On Bear Lake, nestled in the mountains, for you and your loved ones. Escape the distractions of life and experience ultimate privacy with this intimate 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom residence with extensive views. Fireplace, huge dining room table, for romantic dinners (and work, if you must), 3 TV's, views from the master bedroom equipped with a luxury king sized bed that make it nearly impossible to get up! Gourmet kitchen and all accoutrements. Note: Bear Lake Reserve may charge a $30 nightly fee upon arrival at the Greeter’s Cottage.

As an additional option, your own private lakefront retreat is available! This is a SEPARATE LOT less half mile away and is not charged unless asked about.

Force yourself to leave your nest and travel a half mile to enjoy your own private lake beach, patios, putt putt, bocce ball, croquet green, plus kayaks, Adirondack chairs, firepit, deck and ice cart in an abundantly landscape private world. This property is SEPARATE to the condo listing and is 125.00 per day.

Treat yourself to a totally unique, magical escape - safe, private, wooded wonderland.

Access to Club dining, pool, bar, boutique, water sport rentals, Jack Nicklaus designed 9 hole golf is a $20.00 fee per person and is paid to Bear Lake Reserve. This has nothing to do with our rental and is done through Bear Lake Reserve.

Great summer getaway!

This was our second time at this property and it did not disappoint! The proximity to the Lake Club can’t be beat and it’s wonderful having the ability to walk the trail and not needing to drive. I love the porch overlooking the lake. I would certainly stay here again.

Amazing Vacation

Our stay at Bear Lake was nothing short of amazing! The location of the condo was great to all the activities. We were back and forth to the Club House, which was just right down the hill. We even saw a mama bear and three babies. We can't wait to come back!

Great location, the south shore condos are a couple minutes from the Lake Club, Marina, etc. so very convenient! Condo is very nice and well appointed! This was our second stay here and I think we will be back again!

Beautiful Place

Beautiful community with lots to do. Kids enjoyed the pool, lake, tennis and hiking. Great having the lake club so close for fun and food. The mattresses were comfy and we all slept well. We would stay here again!

Great amenities, close to Lake Club

We love Bear Lake and the south shore condos are a great place to stay for easy access to the lake club, marina and beach! This condo is well decorated and well equipped with everything needed to make your stay comfortable, and great views from the deck!

Lovely property & spectacular views

Property is wonderful! Decor/furnishings are comfy & inviting. Kitchen has everything you need. View from the back porch is fantastic. Location to resort restaurant is very convenient, but you can hear music and noise from the resort's pool.Roads to get to the property are narrow, steep, twisty and hard on your brakes. Glad we drove our truck. Bring your own groceries if possible as food options are limited. Resort restaurant has great food but is pricey & doesn't serve hot breakfast. Leaving the resort area takes a good 20 minutes.We really enjoyed our visit and would stay here again. Next visit, we'll bring most of our own food to fix at the property.

Comfortable Condo

Spectacular vacation spot!

We loved everything about this property! Perfect size for our family of 4. Condo had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation! The view and proximity to the lake and lake club can’t be beat! The owners were so thoughtful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, they even had a BBQ grill delivered to the property when I asked if one was available!! We didn’t want to leave!!

A gem in Bear Lake Reserve!

We couldn't have been more happy with this rental in BLR. Great communication with the owner prior to arrival. Super clean and well furnished condo with an amazing lake view. Very comfortable memory foam mattress and mountain air made for a great nights sleep. Location is right around the corner from the Lake club, which has a great bar and excellent food. Highly recommend.

Beautiful setting & great customer service

The condo was lovely and perfect for a family of 4. Beautiful view of the lake and an easy hike through the woods down to the clubhouse/pool/marina. Unfortunately, they were replacing the roof on the condo building while we were there but the owner, Roberta, handled the situation well in terms of her communication with us and customer service. Overall, we had a nice stay and would definitely recommend.

Relaxing, Cozy, Fantastic getaway!

Cozy, Well Appointed, and comfortable lodging in a beautiful setting! Overall great stay in this high end condo with beautiful lake views in a fabulous resort setting. Wonderful views. quiet mountain lake, close to clubhouse with restaurants, massages, pool, and exercise room. Condo has all you need and more, nice touches throughout. Lots of lake water activities available and beautiful resort properties to explore. Owner very responsive and a pleasure to work with...thank you!

Beautiful vacation spot!

We had a great stay at Bear Lake! The condo is well equipped, has lovely decor and a nice view of the lake. It is even better than the pictures. The location is perfect - very close to the Lake Club and also close to the Summit where we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset, fire pits, live music and dinner event put on by the reserve. We enjoyed a nice meal at Lakeside 54, loved renting a pontoon boat, and did a little bit of hiking on the property. We loved sitting by the pool and the lake, which has a nice sandy white beach. It’s gorgeous. The amenities at the resort are great and this condo was the perfect spot for our family of 4 to enjoy it all. Thank you!

We had a wonderful relaxing vacation. The location of the condo was perfect.

If you’re looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation, this is the right place. The condo is well decorated and stuffed. You feel at home. It is close to the marina where you can swim, rent a kayak, go on a sunset cruise, or have a cozy dinner. Make sure to have some s’mores by the sunset at “the overlook”. The view is outstanding. The hiking trails were gorgeous. The owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Don’t forget to pack all your needs in Sylva before you get there. One last advise, use “Waze” app for direction.

Holy Cow!

This spectacular home is nestled in the mountains of NC. You will find yourself on a winding road taking you to a breathtaking get away. This home is beautifully furnished and very welcoming. It has all of the amenities needed. Morning coffee on the patio overlooking the mountains and the water listening to the wind chime. Can't get better than that! The hikes on property are the best. They are challenging, well marked and the views are amazing. The quaint town of Sylva is close by with offerings of great pizza, craft breweries , bakeries and boutiques. Highly recommend this get away!

Hot and Faulty

Condo was great with a few fixes. Kitchen faucet is broken. No trash bags or dishwasher soap. Air conditioner worked fine the first day and the second day wouldn’t cool at all. It might have something to do with paint crew that were in the condo above. At 7 am the extremely loud thuds and voices started. They were moving all of the furniture around, taking it in and out and dropping it where they could. All 4 of us were woken up at 7 am to the extremely loud noises that went on all day long. The next day was an exact repeat. For a vacay holiday and VRBO stay, 7 am is a little early to get up. Our glasses in the kitchen were even rattling from the repetitive thuds. It happens that at the same time they started work on condo above on that first day, that’s when our ac quit cooling. It was a lovely condo if minor things were fixed as mentioned above.

Familt Vacation June24-July1

Had a great time at Bear Lake. Weather was perfect. Minor hiccup with check in as lower lock was locked with no key but owner texted and we were quickly in Probably the best stocked condo/vrbo I have ever stayed in. Good view of lake, about as close to clubhouse as you can be. Golf course was beautiful but take a lot of balls. Clubhouse was nice and pool area was fun. We rented a boat and went tubing and had a tour of the lake. Some things to keep in mind- no cell service at condo (Verizon) but you do in some places near clubhouse. Wifi at condo worked just fine. Pictures don't do justice to how steep it is to walk some places. Walking to clubhouse can be done but you better be in shape. Stop in Cashiers or Sylva for groceries, it is about25 minutes back out to main road to a dollar general and gas station. Extra private area for rent is nice but again very steep. Dock is nice but be very careful on steps, they are extremely slippery when wet or after rain. Resort didn't charge me resort fee when I arrived but after asking several times what I need to pay, they charged a $150 preservation fee which was lower than what they quoted me. Take several books, the satellite TV would go out but really worked well for being in mountains. Saw 4 bears, beavers, deer, osprey. Close enough for day trips to Highlands/Cashiers and Waynesville.

We loved our stay at this condo! It was very clean, well supplied, and close to the clubhouse! Roberto was very accommodating and friendly! If you’ve never been to Bear Lake Reserve, you really should plan a trip! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful lake vacation

We traveled with my children for a lake getaway and this property was perfect. Super close to the lake club, very well organized and stocked. Very convenient for within the bear lake community. The community itself is great for travel with kids. No one was bored. Very nice staff. Highly recommend!
