Comfortable 3br 1 Ba / Pet and Kid Friendly / Near Downtown Hickory

Large spacious house with cozy (small) living room with electric fireplace, and roku tv (no cable), Master bedroom has 50" tv and queen size bed, 2nd bedroom has queen size bed and small tv, Office/Bedroom has twin size trundle bed that pulls out to 2 twins - has a small tv and a b/w laser printer. Wrap around porch with propane grill and gas fire bowl - outdoor dining and lounge chairs. Back yard is adjacent to a busy road - but is completely fenced.

Walking distance to downtown (about 15 minutes), and to Hollar Mills (the resturaunt at the brewery is GREAT). House is also close to the SALT block, hospitals, and the stadium. We are about 1 hour from Charlotte, or from Boone/Blowing Rock. Lots of Gem Mines nearby. About 1.25 Hours from Asheville.

Coffee/Sweetener is provided. There is an electric kettle - a coffee grinder - and a french press (very simple to use - instructions are next to the coffee area - and it makes the BEST coffee). Kitchen is stocked for cooking, and there is a lot of dining space. We are pet friendly - but need prior approval. The neighbors are close - so please keep the noise to a minimum so as not to disturb them. (No parties are allowed/guests are ok
- max 15 people).

Pets are welcome (with PRE-APPROVAL). If there are additional cleaning fees (usually $20) for excess hair or waste pickup - they will be billed after checkout. There are dog toys, a large crate, and treats for the fur-babies. Large fenced in back yard, and the gates on the front porch close off to keep kids/pets safe.

My grandsons are 2, 4 and 5 - and there are some toys there. The back bedroom has a projector on the ceiling with color-changing nebulas and stars (for the kid in all of us). There are some board games, puzzles and coloring books (for kids and adults) in the armoire in the living room as well. A pack and play (with sheets and blankets) is available.

You are welcome to smoke on the front or back porch, there are ashtrays in the bottom drawer to the left of the stove. Please do not leave cigarette butts around the property. Smoking inside the house (be careful if the windows are open) will result in a $500 fine. Any illegal substances, parties, or noise complaints will result in additional fines or you will be asked to vacate the premises immediately.

Front door has a smart lock - you'll be issued a code for the door and the alarm system prior to check in. Each guest has a unique code. Home has a security system with outdoor security cameras on all 3 doors. 2-3 cars will fit in the driveway - or you can park on the street. There is a ramp to get up to the porch, front door is 36", all interior doors are 30". Bathroom has grab bars that fold up and down if necessary. If you require a shower bench - please bring one.

** EXTERIOR PEST CONTROL **
Monthly pest control - they will perform exterior service only - and do not need access to the house. (Interior service is performed when house is vacant). If there are problems with pests at all - please let us know, and we will send them back over promptly to spray the interior. No refunds for bugs will be given as we have taken precautions to prevent pests - but service will be provided when requested.

** LAWN SERVICE **
Lawn service is provided when they are able to mow the yard - they do not have access to the house.
