Good Old Country Living

This spacious home is situated on ~two acres in Nesbit, MS. The tranquility of the country while being close "enough" to the city makes Old Country Living an ideal place to spend your days or weekends. It's also an ideal place for families to stay while playing in one of the many local youth tournaments in the North Mississippi area. Take in a few grounders (or pop ups), get in some soft toss, dribble, run, kick, flip or practice your swing in our spacious back and side lawns.

Enjoy waking up to a potential deer on the property? Do you like quiet country nights looking up at the clear sky? Just need to get away from it all? Sounds you need some Old Country Living!

Nesbit lies just south of the Tennessee border (7miles) with easy access via U.S Route 51 and Interstate 55 to neighboring cities/towns (Hernando, Horn Lake, Southaven, Olive Branch and Memphis, TN).

This place was wonderful. The home was very spacious with plenty of beds and bathrooms. It is in a quiet neighborhood yet just a few minutes drive to city life. I would definitely use it again if in the area.

Great country home for the holidays

Great space for family and friends. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. There is a lot of outdoor space for kids to run around and play. The kitchen was well stocked and functional as we cooked Thanksgiving dinner here.

Nice Stay

Our stay was very enjoyable. The property was nice, clean and spacious and all the amenities were easy to locate. It was an easy check-in and the property manager responded quickly to my reservation. The property was well lit for our late night arrival. We enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere and the nice welcome note. We will be staying again on our next visit.

Home away from home

My second time at this property. It will always be my go to when traveling to the area. Stayed here with family was in town to celebrate a milestone birthday. As always this home was more than accommodating and stocked well for the duration of our stay. The area is quiet, nice and conveniently located for any of your shopping needs.

Superb Country Vacation Spot

The amazing thing about this well maintained, magazine-class, well-appointed large home, is not just the fact it is so peaceful and away from the rat race, but how close you are to all the things you and I are accustomed to accessing: coffee shops; fine southern dining or anything else you need! The management is very responsive to any questions or observations and you feel well taken care of. We had just relocated our son from the military in central Texas and this was the perfect spot to just rest and regroup for his young family (wife and two toddlers) and my wife and myself. Thank you to Robert and Catrice.

Ahhhh... a breath of fresh air!

The house is beautifully updated. It is situated amongst rolling country hills and stunning views of a neighboring lake. The beds were nice and comfortable. This is going to be my goto place to stay every time we visit the Memphis area. We were minutes away from downtown Memphis. We got to the Memphis in May festivals in record time. The hosts were great and very attentive. I would book my stay early if you plan to visit the TN, MS, ARK area.

It wasn't the owner fault about the the cleanliness because she didn't know, but it wasn't bad. Me and my friends finish the rest. She allowed us to come, the home was beautiful.

Need more(or thicker)pillows in 2 guest rooms. Blackout curtain needed in master bdrm. Dead bugs everywhere along baseboards so couldn't take shoes off. One toilet not working. Bad fill valve. Had to pour water in tank with pitcher to flush.

Not worth the money

The property was clean and well sized. However, there was a security light that shined in the master bedroom that made it very bright at night. I tried to contact the owner twice and got no response. Also, the house was super fragrant due to 10 or more glade plug ins located throughout the house. The smell was so strong that it was nauseating. Also there was terrible water pressure and we could not get hot water to the master shower and it took 5 minutes or more to get it in the kitchen. Lastly the master bathtub did not drain well. So it was difficult for more than one person to take a bath per night.

Best Country Living Experience Ever!!!

Hands down this is one of the cleanest, most welcoming and peaceful properties/areas I’ve ever stayed in. You can smell the freshness upon entering. The pictures do not represent this property well as it is waaaay better than what’s shown during booking. Obviously there’s been some updates. There was more than enough space and accommodated our family comfortably. Well equipped kitchen, endless clean linen and very comfortable beds. I would definitely stay here again when visiting.

Beautiful property

If you looking for a nice clean good country view this is the spot! So spacious and clean. Smelled so good soon as well entered. Neighbors were very welcoming & so as the host very nice & welcoming! I would definitely rate 5 stars for this property !

Family Vacation

House was overall nice. Part of the house was dated (kitchen and bathroom) but the other part was not. Tv in bedroom did not work. It looked to be that the house has had some water roof leakage/damage that was fixed due to the stains on the master closet and addition on the back of the house (it rained while we were there and there were no fresh leaks.) Beds are all very firm. Communication with owner was great, called to thank us for booking and called day of to make sure we had all the info we needed.
