Fantastic Summer Getaway

After a long drive from WI to MS, it was great to tour the house and settle in for a few days of R&R by the pool. The house is spacious and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Ten out of ten stars!

Annual Getaway Spot

This is our fourth time staying at this property. The pool was pristine and house clean! Blair texted that it was ready for check-in early and everything went smooth, just like usual.

Family Reunion

This home was perfect for our family reunion. Blair and Michelle were great hosts. They responded to each request snd question in a timely fashion. We all loved the pool and back yard space.

Blended family stau

3 sisters and their families stayed for 4 days while visit from NY for a wedding. The owner was nice enough to extend our checkout time since the house was not rented on our checkout day. This helped give us all enough time to get ready and have us a place to wait until the late afternoon wedding time. The pool Was clean and a great distraction for all Of us.

Horn Lake Retreat

Our group consisted of eight adults and a pair of 3-year-olds. We had such a great time in the pool and cabana that we never wanted to leave the property! The owner provided a large Bluetooth speaker that ran all day long and gave us a light show at night! There are plenty of shopping options nearby both for essentials/groceries and retail therapy. We didn't take advantage of any of the nearby dining (because we didn't want to leave the pool!) but there were several great options within a short drive. It is a great place to relax, recharge and reconnect with old friends.

My friends an I stayed in a beautiful home, but was sorely disappointed that the upkeep of the

Property was not good at all. The home was dirty, not clean, we had to clean linen all the bed linen, they were all badly stained, the pool furniture was dirty, everything outside needed to be wiped down, refrigerator an stove not clean, water was coming from underneath the sink area, the garage had cob webs everywhere, debris from previous renters were visible on the carpet an wood floors..the entire home really need to be deep cleaned before anyone else rent the home

Beautiful but needs work

The pictures that you see online are indeed part of the house that you will be staying in...the only problem is you do not see the dust, the dirt, the grime and or the insects that this house has accumulated. Do not get me wrong, the house is beautiful inside and outside but the maintenance on the house is not up to par. In the Master Bedroom downstairs, my parents couldn't even turn on the fan in fear that they wouldn't be able to sleep in the room for the rest of the vacation. The dust had accumulated on the fans in the Master and the living room and it was just too much. We all have terrible allergies and I had my newborn twins there and because the house was surrounded by trees we decided we couldn't clean up the dust and air out the house either because the trees and the pollen may have been just as intense if not more than what we were dealing with inside. The beds were full of dust, luckily, my parents brought their own linens and used them. Another down side was that it was 78 degrees and we wanted to sit outside in the cabana area and could not do so because it had not been cleaned in what seemed like years. All the chairs were full of dust and dirt, the tables were filthy with left over food and or drink along with the dirt and dust, then the chair cushions for the cabana and the pool chairs were all torn up and honestly didn't even look "sittable"...(Yes I made up a word). Altogether, the house was beautiful, but it is clearly way to big for one or two people to maintain. They really need HOA to get involved in the upkeep of this house. It really is a shame that the house looks as bad as it does when it has so much more potential. All the reviews before mine were amazing and honestly I didn't think we would have any problem(s)...so, take what I said with a grain of salt and decide what you want. Good luck!

Great place to reconnect

Private venue perfect for a reunion of friends. House needs some updating/work. (Kitchen cook top, kitchen faucet, upstairs shower door, new cookware). Pool is deep so care must be taken if you have kids. Communication with owner was without flaw and easy to check in and out.

Dirty needs a lot of attention

We met at Horn Lake for family reunion. Upon arrival we were greatly disappointed with how dirty the entire house was. There were cobwebs with spider sacks all over the house. The bathroom toilets had urine on the outside. The glass tables still had water spots. Inside of appliances were dirty. One of he downstairs beds was so noisy that it was impossible to get a good night's sleep for the couple in that room The outdoor furniture pads are dirty and ripped. There was no wifi and no working tvs. We contacted the owner and he came immediately over. We did renegotiate the price of our stay and purchased cleaning supplies to attempt to clean enough to feel comfortable. The house needs a detailed cleaning, paint job and upgrading of bedding and some furniture. If we had not renegotiated the price of our stay we would have looked elsewhere.
