The Retreat at Harpers Ferry

Tucked into the hills of historic Harpers Ferry, The Retreat is a spacious 5-bedroom getaway built for gathering. Whether you're planning a family reunion, a friends' weekend, or a multi-generational trip, there's room for everyone to spread out and plenty of cozy corners to come back together.



Sleeping arrangements - sleeps up to 13 (comfortably 10):

Main level:

-King-bed master with adjacent bath, plus a queen second bedroom.

-A second full bathroom.



Upstairs:

-A queen bedroom

-Two additional rooms with full beds (great for kids, or one adult who likes to stretch out)

Living room: Queen pullout sofa for extra guests or a kids' "campout"



Living & gathering spaces:

The full kitchen and separate dining room make group meals easy, and the living room is the kind of place where everyone naturally lands at the end of the day - coffee in the morning, board games or a movie at night.



Outdoor space:

There's a shared outdoor area for relaxing, morning coffee, or a glass of wine after a day of hiking. It's shared with the guests staying in our smaller Petite Retreat unit next door - plenty of room for everyone to enjoy.



Location & getting around:

You're under a mile from the heart of historic downtown, an easy walk to the shops and restaurants on High Street and the spot where the Potomac and Shenandoah meet. The Appalachian Trail runs right through town, with miles of hiking just steps from the front door, including the climb up Maryland Heights for that iconic overlook. Civil War history, kayaking, tubing, and seasonal festivals are all within walking or short driving distance.



Parking:

Ample on-site parking - no juggling spots or hunting for street parking when the whole crew arrives.
