We had the most relaxing and fun time visiting. Andres was incredibly responsive and accommodating as a host--it's clear he takes a lot of pride in his property and enjoys making it a good experience for guests. He even left his litter box and fresh litter for our cats, as well as food in the fridge for us when we arrived! Just above and beyond. We felt so comfortable and happy to be able to spend time in nature, at the pool, and hiking in such a beautiful place. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful and quiet mountain cabin

The property is beautifully situated and a perfect getaway for those wanting to clear their heads, in a peaceful and quiet environment. The property backs up to acres of woods. We had everything we needed during our stay, and the host was very easy to reach/helpful.

Cozy chalet in the woods

This property is as advertised. The owner is a dream to deal with. Very detailed info about how to operate all aspects of the home. It’s in a great location for visiting some of the little towns in the area and getting to some hiking trails. Four of us with dogs were very comfortable arriving back to this cozy chalet after a day of hiking, making dinner in the very well equipped kitchen and settling by the fire.

Breathtaking views!

Andres was a wonderful host who went above and beyond. Communication was stellar. The house was VERY well stocked, including some groceries for our stay. The location is just gorgeous! (Albeit, remote with not many close by options for a rainy day, of which we had a few.) It is a chalet in the woods that has been well loved. I enjoyed seeing the history of the home through many unique pieces. With it being a chalet in the woods, expect some bugs. We brought our own spray, but Andres had some there for us, too! So well prepared. Thanks, Andres for being such an amazung host!

Relaxing Getaway

This listing exceeded our expectations. It looked great on VRBO, but rarely does a rental actually meet the needs of everyone in the family. This place was a favorite for all of us. The master was great..it was a private relaxing suite separate from the other bedrooms - with a cool spiral staircase that our four year old wouldn’t dare stampede up early mornings around 7 am! 😂 The kids were more than happy to have their own sleeping quarters downstairs together where they could get up each morning and hang in the living room in front of the TV. The fireplace was awesome, not to mention an additional wood burning stove in the upstairs bedroom. Great amenities, multiple decks, fully stocked kitchen, both showers and tubs for the little ones..and an amazing sledding hill complete with the sleds. Very quiet and peaceful out in the woods, but close enough to Margaretville shops and restaurants as well as ski resorts. Even the dogs felt right at home! And the host Andres was BEYOND accommodating. He was so hospitable and extremely easy to communicate with. This is the first time we all agreed that we’d gladly rent the same house again for another amazing Catskills experience!

Family getaway

Lovely property with lovely owners. Everything we needed and more was available at the house, including milk, eggs, coffee and bread. All the spices and anything you need for cooking (which we did a lot of). Andres was perfect in communicating with us before and during our trip. We loved the hammocks and the tree house and the pool! So much fun for our family of five. Will definitely return here if we are in the Catskills again.

Private peaceful cabin

We had a wonderful weekend at this private cabin. The area was beautiful and quiet.. Andres was quick and responsive during our stay. Would definitely recommend staying!

Two fireplaces 15min from skiing!

What a lovely home! This was a delayed Thanksgiving/anniversary trip for us and it was perfect. It was clear that everything in the house was chosen with care - from the paintings to the cutlery to the lamp stands and some lovely antiques. The first day we drove over to Belleayre to ski - note that Plattkill is also 15-20min from the house. Three lifts and 8 trails were open, with one just right for kids to learn on (with an adult - ours are 4yo and 5yo). On our second day we drove over to Margaretville, had delicious quiche, blue corn quesadillas and espresso at Cafe Margueritte, picked up groceries and went for a short hike on the Pakatakan Trail. Our kids loved falling asleep to the bird mobile and waking to the little chairs and bird bath on the tree stump outside the window - and the fantastic collection of games! We were fortunate enough to get a dusting of snow the night before we left and visited a few times by the resident Blue Jay - and one deer! The property is landscaped with many rhododendrons so I imagine it’s beautiful in the spring as well. Highly recommend!
