-maintained, making it a perfect place for a comfortable stay.Everyone, including the kids, enjoyed it so much. The highlight for them was catching a fish right from the back waters of the house – such a fun and memorable experience!It’s a wonderful spot whether you’re staying with family or friends, ideal for both relaxation and making great memories. The host, Frank, was excellent – very helpful and quick to respond to all inquiries.I would rate this place 10/10 for the house, the stay, and the host. The only small suggestion would be to have the grill located outside the kitchen door, which would make it more convenient than carrying things to the other side of the house.Overall, highly recommended!

Fun family vacation

My family enjoyed spending a few days at this lovely home. The kids had a ton of fun swimming. There were a couple of jelly fish stings but it wasn't too bad. There were plenty of kayaks and paddle boards for everyone to enjoy. The house was well stocked with enough pillows and blankets for everyone. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked but some of the kitchen pans may need to be replaced with newer ones. Overall it was a great experience, my family had a wonderful time and Frank was very helpful and quick to respond. Thank you!

Gorgeous, well equipped waterfront rental

This house was truly amazing!! Plenty of room for the entire family, My 94 year old mom could stay on the main floor and enjoy the views and activity from inside the living room or on the deck. Every bedroom was comfortable with plenty of room to spread out. So many extras included. Pool table/hot tub was a blast. We also loved crabbing off the dock. Crabs every night for dinner. The beach was perfect for our grand children and the adults enjoyed floating on our huge raft and tied it to the pier at night. This place is truly a gem and we hope to return again. Thank you for sharing your home!
