Excellent experience at Chai’s Cabin at Camelback. The host, Upal, was very responsive, welcoming and helpful. The home was well-maintained and cozy for our family gathering at Thanksgiving. Especially enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace and the holiday decorations and Christmas tree.

Nice for family get-together

Chai’s Cabin is a nice cabin for a get-together. The house was clean and there was plenty of room for our group of eight. Check-in was an issue as we arrived shortly after 3:00pm and were told by the cleaning person that we couldn’t be in until 4:00pm. It would’ve been nice to know about the change in check-in time prior to arrival. The VRBO listing states there is a pool but when we asked about the pool we were told that the pool is being renovated and not unavailable until the end of July. From the looks of it the pool won’t be ready this year. We wish we knew about the pool renovation before we made our reservation because having access to a pool was one of the criteria we wanted for the rental. The house does have a lot of amenities to make your stay comfortable, but there were no paper towels, and a few sheets of toilet paper in each bathroom, so we had to go out and get these items. House maintenance could use some upkeep. The ice maker in the refrigerator doesn’t work, the dining room chairs need tightened, the front wheel assembly on the bottom rack of the dishwasher fell off several times, and the internal doors in the house squeak terribly. A previous renter left a bag of garbage in the storage room. The bag had obviously been there several days and had flies all over it, and smelled horrible. Communication with the owner is spotty, he responds quickly most of the time but not so quickly, or at all, other times.

Mountain Trip

The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The host was super responsive and our stay was very nice. The hot tub was very relaxing and the AC kept the house very cool. We will definitely stay again in the future.

Skiing weekend

Had a very cold weekend but the house was very comfortable. We appreciated all the little extras provided. Beds were very comfy and distance to ski lodge was convenient Enjoyed our stay.

Could be awesome

With a few tweaks and changes this place would be an absolute delight. Too many shortcuts and broken items. Nice looking place at first glance but there were some issues. The owner is very pleasant and quick to communicate. Check in at 3 was delayed due to cleaning. The cleaner is extremely nice and did a great job. We were not notified that there would be a delay in check in as described in the information provided for the listing. The house could use a deep clean, which is not em the job responsibility of the turn over cleaner, for vents especially. While laying in bed and looking up at the ceiling you can see a few years worth of dust caked onto the air vents. Stove top was extremely cracked from a previous renter. I was very uncomfortable using the stove. It sounds like the previous renter did this so I understand that a replacement would not be possible with such a quick turn around but a heads up would have been nice. There were also incompatible pans for the stove top. The owner did rectify this with a replacement set sent to the house. Smoke detectors are missing from the two upstairs bedrooms. This feels…illegal? Not to code? There is a place for them, but the units are missing. In the upstairs bathroom, the bathroom drain plug didn’t work and the towel rack was missing from the wall. Several lightbulbs out/missing in several lamps and fans. The bottom rack of the dishwasher is broken. The basement, while a lovely space, does not have A

Great Place

The home was very clean and well appointed there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen even had coffee, tea and several spices and condiments already there. The area is lovely and close to everything. Next time we are in the Poconos, we will definitely book again!

Winter Family Holiday

We had an amazing extended family weekend. 5 Generations enjoyed this amazing home. The home was just as the listing. Even more amazing. The space, the decor. Plenty of bedrooms & very comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything that was needed for a family dinner. The views from the living room are great. Very clean. Close to so many attractions & Camelback. Very close to grocery stores & shopping outlets. Very peaceful holiday in the Pocono’s If you are considering this home don’t miss out.

Family Thanksgiving

Spent Thanksgiving here with my husband, two daughters, their husbands and my four grandchildren. Brought all the fixings for Thanksgiving dinner and loved working the spacious kitchen. We played games and watched Christmas movies. We went to the outlets and even to the movies. The house was spacious and very clean. The owners were very quick to answer any question we had no matter how big or small. We are hoping to rent this house again next Thanksgiving. Great time!

Good location needs maintenance

Great location. Property was good but needs some maintenance and upgrades. There was pile of stones on driveway. Patio work was going on in the backyard making noise for two days. Inside doors were squeaking, bath tub was not draining and old pots and pans. Sofa was sinking, should replace them.

Family ski vacation 2/2023

Stayed 7 days / 6 nights for a family ski vacation. Great house for the kids and grandkids. Plenty of room and more importantly, 4 bathrooms. Very clean and well appointed. The location was great and easy to access. It worked out so well that I booked it for 2024!

Amazing house

This was the best rental house in the poconos! We have been renting for past 10+ years in the area. Location was perfect - 5 min drive to camelback. House was beautiful and spacious - very comfortable for 8 adults and 5 kids. Basement was a separate area for the kids (ages 8-15) to hang out - TV, foosball table, 2 sets of bunk beds and trundle, multiple couches. Kitchen was well stocked with lots do condiments and coffee/tea, nice dishes, cutlery. Bathroom and bedrooms were great too - we loved the cozy bedding and mattress was super comfy. Would definitely come back!

Poconos summer 2022

The property is beautiful and the 4 bed 4 bath was just what we wanted. We had 2 teenagers and they claimed the downstairs area for themselves. Couches, TV, 4 bunks and a foos ball table. Many amenities. Enjoyed our stay.

As you walk into this modern and recently renovated cabin, you are welcomed by a huge main floor with 18 ft vaulted ceilings and a stunning 4ft chandelier. You will find all-natural wood exposed all around the home from the staircases to the door trimmings.

The kitchen has been recently renovated with top-of-the-line appliances such as a french door fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and induction heat stove. You will find a set of cookware, seasonings, Keurig coffee machine, and dinnerware set enough for over 12 people. We also include dish soap and dishwasher pods for your convenience.

The 10 comfortable beds are each set with high-end hotel-quality bedding for one of the best nights of sleep you can get.

The bathrooms each provide body towels, hand towels, face towels, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and Charmin toilet paper.

The living room gives plenty of space for fun and entertainment with lots of seating on our luxury leather couches. The brand new 65in TV will let you stream any streaming service you have access to. The gorgeous and rustic floor-to-ceiling fireplace will allow you and your friends and family to get cozy and stay warm during those winter months. The whole house is equipped with 1,000 Mbps internet speed so you will have no problem working remotely from Chai's Cabin.

The spacious back deck gives you a chance to grab some fresh air while being able to grill on a Weber BBQ grill and eat on our 8 person outdoor dining table.

The fully finished basement has tons of space for more entertainment. We have provided multiple games for you and your guests to enjoy. There is also another brand new 65in TV available for your use. You will also find the laundry room with detergent pods available for your use and a full bathroom. In addition, there is a game room just around the corner, as well as 4 bunk beds which provide additional sleeping options.

The 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms, 1 queen bed & a king bed with a car bed. There is also a full bathroom.
