Spectacular Bras d’Or view, 1 bedroom suites w/ full kitchen

We just finished construction on these contemporary 1 bedroom, 1 bath suites, 2021 is our first season. Each unit has a full kitchen with a dining bar, and a large 200 sq. ft. deck, offering spectacular views of the Bras d'Or Lake. Large sliding glass doors and oversized windows make these cozy suites bright and airy. Many of the furnishings were custom built in our woodshop. We are only a short walk to the popular Frolic and Folk Pub & Restaurant for great dining and live entertainment. Across from the Pub, visit the Highland Village, a Gaelic living history museum and cultural center. Sun and swim on one of the many beaches within a few minutes of Hector's Point. Centrally located on Cape Breton Island, there are many attractions close enough for a day trips, including Baddeck, The Fort of Louisburg, Eskasoni & Whycocogamah cultural Centers, Bird Island Boat Tours, & Sydney.

The property was exactly as advertised. Very clean and comfortable. Since it was the middle of our trip the ability to do laundry was a huge bonus!! We also had a great view of the resident eagle. Janet was readily available if we had any questions or needs. Thanks for a great spot to hang out in Nova Scotia!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely, scenic location. It's truly a place for quiet relaxation. The property was clean and comfortable with beautiful lake views. And it's the only property we've ever stayed at with "eagle food" available to anyone who's interested in feeding the eagles perched in nearby trees.

Very much as advertised and thus a great stay 10 / 10.And what a view !Super clean, modern and very well appointed. Any unit stay hosts (who live on site) who supply cooking oil, cling wrap, alfoil, paper towel, some herbs, etc; as here, deserve to also be commended.A very comfy (firmish) mattress and also pleasing (firm) pillows. Good bedroom lighting as well for reading; which is often a neglected feature in such stays.We made full use of the full kitchen supplied in the unit, as touring this part of eastern Canada for 6 weeks, in so doing was better for both our diet and our budget. You do need to plan ahead though re supermarket purchases prior to your arrival. There is a pub with meals though just up the road.We also made good use of the free to access, separate laundry room with its clothes washer and drier and supplied cleaning products.We did see the pair of neighbourhood Bald Eagles.The stay is a good base to drive the (long) Cabot Trail coastal road and to go back another day into Sydney, etc for sightseeing. You need to allow at least 3 nights here for this. Road surface conditions then across a lot of this part of Cape Breton were sometimes great; but often not slower driving than you might have expected. A recent heavy rain event has added to this traveller’s issue.

Friendly hosts. Beautiful waterfront views with gorgeous sunsets. Enjoyed watching bald eagles with my morning coffee. Suites are comfortable, clean and practical.Remote but quality grocery store a short drive away.

Very nice 1 bedroom unit with very well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable, very clean. Great views. Host is extremely easy to communicate with, responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Astonishingly perfect

This place is truly a gem. We travel alot and stay in alot of rentals, and this one perhaps has been our favorite. Everything is so well thought out. It is comfortable, cozy, had everything you need, quiet and the view is spectacular.

Absolutely amazing!

Hector's Point cabins did not disappoint. The views and the wildlife were stunning!! The location is central to the entire island. The cabin was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities plus some! Janet and Rob were amazing hosts, super friendly and readily available if anything was needed. We definitely reccomend this place for an amazing experience!

First Class rental in every detail

Great stay in this well equipped, well-stocked rental. Stunning views of the lake from a great deck. Quiet, super clean & comfortable! Location worked well for our trips to the Cabot Trail. Hosts were friendly & helpful. Kudos to a 1st-class operation.

Amazing water views and spotless cabin

This was the first stop of our 10 day tour of Nova Scotia. We were spoiled. We enjoyed the wildlife and views from the deck. Host was very kind and cabin had everything we needed. Absolutely spotless and so organized. Hope to return one day.

Let's see - the photo of the lake does it justice. The view was stunning. The cottage was good sized, well designed, and had everything we needed. There was even a laundry room about 10 meters away (30 feet for us Americans) which was MUCH appreciated. One word of caution to travelers - when the host advises you to come with groceries, DO it. We came later on a Sunday evening, would have had to drive two hours round trip to a supermarket (which was closed but which we had passed en route while it was open), and ended up driving 90 minutes round trip to a Circle K for food that was not very good for us. Our mistake, but you should learn from it. Restaurants are not plentiful. We stayed her as a place to launch our drive on the Cabot Trail the next day, and it was perfect for that. Just be aware it's kind of remote. Very peaceful. Oh, yeah - they even have resident eagles in the yard and food you can leave out for them. A very nice stay.

Very comfortable cabin with a spectacular view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable cabin, which has everything needed for a happy vacation. The host clearly cares about the property and the well-being of her guests. Little touches such as the lovely flower box outside the door are a testament to this. In addition, the view from the deck is truly spectacular. This is a place to enjoy peace and beautiful nature. We warmly recommend this holiday rental.

Fabulous spot

We had a great stay beautiful clean cottage! Hosts were terrific and we got to feed Eagles and watch them swoop down and grab the food. It was an awesome sight!!! We would definitely stay here again and plan to and would highly recommend it to people looking for a relaxing get away. Lovely views and lots of scenic spots to visit. We walked a beach not far from the cottage daily first thing in the morning with the dog. Then we set off exploring daily. Highly recommend!!!
