Kathryn`s Corner Cottage - Gorgeous Views

Kathryn`s Corner Cottage is located in a popular residential area in Alpine called Carpenter addition. It is beautifully landscaped and features ample parking. 2BR/1BA (master bedroom -king 400 series Serta adjustable bed; 2nd bedroom has a queen size adjustable bed) each with their own smart tvs. The home has a large dining room for meals and gatherings and a sunroom with a gas log fireplace is located at the back of the home perfect for reading, bird watching, or just relaxing.

Charming and welcoming, this home has a touch of sophistication. With a large kitchen, dining room, and sun room, there is space for a family or friends to spread out.

TV - There is not cable or satellite service, however you may log into your account on the smart TV to watch your shows.

I am an experienced host and can promptly respond to any questions or issues. My phone number will be available to you once you complete your reservation.

Kathryn`s is located a residential neighborhood and sits far back on the property providing serenity and privacy. It is across from a popular walking trail around what locals call `The Loop.` It is highly likely that you may see the neighborhood herd of deer grazing in the park across the street or maybe even in the front yard.

The home is near Kokernot Park, Kokernot Stadium, Sul Ross State University and the high school. It is a short 2-3 minute drive to downtown.

The house was charming. Felt just like walking into a familiar home. Beds were comfortable and lovely. Plenty of room for any kind of adventure. The tree in the front yard was gorgeous! Loved having the deer and fox hang out in the yards. Truly close to anything and everything, and far enough to enjoy the view. Thanks

Great Stay!

We were finishing a week of camping and hiking in Big Bend. This was great for what we needed and the walk in shower was lovely. A short drive to get to multiple restaurants. The sunroom and yard are nice and we enjoyed watching the family of mule deer.

This property was very clean and roomy. The neighbor hood was quite and well kept. I definitely recommend staying here. The property manager was easy to communicate with and sent very informative check-in and check-out instructions.

Exploring Big Bend

After a long day at Big Bend, the residence in Alpine felt like home. The comfortable furniture, adjustable bed and huge walk in shower felt like home. Watching the herd of mule deer grazing in the front yard was a pleasant surprise!! We would definitely come again❤️

Kathryn's Corner Cottage was the perfect place for us to stay. The house was tastefully furnished, roomy, and was outfitted with all we needed. The adjustable beds were comfortable. It is a true home away from home. The neighborhood is a good place for walking. We got some glimpses of the deer. If we visit Alpine again, we know where to stay.

Big two bedroom but needs some TLC

Very large place with a private backyard and comfortable beds. The AC was completely broken down during our stay so the house was hot. Luckily the nights were cool.

Alpine respite

The house was an excellent place for us during our stay in the Davis Mountains. All aspects of the house were well maintained and functioned perfectly. What we liked most about the property was its location in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. We also liked the peaceful view of the Davis Mountains from the front room as well as the pleasant outdoor space in the backyard. We recommend the house and its surroundings withour reservation.

Clean, comfortable, and convenient

We came to attend a star party at McDonald Observatory, and were also able to get in a visit to the Museum of the Big Bend and Sul Ross State University. The house was great, well equipped, with really awesome updated bathroom and a vintage kitchen that had more than enough of everything (except ice). We would definitely stay there again. The AC filter needed to be changed, that is our only complaint.

Charming house

I enjoyed Kathryn’ Cottage very much. It was so clean and nicely appointed. It has an original mid century kitchen (so cute) and everything else in the house is updated. The dining room is large enough to host a lovely dinner. Good bed and huge TV. It would have been nice to have cable but there were many streaming channels available. It was a pleasant stay.

Great location passing through the area

Beautiful home, great setup for wife and I and toddler. We appreciated the smart TV's to help entertain the toddler while we made dinner and cleaned up. Property is as described, good communication with the host. A little stressful leaving as we discovered a flat tire in the morning just before Christmas but the host was understanding and gave us some extra time to sort out a tire repair. Would not hesitate to book if in the area.

Home away from home

Staying at Kathryn’s Corner Cottage was truly a comfortable home away from home. Wonderful neighborhood near a golf course and Kokernot Field, with abundant wildlife in the form of birds and visits by several mule deer each morning and evening. Location to downtown, Sul Ross State University, and local amenities was easy to navigate on “the loop.” Comfortable king-sized bed, upgraded shower and soaking tub, multiple smart TV’s throughout, and a cozy gas stove in the den. Great for families, girls getaway or couples. The next time we head to Big Bend or West Texas, we’re definitely making our home base at Kathryn’s Corner in Alpine!

I prepared Thanksgiving dinner for my family, this is my 3rd or 4th stay. I love this place. The backyard has really become more attractive with the recent work. Large place, great 3 season room. Kitchen has a small oven but successfully cooked a 14 lb turkey
