Nestled down among the pines, this enchanting A-Frame sits on the bank of the Saint Vrain river. Located in the Roosevelt National Forest, 11 miles up the most beautiful canyon, just past Lyons. Popular attractions such as Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, Boulder, and Nederland are just a short drive away.

The home features two sleeping corridors upstairs- a master bedroom with a king sized bed and a top balcony overlooking the river. The adjoining room has two twin beds. The downstairs living room is centered around a cozy fire place and is equipped with a television, books, and games for rainy days. Full bath with an oversized clawfoot tub and shower combo. Modern kitchen supplied with all the creature comforts from home and a full size dinning table. Outdoor patio with a gas grill and ample amount of seating.

This Rocky Mountain riverside retreat was spectacular! We have always dreamed of staying in an A frame house and this was the perfect choice for my wife and I. Thisbcabin was the perfect location with the St Vrain river in the back yard. The mountain view, the sound of the water, the beautiful view of the mountain behind the cabin were awe inspiring. We loved the steps down to the river and the platform to meditate and soak in the morning sun and mountain air. This is a quiet area with only the sounds of nature. We stayed 4 nights and didn't want to leave. It was exactly what we wanted and needed. The location is close to many of RMNP side access areas. The drive from the cabin to RMNP east entrance is glorious! This cabin was stocked with amenities from the fireplace which kept the entire place warm on the cool rainy nights we had, to the kitchen full of everything you need. The water is hot for showers, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and relaxing in the living room while playing guitar was so great! Communication with the host, Taylor and Tyler was easy and their response was fast! Their directions, explanations, and information was very detailed. We had no problems, but if we did, I am confident that they would have been on the spot to assist. Our only disappointment is that we didn't see a bear or a mountain lion. I'm sure I'm leaving out some other awesome things, but overall, 10 out of 5 stars for this gem! Thank you Taylor and Tyler for the stay!

The cabin was very peaceful. Listening to the river all day and night was so relaxing. Cabin was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed our time there. Sad we didn’t see any wildlife.

Absolutely gorgeous property. We loved sitting by the river and having coffee on the upper deck. The guys loved that they could fish in the river first thing in the morning, and I loved sitting on the yoga deck, listening to the river while reading. Great vacation! We hope you be back next year!

We loved sitting out on the porch and listening to the water rush by. Beds were super comfortable. Beautiful area. Quick drive to Estes Park/RMNP. Would stay again. WiFi is good but be aware no cell service.

PERFECT LOCATION for our stay for our son’s wedding at Wild Basin Lodge. Close to Estes Park, Brainard, Lyons, Longmont and Boulder for all of our wedding events and errands.The Riverfront at the cabin was AMAZING!!!!Cabin furnishings were well thought out.SO MANY wildflowers on the property!!!!

Amazing trip

We had an amazing time getting away and disconnecting! The house had all the amenities we needed. It was quiet and somewhat secluded. While packing up I looked up and a moose was looking through the window at me!! One thing to note, there is absolutely no cell signal there. I arrived and didn't have the code to get the keys so I had to drive to get signal so I could get in. Luckily the Raymond store up the road had free wifi.

Magical

Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven. The rocky, burbling creek is the selling point of this property. We spent most of our free time on the patio next to the water. The communication from the hosts is excellent with very clear instructions, The home has everything you need and we were comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing.

The cabin was extremely clean and cozy. You can hear the river from the master bedroom making for an amazing night of sleep. This is the perfect place if you’re looking for a quiet getaway. Estes Park is a very scenic 30 minute drive away and gives you access to everything you would need.

Mind & Soul at Peace!

Can’t wait to stay here again. My daughter, a freshman at CSU had a small break from school. I traveled from Illinois to stay here with her for the long weekend. This place was exactly what we needed to relax, decompress and listen to nature. It was absolutely perfect in every way. It was clean, the location is beautiful and quiet. There are neighbors but you can’t really even see their house. Despite there being neighbors, we felt completely alone. I can’t even describe the walk down to the river, words can’t describe how absolutely beautiful it is. The master bed along with the bedding was perfect, so comfortable and cozy, we slept amazing each night. The owners were quick to respond to me. I appreciated the cold spring water, it was delicious! We grilled out and played games, and relaxed! Bonus, the owners left 2 pairs of wader boots so we were able to walk the river a bit. I’ve never felt so at ease and comfortable as I did when staying here.

A Frame

Lots to like. It is nicely appointed and is on the river. Downsides are there are few windows and even fewer with screens. This is problematic in the summer as there is no AC. Additionally, this is not a secluded location. It’s in a neighborhood of sorts, and the property next door and across the river are less than desirable. Despite those limitations, it’s a nice property and the owner is very communicable.

Wonderful Place

Beautiful properly in a perfect spot to explore all that the RMNP has to offer! The property was convenient, clean, and had all that you need for a comfortable & affordable stay. My favorite experiance was coffee on the deck watching wildlife and listening to the river. I would highly recommend.

Cute little cabin by the river.

Cute little cabin in Riverside close to Lyons. House has all you need including kitchen utensils, toiletries and games. They left bottled water for us which was great! The stairs to the second floor, where the bedrooms are, is a little small so I wouldn’t recommended for people with mobility isssues or elderly. Bathroom is in the first floor. We were looking for simple, secluded and nature so it was great for us. We played games and watch a movie by the fireplace after hiking all day. We even saw a big moose in the backyard.

Clean but dated cabin, but great spot by the river

This cabin is on a beautiful lot right by the river. You can hear the sounds of the river while hanging out in the cabin. It was very clean, but also dated. The furniture was not comfortable as it was older, like mid century style. A few things that weren’t great: very little water pressure in the shower, only had a one cup coffee maker, light switch in living room did not work so we had no lights in that area, smoke detectors on main level were missing-kind of a big deal, and bulbs throughout home were missing as well. So lighting was kind of an issue at night. It is about 35 minutes to Estes and it was a beautiful drive. I would not stay again just due to comfortability, but it was clean and a nice outside area.

Driving into the canyon and I can feel my stress melt away. The cliffs are so big and suddenly my problems so small. The riverside community is quaint and the river road quiet. Pulling up and seeing the poppies, my heart begins to sing. The evergreens feel like a warm hug as I walk towards the rushing river. I can breathe. I sit on the edge, admiring the structure of the bank and of the obstacles of rocks through which the water flows. So many paths, yet only one direction; in and through. A hummingbird keeps close by. I haven't been home in quite some time. It feels good to be home.
