In area for family gathering. Location was great - off the main roads but still close to all the places we needed to visit. Accommodations satisfied our needs well.

Beautifully Quiet

We needed a place to stay for an extended period (5 weeks) and found this place to be perfect! The quietness is one of the many wonderful things we can say! Very clean and fully equipped. Ed and Joy are wonderful, salt of the earth folks who are passionate about their property and very easy to talk to. We’d definitely love to return for another visit.

An excellent stay with unexpected amenities

My best stay at a VRBO I have had.The property had several unexpected benefits. Right at the top, I will put Zuzu, the host's awesome cat. If you are traveling and are missing an animal, Zuzu will take about as much gentle affection as one is willing to provide. If you are into birds, There are many of those around. I happened to be traveling during what is considered the 'Best Week in American Birding', so I expected to see some birds I don't usually see. Between the Merlin App and what I saw, I heard/saw 44 species of birds in the 4 days I tried. Most were right in the back yard including a really cool interaction with 3 Red-Headed Woodpeckers.The only actual birding trip I took was to the very near Wadewitz Nature Camp. It is open Business hours, so I was only able to fit in the 2-mile loop during one lunch, but seems like a really nice park, even though I went on Mowing day, which isn't super-great for nature trails. The drip coffee maker was in the listing, but I didn't notice that part so it too was unexpected and appreciated. Plus there was a fresh bag of coffee! Perhaps less sexy, but on the list for me, there was a separate bin for recycling. I didn't need to stress out about what I was needing to throw away while traveling and that is a big deal to me. Overall, a very pleasant stay. If you are uninterested in nature and are looking for an experience that is more like a hotel, it might not be your thing.

Great Place

Very clean, nice location, very quiet, wonderful hosts. The pool was very clean, which is a hard thing to do considering all the trees around the area and property. I wish all the properties/hotels we stayed in were like this. The pictures on this site is what you get, which again was great.

Just what we needed.

We were in town for a funeral and needed a place to set up base for a few days. The family farm was crowded, and hotel options weren't great. This was a perfect option. The beds were comfortable. Having a kitchen was nice coming back at night. The Internet worked well as I had work to do. Very happy with the stay.
