Cozy Cute Cottage with Amazing Farm Views near Harpers Ferry

1 bedroom Cottage with the most beautiful sunsets which you can enjoy while sitting in the outdoor living area sipping a beverage of your choice. In the cooler evenings you have a gas fireplace to keep you toasty and maybe even make smores to enjoy! In the mornings the sunrise is a glorious site popping up over the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are in a small community that is quiet and extremely safe! Located on 3 acres of land on a hill nestled in the middle of 250 acres of farmland. It feels very private here, but we are still within walking distance to downtown Charles Town with restaurants, grocery store, bars and shopping.

The bedroom has a queen bed with a new comfy foam topper. A TV and ceiling fan. The Living room has a brand-new queen sleeper sofa bed with a comfy foam mattress with another TV. I take pride in making sure everything is super CLEAN! Full kitchen with full size refrigerator and washer & dryer. The Kitchen is stocked with all the essentials (pots, pans, plates, some cooking ingredients, Keurig coffee maker with pods, sugar & cream and much more). The shower has a seat and a dispenser with soap, shampoo and conditioner.

The outdoor living area is set up with a patio table, 4 chairs, umbrella, gas fire pit, and a BBQ grill. Cottage is located next to the main house, and you will have your own private space in and around the cottage. All to yourselves to enjoy and relax. Including private parking large enough for 2 cars.

7 Miles to Historic HARPER'S FERRY with museums, restaurants, river rafting and the Aerial Adventure Park and snow tubing!

12 Miles to Shepherdstown which is a cool college town with many amazing restaurants and activities.

2 Miles to Hollywood Casino where they have table games, sports betting, amazing restaurants plus Concerts and Comedy shows.

A short drive up over the Blue Ridge Mountain you will find amazing Virginia wineries and breweries starting at only 10 up to 20 miles away. If you like wine and beer you will love it!

Set well back from the roadway is this romantic and functional cottage on a beautiful farm setting. The cottage has all that you could need for a short stay.

Amazing trip

We had an absolutely amazing time staying here. Everything was clean, organized, and the host was easy to communicate. Super close to both Harper’s Ferry and Charles town. Great restaurants, farmers markets, coffee shops, and adventure activities. Highly recommend staying here.

Cozy Clean Peaceful Cottage

We spent two months in this super clean, adorable cozy cottage while our new home was being built. It is nestled on a hill with amazing views and fields all around you. Lisa and Mark were wonderful hosts and responded to any questions within minutes. We would highly recommend staying here... it's a perfect place to relax and unwind as you visit all the area has to offer.

Lovely weekend getaway

Very clean, very quiet, and super chill. Ate meals on the patio with lovely views over the fields and mountains in good weather, and curled up cozy inside while the weather was wet. Easy access to a lot of places - spent some time in Charles Town, went to a craft fair nearby, headed to Berryville for another craft festival, and spent a day in Harper’s Ferry, all without spending more than 30 mins in the car at a time.

Perfect cottage.

My wife and I really enjoyed this perfect, little cottage. It was very comfortable and had all the ammenities we needed. It was also located in a beautiful, golden wheat field. It was very picturesque. It was conveniently located to downtown Charles Town. We drove our EV and charged for free at The American Public University charging stations a short 1/2 mile down the road. The only thing better than all of this was the timely and easy communication with the owner, Lisa. We would stay here again, no doubt.

Excellent stay

It was beautiful! Clean with everything you need. Host was very accommodating and responsive. FYI- this right next to a family residence, so if you are expecting the facility to be on its own property, this is not the case. Wasn’t an issue and the property and view was beautiful.

Truly a cute cozy cottage!

Our family of 4 stayed here for a week. We primarily used it as a place to lay our heads at night while we visited nearby attractions. We visited Shenandoah National Park, Gettysburg, Antietam, Harper’s Ferry, and Washington D.C. The Cozy Cottage was well equipped with everything from linens to toiletries to pots, pans, lighters, and citronella candles. The AC went out the first night we were there. We contacted the host who immediately went to work to remedy the situation. Lisa offered to put us up in a hotel room and refund our trip. While we were off exploring the national park, Lisa had a window ac unit placed along with an oscillating fan. We came back to a nice cool cabin and stayed the entirety of our trip there. I would absolutely stay here again if we were ever back in the area.

Perfect little hideaway

GREAT LOCATION WITH HILLTOP VIEWS

The cottage was as nice as advertised, and the hilltop views were even better than we had anticipated. We enjoyed several dinners at the outdoor table where we could admire the views and watch the fireflies and birds. A picturesque getaway in a central location for exploring the surrounding area...Charles Town, Antietam Battlefield, Harper's Ferry, C&O Canal, Boonsboro, Shepherdstown, Sharpsburg, Brunswick, Williamsport, and Hagerstown. We also enjoyed a Saturday visit to the Burwell-Morgan Mill in Millwood, Virginia -- a working grist mill built in the 1700's.

So first thought driving up the drive with cornfield on both sides I’m thinking Children of the Corn but as I approach the Cozy Cottage it turns to Field of Dreams build it an they will come. It was a Awesome Cozy Cottage. Lisa an Mark are two of the nicest host you will ever met. Short trip to Paddy’s Pub an a great visit at The Barn in Harpers Ferry with pizza delivered from Anthony’s Pizza. Just a awesome visit to West Virginia Charles Town at the Cozy Cottage with great host Lisa an Mark ..

Quiet and lovely

Perfect

Just wonderful. A perfect blend of exactly what you need without cramping the space. Very fresh, feels new, with top notch cleanliness. Cottage is atop a hill, adjancent to the owners home, but it feels totally separate and private. Beautiful views. The creature comforts were spot on, like cold AC, Wifi/streaming abilities, and bedding. Had good storage/shelving and drawers so we could stay organized when unpacked. All in all, we were very pleased!

Amazing getaway

My husband and I celebrated our 15year anniversary in WV and found this amazing gem. The owners are super friendly, the rental was immaculate and the decor was inviting. If your looking for a great place to stay, do not look beyond the Cozy Cottage. We definitely plan to visit again!

Excellent getaway with friends

The cottage was the perfect stay for a quick girls weekend in Charles Town. Although our hiking plans were ruined due to some unexpected snowfall, we still had a great time. The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The host was excellent too! When one of our vehicles got stuck in the snow, the host (Lisa) called her brother to help us get the car out. Despite the snow, we were able to enjoy the local wineries, grab some good food in town and enjoy our trip!

Perfect for us

We had a lovely time on the property for two nights, a first time away for us as a new couple AND a birthday celebration. Lisa was communicative, super helpful, reassuring that this would be good, and helped to make it a special time. Even though the cottage is right next to the garage of the main house, it still felt very private. And the location, especially in the winter, allowed for an almost 360 horizon view, which was amazing for stargazing and wondering about how there could be so many planes in the sky late at night. Going where? From where? The quiet of the Cozy Cottage made it possible to have these thoughts.

Exceptional Gem in Charles Town Area

Our stay here truly was splendid. Everything on this property is exactly as described, with thoughtful touches everywhere. I wondered how a property billed as close to amenities could also have a more rural, bucolic atmosphere — but this property definitely immerses one in the country-side while being in close proximity to what the area has to offer. And the bed is one of the most comfortable beds I’ve stayed in for awhile! Great property, and great communication by the property-owner.

I've lived in this area my whole life. Born and raised in Harpers Ferry, WV and now living in Charles Town. My husband grew up in Charles Town as well. We love to visit other areas but can't imagine living anywhere but here!

Growing up in Harpers Ferry and Charles Town we have a good understanding of the area and can give suggestions on the best places to visit and see depending on areas of interest. My husband and his family have farmed many acres of land in this county for 50 plus years. We travel a lot but are always very happy to come back home.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We love this property. It was built in 1969, so we completely renovated it and made it our own in 2017. The best part for us is the location and the views. We are on top of a hill with no neighbors and our 3 acres of land are nestled in the middle of 250 acres of farmland (that my husband farms) BUT I can also walk to downtown Charles Town to the restaurants and shopping. We think it's the best of both worlds!
